  • AMAZING ANNIVERSARY TRIP!

"Our stay at Lae Nani #124 was even more than we had expected! The photos posted are exactly what you will see...and even better. We had an amazing trip and the condo's location was convenient to travel anywhere on the island and close to restaurants and shops within walking distance. Although we didn't cook there, the condo had all the modern conveniences right at our fingertips. It was spotless, comfortable, and so relaxing to come back to after a day of sightseeing or at the beach. Have to admit, the no air-conditioning concerned us before arriving, but it was not a problem...the cool tropical breeze and ceiling fans were sufficient, especially since we were not there during the daytime. The grounds were very well kept, the pool was cool and sparkling and we even used the laundry facility which worked out great. The owners were great to work with and they were even gracious enough to extend us a late check-out to accommodate our late flight out. We would stay again at Lae Nani and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Kauai. Our only complaint is that our trip just wasn't long enough!"

  • We stayed 6 weeks and recommend this apartment

"We found our long term rental the old fashioned way: we found a location we liked, drove the road in the neighborhood, saw a vacation rental sign, called and were able to rent an apartment there for our entire stay. We couldn’t have been closer to the beach and the views and location were very special It cost (with negotiation) $4000 a month, including everything. It was a neighborhood on a street that dead-ended near our apartment where developers had not gotten involved. It was 1.4 miles from the main road (Hwy 56 or Kuhio Highway). We were 7.4 miles from Kapaa and generally the traffic was light until we got into town. There were three building units on a large, oceanfront property all owned by our landlady, Esther Medeiros. Our unit was two-story and our apartment was on the top floor. It was called Hibiscus Hale Lani (hibiscus under the sky). See the pictures of our Hibiscus Hale Lani on Essie’s other website. These were not luxurious properties; they were functional, perfectly situated and comfortable. Nice to hang out there! Our apartment was a one bedroom, one bath with two decks that ran the length of the apartment; one deck was on the ocean side and one on the garden side of the unit. Walking toward the ocean in the hallway there was an expansive ocean view provided by two large picture windows, with a sliding glass door in between. The room was a large rectangle with a kitchen and dining area on the left and on the right side: a sofa, an interesting mahogany and drift wood table that we used for a coffee table, and a flat screen TV on a TV table across from the sofa. We had cable TV and very good wi-fi in the apartment (our landlady, Essie, bought a new router for our apartment). Our kitchen had a refrigerator, a microwave, a blender, a toaster and a full 4-burner stove and oven. There were two sinks but no disposal or dishwasher. Audre could cook comfortably in this space and the kitchen was outfitted well enough. So she was happy. Dimitri got his beach house on the sand in a quiet, old-fashioned Hawaiian neighborhood (with good wi-fi and cable) so he was happy. Essie was a very good landlady. If ever there was a problem, we would e-mail her and she would fix it herself or send someone. She made sure that we were happy. Essie had a man come to spray for bugs and the apartment was fairly bug-free. We had geckos, of course. The sound of the waves at the shoreline on our Aliomanu Beach was a constant, calming sound."

  • Beautiful, elegant, even better than the pictures!

"My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Waipouli Beach Resort in H305! The resort itself was beautifully landscaped and was centrally located on the island. It was easy driving distance to attractions on both the north and south shores. The condo looks toward the ocean and faces away from the sometimes busy pool area. Throughout the whole process, Vadim was incredibly responsive and a pleasure to work with. The condo was very clean when we arrived and was beautiful and elegantly decorated. We were pleased to find snorkeling gear, beach chairs, a cooler, surf boards, and a fully equipped kitchen. We had a wonderful honeymoon on Kauai and were so happy we choose to rent this condo! We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Perfect Stay and Hosts -- Would Definitely Stay Here Again

"My family of five stayed in this condo for nine days in August and had a fantastic experience. Priscilla was a pleasure to work with (more on than below) and I would without hesitation stay here again for my next visit to Kauai. This unit is located on the top floor and thus is filled with light. (I booked a second floor unit for extended family, which seemed darker.) Building F does not have its own elevator, so you'll need to use the one in Building E and cross over to Building F (a 10 second walk). The condo is spotless and well-appointed. The kitchen fixtures are high-end and, in fact, I wish we had these appliances in my own home. Everything you could reasonably want (coffee maker, espresso maker, rice cooker, etc ...) is provided. Thoughtfully, there are also a few boogie boards, pool noodles, high chair, playpen, masks and snorkels, and cooler in one of the bedroom closets. The grounds are pretty and well-maintained. There is an air-conditioned, glass-walled gym with free weights, various machines, treadmills, etc … You can really work out there – it’s not the forgotten, interior room with only a few machines you often get. With respect to the pool, please note that it is not a lazy river as some other reviews have stated. It has no current flowing through it and instead is a serpentine pool. There are two slides which my youngest enjoyed. The Waipouli Beach Resort is adjacent to and within walking distance of Kapaa, which has a lot of restaurants and small shops. Lots of local color. Safeway, Foodland, Starbucks and a number of restaurants are directly across the street. Kapaa itself is centrally located on Kauai. One morning, we drove to the Kalalau lookout at the end of the Waimea Canyon, which would have been a far longer drive had we stayed in the north shore. We also went to Hanalei twice, which was only about a 35 minute drive (and a pretty one at that). The WBR is close to Lydgate Beach and Kealia Beach (each about a 10 min. drive) and various activities (ziplining, tubing, etc ...) I had such a great experience dealing with Priscilla. She was always pleasant, responded to communications very quickly and thoroughly, and was very accommodating of our travel schedule. I have nothing but good things to say about Priscilla and our stay at her condo. There is no question that I would recommend this condo to family and friends, and that this would be my first choice of accommodations for my next trip to Kauai!"
