"My husband and I just came back from 10 days in Craig and Shari's oceanfront condo on beautiful Kauai. We feel very fortunate to have located such an amazing place for a home base. To begin with, Craig and Shari are awesome people and very easy to work with. (Thank you!) Once you arrive, the first thing you will notice is that the resort is off the main highway yet easily accessible. The property is gated so parking is never a problem and the landscaping is impeccable. The interior of this unit is very nicely updated and was spotless when we arrived. If you like to eat in, the kitchen is well-stocked with all the utensils, dinnerware and cookware you could possibly need. We loved the king bed; very roomy and comfortable. The view of the waves from the lanai is lovely. If you've never been to Kauai and want to explore, the east shore where this property is located is a great place. Day trips to the north, south and west shores are easy. Be prepared for traffic at times. Kauai has only one main highway and it can get clogged in some places, but you're not there to speed around anyway. Relax and take it easy. You'll get where you're going all in good time. Also, remember that the beach in front of the property is not a private beach even though the resort is gated. There is public access via a nearby sidewalk but, in the entire 10 days we were there, we didn't observe a single rowdy or inappropriate person or group (and this was despite the fact we were there on the Fourth of July). Usually only a few families or couples who were not guests at the resort used the beach at one time. Also, there is cable television and unsecured Wi-Fi available but remember that you are in a remote location. Connections/service can be spotty. Just roll with it. You should be out and about exploring the island anyway! If you like snorkeling, we recommend nearby Lydgate Beach (great for beginners) and Anini Beach or Tunnels (intermediate spots to the north). Tunnels is a snorkeler's nirvana, by the way. Jaw-dropping. The whole island is just an amazing place for the vacation you've always dreamed of; and Craig and Shari's unit is the perfect place to call home while you're there."Guest: Laurie Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 12, 2014View listing
"This was by far the best family vacation on the islands we've had. The condo is perfectly located for easy access to the island sights and has a breathtaking view. The owner has gone above and beyond to make this a home away from home. Even two Hurricanes and an earthquak didn't put a dull on this condo's shine. I have already recommended this place to everyone for a Perfect family vacation. Thanks for the memories."Guest: The Dave Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 16, 2014View listing
"It was wonderful. From the upper deck where I could enjoy the outdoors and the rain, to the river across the street it was wonderful! It was comfortable, cozy and just what I was looking for in a vacation. A place to release stress and rest. Close to the beach and less than 5 minutes from shopping, restaurants, places to visit. A temple up the hill was also one of my stops for meditation and reflection. In all, a great vacation!"Guest: Sandy Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 18, 2014View listing
"Our party of 3 adults had the pleasure of staying at this home for a week. I only wish I could have stayed longer. The house is immaculate and open and airy. You will not have to worry about air conditioning. I personally loved having my morning coffee on the lanai overlooking the valley and mountains. You can hear the sound of the river down below, very relaxing. It's located uphill from Kapa'a (the closest town) and is well situated to the airport and to explore both the North Shore and the South Shore. We did the whole island. Love Kauai! Love this place and hope to return again. FYI, we left Kauai at 75 degrees on Jan 4th and got back to Illlinois the next day where it was -15 degrees due to the Polar Vortex that affected much of the country. Talk about shock!"Guest: Maddie B. Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 10, 2014View listing
