"My husband, brother and I stayed here for 9 days. The cottage is 1-bedroom, but has a large screened lanai which can serve as an extra room or second bedroom (Rick provided an air mattress and linens, in addition to the comfortable and plush king bed in the master bedroom). With the windows and screen doors open, the cottage is like one big lanai. The cottage includes several guidebooks and field guides, plenty of space for relaxing. We spent our days exploring the island, and this cottage's central location was a great for that. We were also off the beaten path, in a rural area near some farms, but about 5 minutes drive from the nearest store and 10 minutes from Kapa'a town. The sound of chickens (hens *and* roosters) is ever-present, so if you are a light sleeper you can either bring earplugs or close the windows. We were able to cook all our dinners and breakfasts in the cottage. Area farmers markets, food trucks, and roadside stands kept us well supplied with local fruits, fish, goat cheese, taro bread, local coffee ... you name it. Check out the website kauaimusicscene for live music events all over the island. And be sure to visit the best "townie bar" of all time: the Pau Hana Bar & Grill, near the Safeway in Kapa'a."Guest: redsavina Date of Stay: April 2013 Review Submitted: May 13, 2013View listing
"We just returned from 14 days in this beautiful condo. Our visit was June 10-24, 2014. Everything was exactly as advertised. The condo was clean and stocked to help us get started. There was plenty of room for our family of four. We love the convenient location between the southern side of the island and the north. This made all of our excursions and easy drive. The Coconut Marketplace is about a 3 minute walk and is a great place for grabbing a quick bite to eat and shopping. If you are staying for a long time making a trip to Costco in Lihue is a must for all your essentials. There is a farmers market in the parking lot at the Coconut Marketplace on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. This was a perfect time for us to stock up on all of the yummy fruits and vegetables Kauai has to offer. The cultural center is the marketplace is also a fun place to learn or watch hula or make your own lei. The condo itself is just steps from the sand. The beach is a great place for hanging out and swimming. The property is managed well. The pool is crystal clear. The barbecues were great and we used them many times. I would recommend this place to anyone who want to have a stress free place to vacation and relax on Kauai. We simply cannot wait to go back!"Guest: Kelly H. "Having rented numerous Kauai condos over the past two decades, my wife and I decided that this condo was our all-time favorite. It is located on the Lae Nani property, our favorite property in the Wailua area because of its beautiful landscaping and semi-private beach accessibility. We usually book in the Wailua area because it gives us more flexibility to explore both ends of the Island (Poipu/Waimea and Hanalei/Princeville). The owners have furnished this unit beautifully, it has a great view and nice breezes from its third-floor location, and has all the kitchen and living room supplies you would want if this were your second home. We had a delightful two-wek stay and the owners were a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend without qualification."Guest: Gordon Date of Stay: June 2013 Review Submitted: July 19, 2013View listing
"My wife and I based our entire 10 day, 11 night vacation on Kauai from this room and it was wonderful. The island and all the activities were great and the room offers a central island location where both the north shore and Waimea Canyon are within easy commuting distance. Kayaking on the Wailua River and hiking to the Secret Waterfall tour originates just across the street. There are bakeries and tasty restaurants within walking distance, the pool is very refreshing and the oceanfront views from the patio balcony are fantastic. The room is modern with all amenities and was well stocked with condiments. We look forward to returning and staying here again sometime soon."Guest: Ed & Lisa Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 6, 2014View listing

Build a sandcastle or wait for low tide when you can explore the shallow pools filled with aquatic treasures. If you like to surf, grab your board. You can enjoy kite boarding, wake boarding, and wind surfing, too. When you finish playing, head back to your beach rental in Wailua and rinse off. Toss your wet swimsuits and towels in the dryer while you enjoy watching TV in the furnished living room.
Kauai Travel Takes You to Paradise
Kauai travel opportunities let you enjoy the garden island. If you like archeological sites, plan a trip to one of the nearby heiau. Whales, dolphins, and sea turtles like to swim though the waters, and the crystal-clear water is great for snorkeling. With vacation rentals in Wailua, you can also enjoy aerial tours and outdoor expeditions.
