  • Snorkeller's Dream! Great spot to explore this less-developed side of the island!

"We absolutely loved waking up to such great views! You can enjoy the tidepools from just about everywhere in the house, but of course the best part is swimming in them! The house is nicely finished, decorated, and supplied with everything you could need from kitchen stuff to beach towels to coolers and more. The layout is a little quirky with the exterior stair, but hey this is a vacation home in Hawaii; lots of things in Hawaii are outdoors because they CAN BE! We enjoyed being a little bit off the beaten path in such a beautiful area of the island, but having great access to Volcano, Pahoa, and Hilo."

  • A comfortable home-away-from-home

"Two couples and one child comfortably stayed here for one week in June 2014. The property is beautiful, private, and very clean. We enjoyed eating many meals out on the spacious deck and used the grill several times. In the evening we would sit out on the deck, look at all the bright stars, and it was amazing. The frogs sang us to sleep each night, and because it was so private, we never heard any cars. There were flowering bushes on the property that smelled wonderful (Jasmine?) and the entire house was lightly scented with the perfume. We wished we were able to stay here longer; it was our favorite of the three places we stayed."

  • Great stay in Kehena, HI

"We enjoyed our stay at the three bedroom house in Kehena. It was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed to make our stay pleasant. We were located close to the ocean and enjoyed the day trips to several beach areas. The volcano park was about 30 minutes away and definitey worth the trip to see the sights there. It was off the beaten path which was just what we wanted. There was a grocery store about 20 minutes away which had everything we needed. Would recommend this rental to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in a rural part of the Big Island of Hawaii. A great value!!"
