  • Jungle Treetop Hideaway!!

"My partner and I were able to totally unwind and unplug from the world in this jungle love nest! We loved how the lush tropical trees cocooned us in an array of green (from the leaves) and gold (from the sun). It had all the amenities needed when we wanted to hole ourselves in for some much needed relaxation and was close to incredible hiking, snorkeling, and other fun activities when we were seeking adventure. The neighbors in the area were all full of aloha and offered us free fresh fruit! YUMMY!! The first night was a bit hard to sleep as the Coqui frogs and other jungle critters were pretty active but we quickly got used to them and now we're back home we miss their nightly serenade dearly! Just a 5 minute stroll to the infamous Kehena Black Beach (just make sure you have good shoes with you as flip flops can make it very dangerous to get down into)."

  • Spacious house in great location!!

"We stayed here for almost a week at the beginning of April. We dealt with Juan who was very friendly, helpful, informative, honest & willing to answer any questions. He was hospitable & genuinely all about making our stay the best ever. PROS: -the house was clean, big & spacious (there was only 2 of us so we had more than enough room). The inside was not cluttered with too much furniture, decorations & other stuff but instead nicely furnished & organized. -the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, the couch was super comfy (so was the bed), the comforters were soft (it was nice to have those instead of just sheets to cover ourselves with as some nights can get cooler), the master bath was huge, water pressure good, plenty of hot water, the second 1/2 bath upstairs was great to have, plenty of closet & dresser space for our things, lot's of different lighting & switches to play with, many beach accessories to make use of (the beach chairs were super). -good internet connection. -less than a minute to the black sand beach & very close to other places of interest. -located in a nice, quiet area (even though the house is right by the road the traffic is very minimal). -not much vegetation around the house (good because the bugs stay away & there's plenty of light during the day, bad because there is less privacy). CONS: -no lamps on the night stands (made it difficult to read in bed without disturbing my better half since the main light had to be on). -poor lighting in the master bath (lights above the mirrors have not been installed, just the ceiling light). -no black out drapes on the lanai doors (for those persons that need dark to sleep……..so no sleeping in I guess!!). -no screens on both lanai doors (did not pose a problem for us during the day but once it got dark and the bug activity increased we had to keep them closed. But since the nights were still a bit cool it did not bother us too much because we were able to get a nice breeze going from all of the other windows). Also, there is one huge window by the stairs that would make a big difference, but for some reason it does not have a screen so we didn't open it. -no cable tv (for those rainy days or relaxing nights). Also, very limited stock of movies (we rented from town a few times). -no phone reception. -no A/C (rarely ever need it anyway), but only 1 fan upstairs from what I recall. This house is perfect for a larger group or family. Worth checking out."

  • Perfect Island Getaway

"We were only on the Big Island for two days but we could have stayed a month in this beautiful and well stocked house. The ocean view is magnificent and we didn't even want to leave to do other sight seeing. I recommend flying into Hilo and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby in Pahoa. You are only about 30 minutes from Volcano Park and you can take some wonderful walks on the lava shelf along the ocean right in your backyard. We loved it!!!!"

  • Amazing vacation home!!

"This home is an absolutely amazing home to have as an accommodation on The Big Island!! It's clean, open, very spacious with one bed room upstairs and one down stairs. It has a very relaxing atmosphere and huge yard. Also, it's very private and quiet, perfect for a special get away. The views of the ocean are gorgeous from either of the balconies and you could leave the windows and balcony door open to hear the waves crashing all night long. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook, minus the food of course. Also, the yard is lush and beautiful. It was very nice to have a pleather a tv channels and also free Wifi during our stay. Surrounded by lots of activities and things to do. We would definitely stay at this home again!!"
