  • Everything It Claimed To Be AND MORE!

"Great location for exploring Volcano National Park and the South end of the island. Beautifully furnished with lots of extras like flashlights, umbrellas, coolers etc. This place is fabulous for a couple but it worked great for our family too. My husband and I claimed the downstairs bedroom and our 4 college age kids shared the loft."

  • Wonderful cottage in an “enchanted fern forest”.

"The condo is roomy, comfortable, clean, and well-equipped in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The owner is very professional and helpful. Ideal location to visit Volcano NP and to explore the east coast. Do not miss the green Thai food truck right across highway 10. We would definitely stay there again."

  • Wonderful!

"Just got back from 7 wonderful nights at Lazy Lehua Cottage. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Like others have said. Great attention to detail and so many extras for the guests. We especially appreciated the beach equipment, towels, chairs and the cooler for packing a lunch. Having been landlords for many years and many properties we especially appreciate the continued maintenance that both the owner and the caretaker have put into this beautiful piece of paradise. While the location is a little drive to some places it was perfect for us as we dislike the tourist scene and crowds of people. It was well worth the drive to come home to a cozy, peaceful and private place. Also appreciated the info from the owner on the local area, very helpful and time saving. We would definitely stay again. Thank you Joyce for sharing your gem with travelers."

  • Fun Adventure in the Rainforest

"We stayed at Skye's 2nd treehouse in Volcano for 4 nights in August of 2014. The place is amazing! Skye was very helpful when we arrived. He met us and took us around, telling us all about the place. He gave recommendations of places to see and things to do on the island. It's certainly not a 5 star resort with all the amenities but it's a lot of fun and different than your traditional hotel. Everything you need is there. It's super quiet and you can watch the stars at night from your bed or hear the rain fall. My daughter, age 7, loved sleeping up in her loft space and thought it was so fun to stay in a treehouse! The path that lights up when you come up at night is amazing. It's very isolated but it's only about 5-10 minute drive to a few restaurants, and the Volcano National Park. Great place to stay if you want to try something different!"

Volcano Travel Tips

Discover Dramatic Landscapes During Your Stay at Volcano Vacation Rentals

If you like nature's amazing displays, Volcano vacation rentals will provide just enough balance between the world's most active volcano, Kilauea, and the serenity of Volcano Village. Located five minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, vacation rentals offer homes with multiple rooms and home-like amenities. The park is a World Heritage Site and an International Biosphere Reserve, offering you the chance to explore volcanic areas like the Thurston Lava Tube. At Halema'uma'u Crater you can see an ash plume, and on the Big Island, you can watch lava erupt and flow into the sea or spend an afternoon hiking the highland rainforest.

Get More With Volcano Vacation Houses

There are many ways in which volcano vacation houses offer you more than you get at a hotel. You get privacy, more space, a furnished house, and a fully equipped kitchen. Some properties offer luxury features like forest-side spas and outdoor showers. Enjoy a hot cup of Hawaiian coffee and fresh tropical fruit in the lanai before heading out for a day of fun. Located on the Big Island of Hawaii, Volcano Village is an area surrounded by volcano mist, orchids, and tree ferns. If you want to learn about the lush vegetation, you'll find the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden 30 minutes away.

Explore Hawaii From Puna District Beach Rentals

While the volcano is a popular attraction, Puna District beach rentals place you near other attractions and activities. Enjoy a location just steps away from the water. Spend a day snorkeling in the Waiopae Tide Pool. If you want to watch lava pour into the ocean but you prefer to stay away from the summit of Kilauea, consider a boat tour. You'll enjoy swaying on the waves of the Pacific Ocean while watching something you won't see at home, and you might see dolphins or whales.
