"I don't typically write reviews for anything, but felt compelled to do so for this condo at Lae Nani. It was beautifully appointed, decorated, clean, and the owners were very thoughtful to have beach chairs, towels, and other amentities available. The grounds and beach were spectacular. Very convenient to washer/dryer. So easy to just walk out onto the grounds and enjoy the scenery. The orchids and other plantings were incredible. Loved the koi pond right off bedroom lanai and so soothing to fall asleep to the fountain w/the ocean waves in the background. Never slept better. Gaited community made you feel safe. Easy walk to shopping, eating, airport. We, too, saw the monk seal a short ways down the beach. Oh yea, forgot about the pool, just perfect. My only regret is that we had to leave but will definitely will be back one day, this time longer!!"Guest: Lisa K. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 21, 2014View listing
"My husband and I just came back from 10 days in Craig and Shari's oceanfront condo on beautiful Kauai. We feel very fortunate to have located such an amazing place for a home base. To begin with, Craig and Shari are awesome people and very easy to work with. (Thank you!) Once you arrive, the first thing you will notice is that the resort is off the main highway yet easily accessible. The property is gated so parking is never a problem and the landscaping is impeccable. The interior of this unit is very nicely updated and was spotless when we arrived. If you like to eat in, the kitchen is well-stocked with all the utensils, dinnerware and cookware you could possibly need. We loved the king bed; very roomy and comfortable. The view of the waves from the lanai is lovely. If you've never been to Kauai and want to explore, the east shore where this property is located is a great place. Day trips to the north, south and west shores are easy. Be prepared for traffic at times. Kauai has only one main highway and it can get clogged in some places, but you're not there to speed around anyway. Relax and take it easy. You'll get where you're going all in good time. Also, remember that the beach in front of the property is not a private beach even though the resort is gated. There is public access via a nearby sidewalk but, in the entire 10 days we were there, we didn't observe a single rowdy or inappropriate person or group (and this was despite the fact we were there on the Fourth of July). Usually only a few families or couples who were not guests at the resort used the beach at one time. Also, there is cable television and unsecured Wi-Fi available but remember that you are in a remote location. Connections/service can be spotty. Just roll with it. You should be out and about exploring the island anyway! If you like snorkeling, we recommend nearby Lydgate Beach (great for beginners) and Anini Beach or Tunnels (intermediate spots to the north). Tunnels is a snorkeler's nirvana, by the way. Jaw-dropping. The whole island is just an amazing place for the vacation you've always dreamed of; and Craig and Shari's unit is the perfect place to call home while you're there."Guest: Laurie Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 12, 2014View listing
"We had a lovely stay at this condo. We opted for the ground floor because of the kids and surfboards, etc. It was pretty perfect. The grounds were amazing and literally steps to the beach! We love the water and there wasn't really swimming at this beach. There was a big closed in area that was calm and great for little kids. As mine like the waves, we had to travel to the north and south shores daily. But the location of Lae Nani is right in the middle so it was not a bad drive either way. As for the condo itself, it is definitely older and could've been cleaner but the layout was great."Guest: Ryan R. Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 6, 2014View listing
"We stayed here for 10 nights. The location is PERFECT since you are literally steps from the ocean. I was a little leery about noise from the pool since it is right outside the front door, but there was minimal noise. In fact, Lae Nani is the quietest place I've ever stayed. The views from this condo were amazing. We spent so much time on the lanai just soaking it all in. The unit itself was clean. It feels a little bit dated, but honestly not too bad. The kitchen was fully stocked. There is only one very small t.v. in the family room and we never even turned it on. I was actually glad because who wants to sit and watch t.v. when you could be staring at the ocean instead?! There is a little t.v. in the MBR to catch up on the day's events ;) The grounds here are beautifully maintained and the groundskeepers take pride in their work. Security guards were out day and night. The pool area, while nothing fancy, was very nice. We spent a lot of time at the pool chatting with our upstairs neighbors and floating. All in all a wonderful vacation and we will be back!"Guest: Deb Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 11, 2014View listing
