"My husband and I stayed there for about a week in July. What can we say that hasn't been said- it is absolute paradise! The location is well away from tourists, and is breathtakingly beautiful. Every morning we had breakfast on the lanai overlooking the ocean, and dinner there as well. We loved being lulled to sleep by the sound of singing frogs and ocean waves crashing. The pool was very nice, and we looked forward to visits from the neighbour's dog- literally the sweetest dog- every day. We cannot wait to come back, and cannot thank Terry enough for sharing this wonderful house with us!"

"We had such a nice stay. Out of each window is a beautiful view of beautiful tropical plants or the ocean. You feel you are in seclusion however, there are houses are each side. We met one neighbor who was incredibly friendly and wanted to help us prepare the Bread Fruit that was growing in the front yard. However, we were leaving that day. My 9 year old son would now like to tell you about the pond. I think it is good for snorkeling because there are lots of fish and frogs and you can see the frogs swim. The pond was also lava heated so it is very warm and you can open your eyes underwater and not get hurt! I am back- we also enjoyed snorkeling in Champagne pond- it is easy to get and out and good for young and old who afraid of snorkeling."

"My husband and I and our 2 boys (11 & 14) stayed here for 3 nights. It was a beautiful, large home and property, and we loved the private pool! The home was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. It is about a 30 minute drive to the volcano, waterfalls around Hilo and the tide pools. We had a nice dinner in nearby Pahoa. The home is in a rural neighborhood and secluded.
Unfortunately, it was in the mid to upper 80's during our stay, and with no air conditioning, it got very hot. The temperatures didn't cool off much at night either. I would have liked to spend more time relaxing at the home, but we felt like we needed to be somewhere cooler during the day. And as soon as it gets dark, there are the frogs. I understand this is an invasive species that is very hard to get rid of. However, they are very loud, especially when you have to sleep with the windows open to cool down the house. My husband and 1 son did just fine. Myself and other son are light sleepers and had a difficult time sleeping."
