"First time in Kauai and the process of booking this unit from start to finish was seamless. The instructions from Mark on how and where to find the unit were perfect along with a very easy check-in process. This is a centrally located unit on the island. So if you can't figure out whether to stay in the north or south, this may be the way to go to launch your adventure. You can hear the ocean while your sleeping from here and sit out on the Lanai and enjoy your morning coffer or dinner with the sound of waves crashing. There is an area surrounded by rocks that essentially turn the ocean into a kiddie pool for kids (or adults). The unit is as described and is what you see in the pictures. You will see and hear ocean from your lanai very easily and the landscaping there is amazing.
There is some snorkel gear which came in handy for Lydgate Park just a 3-min drive away where they have an even larger "kiddie pool" where you can see different kinds of fish along the rocks. It's a great place to snorkel if you may be worried about going in the ocean as it is protected so no getting pulled out to sea. Also, there is a farmer's market on Weds morning at Coconut Marketplace (5-min walk) to get some fresh veggies and fruit for your stay. That same marketplace has a small fish market where we got some Monchong caught that day we has as sashimi and some excellent Ahi Poke.
Some other added bonuses is you are a stones throw from the laundry room so you can pack light or get some much needed clothes washed while your eating dinner. Two grocery stores are a mile away (Safeway and Foodland) plus a general store in the Coconut Marketplace (it's undergoing renovations so don't be discouraged when visiting the shopping center). The shops of Kapaa are just a 5 minute drive away with several restaurants to choose from. You're about a 30-minute ride to Poipu or Princeville or Hanalei (don't miss out on Tunnels Beach though-40 mins).
Nearby you have Smith's for a Luau dinner (5 minute drive) or Fern Grotto tour. A very short 10-minute drive to Opaeka'a Falls or Kamokila Hawaiian Village (if Chef George of the Jungle food truck is parked there-get their food or shaved ice at once!)
You'll have plenty in your near vicinity to keep you entertained and busy, but the central location will give you the best of all the island has to offer while coming home to a nice peaceful, relaxing setting in a beautiful condo. I'd go 6-stars if VRBO would let me!"

"The condo was clean, really nice and well furnished. The bed was comfortable and plenty of linens and some beach towels. Kitchen was fully stocked with all you need and even had some spices. We added to their supply when we left because we had bought some too! The balcony was my favorite part. The view was amazing. Right near the beach and water. Hearing the waves crash put me right to sleep every night. There was no air conditioning but there was fans in every room so it didn't bother us at all! Very nice property and would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful place!"

"My wife an I booked Earl and Janet's unit #512 after doing extensive research on the several Condo complexes in the Kapaa area. We decided on the Lae Nani complex and this unit in particular and were absolutely pleased that it exceeded all our expectations. The condo is beautiful, from the furnishings to the immaculate grounds to the views. Very well stocked, the condo has just about everything you need to enjoy your stay. All the reviews here are absolutely accurate. All you need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy! We know where we're staying on our next trip to Kauai!"

"My husband, my sister, and I stayed at this property for 10 nights in October 2015. This was our third stay at Lae Nani, as the location can't be beat. This unit, on the second floor of building 3, was our favorite so far, with just about everything you could wish for. The apartment is super clean with beautiful bathrooms and nice furnishings -- very comfortable beds. The view from the lanai is awesome, and the Lae Nani grounds and gardens are really beautiful. Somehow management has figured out how to keep the roosters off the grounds, which is a great improvement since our last stay about 12 years ago. We enjoy swimming in the bay right in front of Lae Nani (sharing the water with 3-4 sea turtles late one afternoon!) and there's a big lava rock enclosure which keeps little ones safe from the larger waves. The beach to the north of the property is great for long surf-side walks. Proximity to Kapaa, with its shopping and restaurants is nice, and the mid-point location between the north- and south-island destinations is ideal. Owner Suzanne responded promptly to all our email inquiries, and was kindly able to accommodate our request for a half-day rental for a late evening flight home. We had a terrific vacation, and would definitely look into this same rental for our next trip -- hopefully sooner than 12 years!"
