  • "Real" Hawaiian vacation

"My husband and I stayed here for a week and the stay was nothing shy of amazing!! The house is in a jungle type setting. Its so much better to stay in a home thats in an actual neighborhood than in a resort. It gives you the real feel of what it's like to live in Hawaii. Mother nature comes alive at night as the frogs sing you to sleep and you can wake up to the most beautiful sunrises you will ever see!! It's a little far from town but completely worth it! Friendly neighbors too!"

  • Paradise in Puna!

"My partner and I arrived on the 30th of August for a 10 day stay in the main house with other friends arriving later. We were a total of five guests and we were all gathering for the marriage of two dear friends taking place nearby in Puna. Our stay could not have been more incredible if it had been written in a fairy tale! Our hosts were amazing and the house was beyond what any of us could have imagined. Everything we required was there and if it wasn't it was taken care of immediately and with good cheer by Robert, the owner. I cannot be more emphatic about the beauty of this property. The house itself is an architectural gem. The gardens are mature and glorious in the diversity of textures and colours of the local and indigenous flora. The decoration of the house is superb and comfortable. In all, this property is a complete exercise in the great art of the integration of architecture, landscape and decoration all combining to create one magic whole! To say that the house was comfortable is an understatement. So many places to rest, relax and play. The Lanai and adjoining swimming pool became the epicenter of the "indoor/outdoor" life we were privileged to be enjoying. The peacefulness of this property nestled in the lava flow cannot be expressed in words. From our bedroom we woke every morning to the rising sun over the old lava field - from the 1950's lava flow - and the ocean in the near distance. What better way to start any day?! In addition to the glory of the house itself is the fact that it sits in one of the most idyllic locations on the planet. The beauty of the natural landscape and the ocean as the two melt into each other is breathtaking. The house is also close enough to excellent shopping with a natural foods market - Island Naturals - that rivals Whole Foods in its offering of excellent local fruits, vegetables and meats in addition to all the other foodstuffs that one would require or want. There are also many other local offerings such as the nearby yoga retreat, the natural hot water pools and the snorkeling and especially the amazing black sand beaches set amidst the drama of the rocky cliffs that edge the Big Island here as the Pacific Ocean crashes into it. It is also not too far from Volcano National Park which is a must see for anyone who visits the area. We have traveled extensively around the world and definitely consider this one of our top finds. We are looking forward to the day we return!"

  • Many Moments of Zen

"This was a vacation I will never forget. The setting, the house itself, the lovely community resonated with every member of our family of 4. My teen and tween stared in awe at the ocean like they never looked at a smart phone. We all found the rhythm of the crashing surf to be the perfect tempo for relaxation and reconnection. The view is fabulous. The house is comfortable, inspiring, simple yet well-appointed. There are little surprises to discover every day This is a place to renew, to celebrate, to reflect. I hope to go back there someday!"

  • Amazing vacation home!!

"This home is an absolutely amazing home to have as an accommodation on The Big Island!! It's clean, open, very spacious with one bed room upstairs and one down stairs. It has a very relaxing atmosphere and huge yard. Also, it's very private and quiet, perfect for a special get away. The views of the ocean are gorgeous from either of the balconies and you could leave the windows and balcony door open to hear the waves crashing all night long. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook, minus the food of course. Also, the yard is lush and beautiful. It was very nice to have a pleather a tv channels and also free Wifi during our stay. Surrounded by lots of activities and things to do. We would definitely stay at this home again!!"
