  • 10 days of relaxation

"I almost didn't write a review for fear of letting out a secret and making it tough to get a reservation next year. This is the second time we have stayed at Waipouli Beach Resort. It is a beautiful property, quiet and relaxing. Great for kids ( our first trip) and adults this time. The unit we stayed in had everything we could have asked for. I may be partial but I think it is the best unit on the property. All rooms open on to you private lanaiwith the ocean right in front of you. Because no other unit adjoin you the lawn in front is only used by you. It is located next to Oasis Lounge which is a very nice resturant. If I was going to be critical of anything it woud be one room with twin beds which was not really a problem for my brother and his wife and the walk from the parking lot. That is being pretty nit picky. If you haven't been to Kauai you are in for a treat. We can hardly wait to get back and hopwefully in the same unit."

  • Amazing Unit and Location

"This condo was AMAZING. I searched for a while on Homeaway and was slightly scared that the condo furnishing would be dated given the low price but no, the pictures were spot on. The condo was modern, extremely comfortable and clean. Gary, the owner, has everything you need in the condo - beach mats, snorkel gear, appliances, cleaning supplies, dryer/washer etc. Gary was also very helpful from the moment my boyfriend and I inquired about the unit until he returned our deposit after our stay. He even sent us various guides to help us start planning our vacation after we reserved. The location of the resort made life pretty convenient. Since you can't drive completely around the island, staying on the east side of the island makes driving to the south side and north side easier in our opinion. Also, a Safeway is right across the street. On Wednesdays, there is a farmer's market by Kapa'a town square, 5 minutes from the resort, where you can buy a wide variety of fruit and vegetables. As for the location of the unit, it's the first unit at the right corner of the resort. It's the closest unit to the parking lot and if you're hauling in luggage or grocery, the lanai patio door makes it super easy. The resort also has excellent amenities. We highly recommend this condo and will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Kauai.."

  • Humble Home-away-from-Home ***** EXCELLENT location in Kapaa, Kauai !

"If you're looking for modest accomodations in the BEST location on the island of Kauai that's owned & operated by some of the nicest people you'll ever have to do 'business' with, that comfortably sleeps 4-6 people, then LOOK NO FURTHER :) [Unless you'd rather pay triple the price to be 'on the beach'] Bob (owner) & Donna (manager) take care of business with a personal touch. They delivered fresh, homegrown fruits & flowers two (2) times the week we stayed. Donna never let us down if we needed references, directions, or anything else during our stay. Their demeanors are second-to-none! As for the property: - NO traffic noise of vehicles bustling by, yet in the heart of downtown Kapaa. - only 2 short blocks walk to the beach & park that's beautiful, public, and well kept. - 2 or 3 supermarkets a short drive (really long walking distance) from the 'Hale'. - Lots of local shopping & restaurants in downtown Kapaa (all within a short walk). - furnishings not so nice that you feel like you have to be 'careful', yet nice enough & really feel like you're in a place to relax. - kitchen has nearly anything you will need to get the job done. - bedding is comfortable. - double-vanity bathroom with tub/shower. - front-loading washer & dryer downstairs are a definite PLUS (pack & haul less). - tons of windows to open-up and enjoy the fresh island breezes. - Unless you're accustomed to lavish condominiums and have spoiled tastes... YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!! Kapaa is almost located in the center of the 'Horseshoe' of highway that connects everything to see & do in Kauai, so "convenience" is the least you can say about it's location. Another final PERK to mention is that it's sooooo close to the airport in Lihue, for a quick arrival or hesitant departure!!!"

  • Perfect in every way

"The reviews already posted describe this property very we'll. I really don't have a lot to add but wanted to show that all is still extremely nice in March 2014. Location location location. Yes the condo is very nice, we'll stocked and very comfortable but I suspect there are many really nice condos in Kauai. What makes this condo great is its location. The resort is so convenient with respect to seeing the island. Nothing is more than an hour away and the "feel" of Kapaa was more to our liking than some of the higher tourist areas. As mentioned the proximity to shopping and dining is nice. As far as the location of the property within the resort my wife and I believe it was the best unit possible. I know many want oceanfront but watching the activities at the pool with the families was quite entertaining. With the sliders open you hear the sound of joy from the children and their parents. With the sliders shut you hear nothing. The sound proofing of the unit is excellent. You want to go to the hot tub? Look out the window and see how crowded it is and then walk the 27 paces it takes to get there (same distance to the pool). Want to go to the beach? That takes a whole 90 paces. Dinner or drinks at one of the best restaurants in the area? Thats 50 paces. So bottom line as we leave today, for our first trip to Kauai we leaving feeling we picked the right town to stay in, within the town the right resort, and within the resort the right condo. We rarely return to the same place on vacation. There's to much in the world to see. But a week in Kauai just wasn't enough and I suspect we will be back soon. And when we return there will be no decisions on where to stay, you just can't get better than perfect!"
