"My husband, my 1-year-old and myself stayed in Rick's hale for just over a week. We stayed in his larger accommodation, the one on the bottom floor, it fit us well, with my son sleeping on the couch. Rick was a great host, he was thoughtful, accommodating, incredibly knowledgable about the island and super quick to respond to my requests. The neighbourhood is beautiful and quiet. The property is gorgeous, all of the plants around you truly give you the feeling that you're in the jungle of Kauai--a magical place to be. The location is great too, far enough away from the highway, but close enough that restaurants, shopping and a beautiful beach are just a 10 minute drive away. It was a great location with a view of the mountains and waterfalls. The hale is clean, well-appointed and full of amenities. The bed is extremely comfortable and the kitchen had more than everything we needed. The satellite TV also came in handy, since we were rained in some afternoons and mornings. We will definitely check Rick's hale first when we come back to Kauai... There's no way we can stay away from Kauai."Guest: Cynthia K. "So happy that we chose this condo for our first trip to the island! It was spacious, extremely clean and well furnished. The complex is lovely and was perfect for families. Having two beds in the second bedroom saved arguments about our girls having to share a bed. Having a Safeway across the street was very convenient as well as a Starbucks and Longs Drug store. The location of the complex is about midway through the island so either end was easy to reach with a fairly short drive. The only drawback was that the condo is on the street side of the complex so leaving the windows open at night to sleep was not possible but wasn't a big problem. Loved our stay there and hope to return soon."Guest: Susan N. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 28, 2014View listing
"My husband and I stayed 9 nights in this condo. It was our 4th trip to Kauai, and this was by far our favorite place! The condo's location is perfect, and is very tastefully decorated and furnished. We had an amazing time. I can't imagine a better spot, waking up and enjoying coffee on the lanai, going jogging on the path right behind the condo, then grabbing a book and walking across the lawn the the beach! Lots of great places to eat nearby. Ono Family Restaurant was excellent! The pool is nice too, but we honestly never felt the urge to use it because the beach is so perfect there. Sunrises were beautiful and moonlight on the water was breathtaking. We found everything we needed in the unit, and made good use of the beach mats and towels. Thank you Kevin and Angela! We hope to stay in your condo again!"Guest: NikkiG Date of Stay: October 2013 Review Submitted: October 28, 2013View listing
"The condo is in an excellent location. Its steps away from the 5 mile paved path by the shore. You can enjoy great ocean breeze while getting your workout. It's also close to a lot of eating places. Some accessible right from the path by the shore. The condo is very nice - has cozy furniture and is tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped. You get great ocean breeze into the living room. It also has A/C if it gets too hot. We had great weather so we didn't need to use it. The resort grounds are kept impeccably. We would've preferred for this to be on the second floor but we didn't miss anything at all. It was just an awesome vacation. Our thanks to the owner."Guest: Sha Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 8, 2014View listing
