  • Perfect Perfect Perfect!!!

"I really don't think words or pictures can really describe the sheer awesomeness of this house & location. We stayed for 5 nights here during our HI vacation & we could have stayed so much longer here before we headed over to Kona side. The owners have thought of and have provided everything you need for your perfect stay (except for food & car of course). Directions, book of ideas/sites (much appreciated!!), beach supplies, bikes, etc etc....also the beds in this house were the most comfortable we have stayed in during our vacation (3 different houses). We went to the Orchid Farm, Volcano NP twice (park is about 5 min away for great night glows & stargazing!), Punaluu Beach, Richardson Beach, South Puna tidepools, lava fields, warm ponds, ziplined in Honomu, Akaka Falls, Rainbow Falls, Boiling pots, Mauna Loa, there is also a great little coffee house couple of streets down you can ride bikes to, & after all the site seeing we still had plenty of hangout time enjoying the serenity & beauty of this house, not to mention great DVD selection! I highly recommend staying in Volcano when you visit the big island, you will not be disappointed! The weather was great, everything is close enough driving distance, & it is all scenic driving!!"

  • Tidepools in Puna

"My family and I arrived to this clean bungalow with fresh flowers on the lanai. The keys were in the lockbox and the best advice was to always put them right back in the lockbox in case we were to get locked out. The first thing that happened was a friend closed the door without realizing it was locked but it didn't matter because the keys were right in the box. Most days we walked to the tide pools and snorkeled. So beautiful and the fish were amazing. The drive along the Red Road to Kaimu Black Beach is super cool. We visited quite a few farmer's markets and hit the super market and fish market almost daily to stock up on food. It was great to be able to eat in everyday. The drive to Kona on Saddle Road took 2 hours and was definitely worth the trip. The location of this house was great because we definitely felt like we were on the side of the island that was more tropical, quiet and unique. My most favorite spot was the front lanai. We sat there every morning and then as much as possible."

  • Terrific view and swimming pond terrific

"Waking up to surf sounds and palm trees and swimming in the lovely pond on the property was a real treat! The property would be good for two couples-it was just the two of us. The kitchen had what we needed to prepare food and spices. Walking distance to some amazing snorkeling and ocean access swimming. Not a lot of traffic and nights were quiet. Only room for improvement would have been air conditioning-it was very hot while we were there but it was higher than average temperatures. We greatly enjoyed our holiday there. It was a reasonable drive to Hilo, Volcano national Park, coffee mills and other sights of interest."

  • A Great Place to Stay

"This lovely house was comfortable, attractive, and convenient. Everything we needed was provided. We particularly appreciated the well-equipped kitchen as we cooked almost all our meals. Though there were only three of us, it would comfortably handle quite a few more. We enjoyed staying in the Volcano area as our main focus was the volcano and the National Park, though we did drive up the Kona coast to snorkle. We highly recommend the farmer's markets. Also there is a very good Thai restaurant in Volcano Village."
