  • THE BEST!!

"What an absolutely wonderful vacation condo! Pictures don't do justice to how clean, wonderfully decorated, and well equipped with everything you could need to make your stay a pleasure --- and the VIEW!! I could not imagine going back and staying any where else. There is a reason every review is 5 star, and in addition Gene and Mary Grace are such wonderful people to work with. The unit is located close to many dining options. Several of our favorites were the Hukilau Lanai, at the Kauai Coast Resort, about 5 min away, a little pricy but well worth it. In Lihue, 10 min away, is a great place for lunch, Gaylords Plantation. Good food plus an array of small boutique shops to browse in and in addition, right behind the restaurant in the same complex, is the Koloa Rum Company, which offers a short tour and tasting room. The condo is really centrally located to visit the whole island and the distances are not very great. No matter which part of the island you visit there are beautiful beaches and really great vistas. Some of our favorites were the Kilauea lighthouse and the drive up to the observation points at the top of Waimea Canyon."

  • 9 Days in Kapa'a

"The place was clean and comfortable. It made a nice middle ground for our many trips to both north shore and south shore. The cottage is in a nice quite neighborhood. Actually the quietness was surprising since the main highway was only two blocks away. The host, Larry, was a very nice guy and was willing to be as helpful as possible. Recommended and would stay here again."

  • Nice condo with an ocean view

"This Pono Kai ocean-view unit is nicely furnished and well kept. The kitchen is well equipped and the unit has a combo VCR/DVD player, wi-fi, two TVs, a stereo and an assortment of books and movies, perhaps left behind by previous guests. It sleeps 4 (two on a pull-out couch). There is a table and chairs and a chaise lounge on the lanai. Pono Kai is centrally located in Kapaa and within a short walking distance of restaurants and shops. There is a pool, tennis court, barbecues, shuffle board courts, etc. on the premises. There is a laundry room on each floor and an elevator. The grounds are kept very nicely, plenty of parking, and a beach path for walking or cycling."

  • Highly Recommended!

"The condo was clean, well maintained & tastefully decorated. My kids loved the pool & waterslides. Watched the sunrise each morning from the beach with a cup of joe. A great location for exploring Kauai - about halfway between Poipu & the North Shore. Even had a cooler & beach toys. An excellent VRBO experience."

From hiking in paradise to taking a whale-watching cruise, there are certainly plenty of options for exploring the unique natural beauty that is Kauai, all conveniently located near Kauai condos.

East Kauai Vacation Rentals Allow You to Get in Touch with Nature

Kauai condos provide you with the perfect opportunity to explore one of the most famous hiking trails in this region of the world, Kalalau Trail. Not intended for the faint of heart, this 11-mile trail will provide you with unparalleled views of the sea cliffs that comprise the coast. For an even more beautiful hike situated not far from Kauai lodging, consider taking the two-mile Ke'e Beach hike. After viewing exceptional coastline views, the trail will take you through ohia, kuki and bamboo tree groves before concluding at a cozy little beach nestled near a sea cave.

Kauai Condos to Relax in Seclusion

If you are looking for a quiet place to get away and enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle, East Kauai vacation rentals are also located near one of the most attractive and secluded beaches on the island. Ke'e Beach is considered to be at its best by many early in the morning, providing the opportunity to explore the reef located just offshore. You can also enjoy a calm lagoon and a host of different sea life, such as barracuda and turtles, if you feel up to snorkeling. Just make sure you leave your Kauai lodging early enough to beat the crowds.

Take a Whale-watching Cruise near Kauai Lodging

If you plan to time your vacation in Kauai condos during humpback whale season, which runs from December through April, then you will certainly be in for a treat. During this time, these gentle giants come specifically to the beaches of Kauai to give birth. Take a whale-watching cruise and enjoy the opportunity to view whales as close as 50 yards from your boat. Cruises depart not far from East Kauai vacation rentals.
