  • Beautiful and Comfortable

"We very much enjoyed our stay in this cottage. It was very spacious. We loved having our own large front yard with a view. There's a hammock in the shade, which was a great nap experience! Multiple dining tables outside so we could enjoy the view over breakfast. All furniture was comfortable. The layout of the unit is very private. In fact, it is the most private stay we've had on the island, which gives it even more the feeling that it's your own home for the stay. Giving it a 4 star not because it didn't feel like a 5 star stay. If you are the kind of person that likes only the newest appliances, a dishwasher, granite counter tops, and a/c, this isn't exactly what you're looking for. If you don't need those things, it doesn't get much better than this! Also, a shout out to Sissy, the beautiful dog that visited every morning and evening. She is the sweetest dog with a whole lot of love to share. Loved having her visits."

  • Awesome Stay in Tropical Heaven

"This house is perfect and provides all anyone would ever want on their island vacation. The owners are excellent hosts and provided for our every need. Amazing 180 degree view including an occasional cruise ship sailing by. Rarely saw anyone on the 1/2 mile of private beach in front of the property and spent several of our two weeks vacation sitting and swimming on the beach. We would highly recommend this property to anyone thinking about a vacation on Kauai and you cannot beat the price for all that is included. We just cannot say enough great things about this property, truly a great experience!!"

  • Fabulous Beach House For A Group Vacation

"Our group of six had a great time at this property, and all agreed that, in all our many trips to Kauai (for some spanning over 30 years), it was our favorite accommodation. With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, I think the property works best for a group of between five and eight. The pictures do not capture how stunningly beautiful the view of the beach is from the large dining table, living room and deck – all are great gathering places and, at this time of year, also wonderful for whale viewing. The kitchen has all you need to prepare group meals, and there is a barbecue on the deck for preparing the usually available local fresh fish (best place for fish continues to be the Fish Express in Lihue). As with many (most) beach houses, upkeep and fix-it availability are key issues when considering a rental. Roger Lasky, who has been the caretaker for this property for the past seven years, lives within ten minutes of the property and was very responsive and capable in assisting us with minor fix-up details. He’s a great guy and also a good source of information about local resources and things to do. Anahola Beach where the property is a half-a-mile sandy beach on a nice bay that, depending on conditions, can be good for swimming, boogie-boarding, kayaking, paddle boarding or other water activities. The houses along the beach appear to be equally occupied by residents and vacation renters. We found people to be friendly, and the remarkable little beach dog, Sardine, who lives next door, the friendliest of all (Sardine of Anahola has a well-deserved local rep for being friendly & has her own Facebook page). Away from the beach, the rest of the small town is working-class residents. For provisioning or restaurants, you should probably plan on making the 5-10 minute drive into Kapaa. Many thanks again to the owner and Mr. Lasky for a great vacation experience."

  • Looking for Privacy, Romance and Fantastic Ocean Front Views? Look No Further.

"This cottage is not about luxury, it is about comfort, relaxation and a very reasonable rate. The house is very clean and stocked with everything you'll need and more. Snorkeling, swimming, spear fishing, paddle boarding and beach combing are excellent here and just steps away. Very little effort is needed to negotiate the sea wall to access beach. We spent our first week in my time share and explored the island everyday. However, once we arrived at the cottage we only left twice to get fresh food. I was planning to propose to my love mid-week but was so inspired by the feeling I got 30 minutes into our stay I pulled out the ring and dropped to a knee. She had little option but to say yes as she had the same feeling. Mahalo Nui Loa for making this our most romantic and best Kauai vacation ever! We'll definitely stay here again."

Anahola Travel Tips

Enjoy Hawaii With Anahola Vacation Rentals

Anahola vacation rentals provide the perfect setting for those who want to experience what Hawaii felt like before resorts dotted the shores of the state. The quiet location of Anahola is the gateway to the North Shore of Kauai. Nestled between the sparkling blue water of the Pacific Ocean and the towering ranges of the Kalalea Mountains, Anahola offers miles of white sandy beaches. The beauty of the area has even attracted Hollywood, with films like South Pacific, Seven Days and Seven Nights, and Raider's of the Lost Ark utilizing the scenery.

Play and Stay at Anahola Beach Rentals

As a predominantly residential area, Anahola beach rentals put you within walking distance of the water. While people who stay at resorts have to contend with crowds, the only thing you'll need to worry about is where to set up your beach chair. The protected coral reef makes the water a safe area for children, and you can spend the day collecting shells, building sandcastles, swimming, or sunbathing. Take advantage of fully equipped kitchens to pack a picnic. If you like to fish, the area offers deep-sea fishing expeditions.

Kauai Travel Lets You Tour Paradise

Kauai travel opportunities let you pick the way you prefer to explore the natural beauty of the garden island. You can walk, bike, hike, or take a horseback ride on mountain trails. Touring the Waliua River will bring you to the Secret Falls, a great place for photos. If you want to explore the area from the ocean, you can kayak, sail, or surf. Helicopter aerial tours are also available. After spending the day having fun, head into town for a burger at Duane's Ono Burger or get one of Auntie Angelina's famous Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massages.
