  • This was a great find!

"This property is very nice!! We had a bit of difficulty finding it, but the owners were available on call to help us out. We were very pleasantly surprised once we got there. It is quiet, secluded, and nicely appointed yet reasonable. It is very close to the Volcanoes National Park. Thank you for a very memorable and fun visit!"

  • Extraordinary Jungle Home

"My wife and I stayed here for a couple of days while exploring Volcano National park and the southern part of the island. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place. Nestled away nicely in the jungle, we would find ourself amused just staying in the vastness of the vegetation. The house is pretty much a studio layout, but you didn't travel to Hawaii to stay in did you? Tucked just a couple minutes outside Volcano Village, where the eateries were superb. Also the Volcano Winery lies just outside of town, say hi to Sam for us. Couldn't have asked for a better place to start our Hawaii honeymoon!"

"Our stay at this La Capanna lodge was simply awesome. Our group consisted of 4 adults, 2 kids, and 2 babies. Donna was generous enough to let our big group stay at her lodge. Complete kitchen allowed us to cook 3 meals, large backyard allowed the children to run around, and the cozy fireplace kept us warm at night. Outside patio table and chairs was perfect for a little picnic-feel lunch. Very neatly kept and great location. It allowed us to just drive to the Jagger museum at night to see the lava. There was everything we needed (kitchen supplies, to towels, etc.) Donna was very responsive. We loved everything about this lodge. We did not want a house that was too big. Very cozy and at night, we could huddle around the fireplace and just have a nice family time. 10% off for returning guests! Yes, we will come again for sure!"

  • We loved the Rainforest Retreat!

"Our only issue is that our stay was too short and packed with so many things to do that we didn't have as much time to enjoy the beautiful grounds and the house as we would have liked. We appreciated the suggestions for things to do and LOVED the Kapoho tidal ponds. The bed was very comfortable. We will have to come back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!"
