  • Spectacular Beachfront condo

"We were thrilled when we walked through the front door and saw the view of the beach off the Lanai. It was truly spectacular. The condominium is really stocked well, just like home, with everything you need for a great vacation on the beach. We had a cooler to keep our food cool, some snorkel gear and a couple of boogie boards. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The condo is very conveniently located, near the airport, Costco, Safeway, all within in a short drive. It was also easy to get all over the rest of the island. We visited the Waimea Canyon and West Shore going to the end of the road at the Pu'u o Kila Lookout. from there we hiked the Alaka'i Swamp Trail. This was a very unique hike having raised platforms to walk on through the swamp. It had amazing views. We also visited Hanapepe on the West. On the North was Ke'e and Tunnels beaches. We hiked on the Kalalau trail up Hanakapia'ai Falls. Spectacular views on the hike also. Near the condo we hiked Sleeping Giant which gives you great 360 panoramic views of the Kapaa area. Poipu beach was wonderful in the south. Too many things to do, not enough time! We stayed one week but have so much more we would like to see on Kauai. We will definitely go back and stay at the same Kahl Lani 223, so beautiful."

  • Nice Condo Great Location!

"First time in Kauai and the process of booking this unit from start to finish was seamless. The instructions from Mark on how and where to find the unit were perfect along with a very easy check-in process. This is a centrally located unit on the island. So if you can't figure out whether to stay in the north or south, this may be the way to go to launch your adventure. You can hear the ocean while your sleeping from here and sit out on the Lanai and enjoy your morning coffer or dinner with the sound of waves crashing. There is an area surrounded by rocks that essentially turn the ocean into a kiddie pool for kids (or adults). The unit is as described and is what you see in the pictures. You will see and hear ocean from your lanai very easily and the landscaping there is amazing. There is some snorkel gear which came in handy for Lydgate Park just a 3-min drive away where they have an even larger "kiddie pool" where you can see different kinds of fish along the rocks. It's a great place to snorkel if you may be worried about going in the ocean as it is protected so no getting pulled out to sea. Also, there is a farmer's market on Weds morning at Coconut Marketplace (5-min walk) to get some fresh veggies and fruit for your stay. That same marketplace has a small fish market where we got some Monchong caught that day we has as sashimi and some excellent Ahi Poke. Some other added bonuses is you are a stones throw from the laundry room so you can pack light or get some much needed clothes washed while your eating dinner. Two grocery stores are a mile away (Safeway and Foodland) plus a general store in the Coconut Marketplace (it's undergoing renovations so don't be discouraged when visiting the shopping center). The shops of Kapaa are just a 5 minute drive away with several restaurants to choose from. You're about a 30-minute ride to Poipu or Princeville or Hanalei (don't miss out on Tunnels Beach though-40 mins). Nearby you have Smith's for a Luau dinner (5 minute drive) or Fern Grotto tour. A very short 10-minute drive to Opaeka'a Falls or Kamokila Hawaiian Village (if Chef George of the Jungle food truck is parked there-get their food or shaved ice at once!) You'll have plenty in your near vicinity to keep you entertained and busy, but the central location will give you the best of all the island has to offer while coming home to a nice peaceful, relaxing setting in a beautiful condo. I'd go 6-stars if VRBO would let me!"

  • Bring on the romance of Kaua'i at this amazing location

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in this wonderful condo, knowing we were splurging a bit on a luxury property. It was so worth it. This condo, the lovely interior and the excellent location made our entire vacation. What a wonderful introduction to Hawaii. We visited many of the beaches all around the island and actually enjoyed "ours" the best. Secluded beach, shared with swimming turtles, though public, had minimal people and is just steps from the condo with an unmatched view. I still miss waking every morning to coffee at sunrise on the lanai. Close to the best restaurants on the island (in our opinion) and to shopping without feeling crowded or urban. We would definitely stay here again...and again. Folks considering staying here should know there is not air conditioning, though multiple fans are provided. The ocean air is muggy and the condo is quite warm at night. The fans move the air, but do not provide much cooling, so if you're uncomfortable with hot, humid weather, you might not be happy with the lack of air conditioning. But once you open the sliding glass door to the giant lanai and hear the ocean waves hitting the shore, you'll forget about everything else."

  • Lovely condo at Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii

"This condo has the best location at the Lei Nani resort, with great views, close to the pool and cool cross ventilation. It is beautifully furnished, with everything one needs, including a wonderful mattress on the bed in the BR. Close to markets and restaurants, and right on the beach. We would be happy to return to it when returning to Kauai."
