"Pictures here are far exceeded by actually being here. The home is perfectly decorated, has great feel and energy, and was a peaceful and endearing place to relax for a week.
The sounds of the ocean crashing on the rocks outside is mesmerizing. The stars you can see form the rooftop deck are beyond comprehension.
The home is very comfortable - the bedding, the furniture, everything down to the nice soaps and lotions.
Pahao is a great little town to get groceries (excellent wholesome market), plus great dining options (Pele's for breakfast is a must) and Kaleo's for dinner.
Plenty to do nearby - tide pools, kayaking and swimming right in back, warm pool/ponds, Volcano National Park (you can spend a few days here!), or just relaxing at home.
The elevator to/from the garage is quite handy. The toys are all great to use (bikes, kayaks, snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc). The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns.
We have stayed in Hawaii many times (always via verb.com) and this was the home was the best. Hands down. Go enjoy!!"

"My husband and I stayed here for 21 days and it was Wonderful. There is no television But there is Wi-Fi. I enjoyed the soaker tub with shower. Loved the many fresh fruits and avocados, walking distance to the kehena beach and short drive to warm pools and tide pools as well as Pahoa village (Nings Thai food was great). Loved Makuu and Pahoa markets(kind of like a weekly flea markets) and uncle Roberts for local entertainment. A car is needed but I suggest checking to rent one from local instead of rental place.
This is a Wonderful place to stay full of nature.
Thank you Dave for your kindness, glad to have seen the newly hatched ducks."

"If you are looking for a very secluded spot near Hawaii Volcano National Park, this is the spot. The house is very tastefully decorated - quality - not full of brick-brack-tack-tack. It is clean and lovely. A perfect retreat."

"What a lovely and charming home! My family and I spent two days at Hale Koa Nani. This house is beautiful, spacious and nicely decorated. It has all the comforts of home. It was wonderful having wireless internet, cable TV, and full kitchen amenities. Outside of the house was as amazing as the inside. The secluded backyard garden is a little Hawaiian paradise. The chirping of the birds, the trees and flowers...it definitely
stimulates all your senses. The owners were available to answer questions and were kind enough to give suggestions on places to visit on the Island. The only problem...we couldn't stay longer. Thanks Amy and Joe for renting your home to us!"
