  • We loved this place

"We will stay there again. Great views from a cozy environment with a beautifully open floor plan. It was well situated for access to both ends of the island and perfect for rain or sun. Seating nooks are well placed to enjoy all facets of the property. Lots of ceiling fans and a constant ocean breeze through screened windows/doors kept me quite comfortable in spite of my heat sensitivities. It really does have a very private feel. Even though you can see the cabin and house from the driveway, there is a good distance and all the main living areas (dining/living/bedroom/kitchen) open up to the other side otherwise known as the ocean and greenery. It was even better than we expected from photos they provide, particularly when you wake up to an amazing sunrise view from bed. Good coffee grinder, good blender, good selection of cooking implements, old washer/dryer worked fine, funky mystery light switches everywhere, a boombox with a small cd collection, some books including relatively recent guide books, misc beach supplies. Really, we were able to locate everything we tried to find and then some."

  • You have no idea...

" wonderful this property is. We're not easily impressed. We've stayed at all the major Hawaii resorts - Four Seasons, Fairmont, Princeville, etc. We've traveled the world and enjoyed rental properties from Whistler to Tuscany. We've never had a vacation like this. You can tell a lot about a property's owners by the arrival experience. After a 4 hour delay on an inbound aircraft, I'd figured Joe and Beth might not be around at the time we'd proposed. Upon arrival in LIH they'd sent the first text message to me and letting me know that they'd be waiting for us even though we were running late. Not only were they at the house when we arrived, Joe helped me bring in all the luggage (2 cars, 10 people) and Beth was showing my wife around the property - they stayed for almost an hour answering all our questions and making sure we were comfortable. They went out of their way to make sure our arrival was not only smooth, but 100% worry-free. During the stay, Joe and Beth were never more than a text away, helping me figure out little details about the house, or recommending a local hike or lunch spot. We really didn't need much support, and frankly we didn't really end up leaving the house much. When you've got such a beautiful location with what's basically your own private beach and acres of resort-quality grounds, why leave? Sure, we did a few hikes, but we spent countless hours playing soccer in the huge manicured yard, or lounging in the hammock, or snorkeling in front of the house. Every night we enjoyed (yes, enjoyed!) cooking in the ridiculously nice kitchen or on the massive grill, while the kids chased each other and then we sat down for a 10-person dinner at the beautiful table. The house was perfect for kids (we had 5 of them ages 2-10) and i don't think I ever heard one say that they were bored. Probably the best testament of all - I'm not sure the TV was on for more than a few hours over the entire week - including the Super Bowl... To close, it's been a month or two since our trip, and I still find myself thinking back to those days on the massive porch, enjoying the sunset, watching the kids enjoy the hot tub while I tend the grill, and I can honestly say with out a single doubt, this was the best vacation we've had in our entire lives. We'll be back for sure. You'd be hard pressed to find a better property in all the islands, and I challenge you not to have the time of your lives here. Thank you Joe & Beth!"

"The property was perfect for our families. I brought my adult children, my sister brought her son and daughter-in-law, we had other friends joins us for a night or six. There was plenty of room! The house is a nice size and it is well kept. We thought it was perfect for us!"

  • Absolutley Amazing

"This beach house was the perfect place to celebrate our 30th anniversary! Waking up to a beautiful sunrise each morning from the comfortable bed and having coffee on the lanai, what a way to start the day! We really enjoyed the morning walks on the beach and just spending time listening to the roar of the waves. It almost felt like we were at our own private beach. The location was great for exploring any part of the island. The beach house was well stocked with everything we needed. The beach chairs, snorkeling equipment and coolers really came in handy. We found that food prices were more reasonable at Lihue where the Wal Mart is located. We explored Kauai by hiking, car, photo tour, boat, and helicopter and all were just amazing! Recommend any couple that is looking to get away from it all to check this place out!"

Anahola Travel Tips

Enjoy Hawaii With Anahola Vacation Rentals

Anahola vacation rentals provide the perfect setting for those who want to experience what Hawaii felt like before resorts dotted the shores of the state. The quiet location of Anahola is the gateway to the North Shore of Kauai. Nestled between the sparkling blue water of the Pacific Ocean and the towering ranges of the Kalalea Mountains, Anahola offers miles of white sandy beaches. The beauty of the area has even attracted Hollywood, with films like South Pacific, Seven Days and Seven Nights, and Raider's of the Lost Ark utilizing the scenery.

Play and Stay at Anahola Beach Rentals

As a predominantly residential area, Anahola beach rentals put you within walking distance of the water. While people who stay at resorts have to contend with crowds, the only thing you'll need to worry about is where to set up your beach chair. The protected coral reef makes the water a safe area for children, and you can spend the day collecting shells, building sandcastles, swimming, or sunbathing. Take advantage of fully equipped kitchens to pack a picnic. If you like to fish, the area offers deep-sea fishing expeditions.

Kauai Travel Lets You Tour Paradise

Kauai travel opportunities let you pick the way you prefer to explore the natural beauty of the garden island. You can walk, bike, hike, or take a horseback ride on mountain trails. Touring the Waliua River will bring you to the Secret Falls, a great place for photos. If you want to explore the area from the ocean, you can kayak, sail, or surf. Helicopter aerial tours are also available. After spending the day having fun, head into town for a burger at Duane's Ono Burger or get one of Auntie Angelina's famous Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massages.
