  • Outstanding Stay

"My wife and I wanted a special vacation for our 25th anniversary, but it had to accommodate our grown daughter also. We researched countless rentals and decided on Lenore's. We can't say enough about the condo. We have rented two other condos in Hawaii prior to this trip and this one is the best. The place is clean, up to date and the location is perfect. You are steps away from sand, ground level, corner unit in the closest building to the beach. The landscaping near her lanai is situated to give you great privacy, yet still open to great ocean views. The grounds around the condo are impressive. The pool and BBQ equipment are all top notch. The beach out front looked safe for youngsters. I am in the plumbing biz so I know the bathrooms have above average, quality, up to date fixtures. Due to its central location it was easy to get to any of the major Kauai attractions on any side of the island. You are in between everything. And close to some. Also, the bed in the master was extremely comfortable. Always a problem for me when I travel, but I slept like a baby all week long. This was our first time to Kauai, the island is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. The condo was the perfect compliment. Highly recommend this property for your stay on Kauai. We will definitely be back!"

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an incredible experience staying at this beautiful rental in Kauai. The house, deck and pool are pristine. The location is ideal! (We highly recommend the sticky buns at the bakery across the street!) We loved swimming with the turtles in the cove. It exceeded our expectations!! Highly recommend this rental!"

  • Absolutely the best!

"Aloha! What more can we say about this place that has not already been said? We spent 9 days here for our honeymoon. It was our first time in Hawaii and we were not disappointed. The condo itself is absolutely fantastic. It sleeps four, but is also very comfortable for just two. It has almost everything you need to have a fantastic time in Kauai. Things we really loved about the condo: - It is centrally located. Whether you're visiting Polihale State Park on the South West shore, or the Kalalau Trail in the North West, or somewhere in between, you will find it easy to get where you want to go. We visited all over the island, and we never felt we were driving for long. - The view of Wailua Bay from the lanai (balcony) is stunning, and has to be one of the best on the island. We found that relaxing on the lanai was the perfect way to start and end our days. We miss the calming ocean sounds already. - The condo is well-stocked with things you will find useful like beach towels, beach mats, a boogie-board, soap, shampoo etc.. Also kitchen staples like salt, pepper, sugar, flour, butter, oil, pancake mix etc. We used a few things and left some for future guests too. - The condo complex is absolutely beautiful. It’s very quiet, there is a super clean pool and very nice landscaping. You are just steps from Wailua Beach, which is a beautiful and mostly secluded beach you can use for walking, sunbathing, swimming, surfing, boogie-boarding etc. - Just across the road is the Passion Bakery (yum!) and many other excellent restaurants, souvenir shops etc. are within a very short walk. You are just a couple of minutes drive from Safeway for groceries. Costco, Walmart, Kmart etc are a 15-20 minute drive south in Lihue. Things we really loved about our trip to Kauai (due to the 2,500 character restriction on VRBO we couldn’t post our whole review, so here is just a list of the things we did): East Shore - Lydgate State Park, Sleeping Giant Hike, Wailua Falls Lookout, Hike to Ho’opi’i Falls, Bike Rental at Kauai Bike Rentals, Verde Restaurant North Shore - Kalalau Trail, Ke’e Beach, Queens Bath, Secret Beach & Lava Pools South Shore - Waimea Canyon, Polihale State Park, Poipu Beach, Spouting Horn, Island Taco, Kauai Coffee Plantation Just when we thought this trip couldn't get any better, Shayne, gave us a very late checkout to accommodate our 10pm outbound flight. This trip was amazing and we can't wait to return! Mahalo!"

  • Third time and still charming....

"This was our third time staying here and it was just as lovely as always! We love the screened-in lanai the most: a perfect place for relaxing and enjoying the sights and sounds of Kauai. The central location is just a short drive to shopping, restaurants, and beaches, but the upcountry location allows for privacy and a feeling of getting away from it all. Either side of the island is easy to get to. The cottage is set up with everything that one needs while there. This is an amazing place to stay, and anyone who does won't regret it!"

Wailua Homesteads Travel Tips

Let Wailua Homesteads Vacation Homes Amaze You

Found on the northwestern edge of the region, the island of Kauai is Hawaii’s oldest major island. It is known as the Garden Island for its lush greenery, tropical plants, and abundant rainfall. Nestled into the heart of this tropical paradise, you will find Wailua Homesteads vacation homes. Wailua vacation rentals are the ideal choices for anyone seeking an escape from modern day stresses.

Wailua Vacation Rentals Offer Natural Beauty

The island of Kauai has plenty to offer anyone interested in the beautiful outdoors. Any Kauai lodging is tucked within the incomparable landscapes and offers a glimpse at the true beauty of Hawaii. From such natural wonders as the Na Pali Coast to the Waimea Canyon, you are sure to have your breath taken away. Because it is the oldest island, it has been changed the most by nature, making it seem that Wailua Homesteads vacation homes really are set in a separate kingdom.

Laid-back Kauai Lodging

Historically speaking, Kauai lodging is located on the island where the Hawaiian sugar cane industry was born. It was once the leading industry on the island which has recently been replaced by tourism since the land is so beautiful. However, do not let the tourism sway you; Wailua vacation rentals are found on a smaller, less populated Hawaiian island. This means that the atmosphere is more laid-back and relaxed than Oahu, Maui, or the Big Island. You can explore the beaches and natural wonders without having to deal with droves of tourists.

Wonderful Waterfalls near Wailua Homesteads Vacation Homes

One thing not to miss during your stay in Wailua vacation rentals is Ma’alo Road in East Kauai. This is a majestic 80-foot waterfall situated quite close to many Kauai lodging locations and can even be seen from the road. You may recognize it from the television show “Fantasy Island” but the beauty is something to behold. Remember, the falls can change in appearance based on the time of day, rain, or the river’s flow. It is ideal to leave your Wailua Homestead vacation homes early in the morning to see the falls in their full glory. And do not forget your bathing suit; you can take a swim in the cool, mountain water at the base.
