  • Beautiful, elegant, even better than the pictures!

"My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Waipouli Beach Resort in H305! The resort itself was beautifully landscaped and was centrally located on the island. It was easy driving distance to attractions on both the north and south shores. The condo looks toward the ocean and faces away from the sometimes busy pool area. Throughout the whole process, Vadim was incredibly responsive and a pleasure to work with. The condo was very clean when we arrived and was beautiful and elegantly decorated. We were pleased to find snorkeling gear, beach chairs, a cooler, surf boards, and a fully equipped kitchen. We had a wonderful honeymoon on Kauai and were so happy we choose to rent this condo! We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Great location on resort!

"It was our first time to Kauai and did a lot of research on the island… but to keep it short and sweet and to the condo (mostly) I have to say that overall the condo was very comfortable. It was just my husband and I so having the extra bedroom was nice for luggage and gifts. As for the second bedrooms shower…well I didn't care for it at all lol. I tried using it the night we landed and water went everywhere and I was to short to try to adjust the head and I never tried to use it again so I don't know if it was me or a faulty shower head. Everything else in the condo was absolutely perfect. The bed was great! The location was fantastic. So close to the pool and beach. One thing I wish I did know before choosing this location was that while the beach was beautiful but you couldn't get in the water due to coral and tons of rocks. So that part was a little disappointing but no big deal. On one of the nice days we ended up going to Hanalei Bay which is by far the best beach in Kauai!! And on another nice day we went up the road a few miles and tried that beach as well. I don't remember what it was called but although it was rougher it was still fun :) The pool at the resort was great when you didn't feel like leaving and we enjoyed that too. We were there 10 days and unfortunately we got rained on quite a bit so needless to say I was glad to have the extra space in the condo when tours got cancelled, the workout room close by, and a convenient location to figure out whether we wanted to drive north or south, both being about a 30 minute ride. So overall, I would say that the location to the resort was great for a first time to Kauai since we were there to explore but if you are there to get in the beach, well you might be disappointed. Condo was fantastic though and can't say enough about the location to that. Hope this helps future travelers :)"

  • We stayed 6 weeks and recommend this apartment

"We found our long term rental the old fashioned way: we found a location we liked, drove the road in the neighborhood, saw a vacation rental sign, called and were able to rent an apartment there for our entire stay. We couldn’t have been closer to the beach and the views and location were very special It cost (with negotiation) $4000 a month, including everything. It was a neighborhood on a street that dead-ended near our apartment where developers had not gotten involved. It was 1.4 miles from the main road (Hwy 56 or Kuhio Highway). We were 7.4 miles from Kapaa and generally the traffic was light until we got into town. There were three building units on a large, oceanfront property all owned by our landlady, Esther Medeiros. Our unit was two-story and our apartment was on the top floor. It was called Hibiscus Hale Lani (hibiscus under the sky). See the pictures of our Hibiscus Hale Lani on Essie’s other website. These were not luxurious properties; they were functional, perfectly situated and comfortable. Nice to hang out there! Our apartment was a one bedroom, one bath with two decks that ran the length of the apartment; one deck was on the ocean side and one on the garden side of the unit. Walking toward the ocean in the hallway there was an expansive ocean view provided by two large picture windows, with a sliding glass door in between. The room was a large rectangle with a kitchen and dining area on the left and on the right side: a sofa, an interesting mahogany and drift wood table that we used for a coffee table, and a flat screen TV on a TV table across from the sofa. We had cable TV and very good wi-fi in the apartment (our landlady, Essie, bought a new router for our apartment). Our kitchen had a refrigerator, a microwave, a blender, a toaster and a full 4-burner stove and oven. There were two sinks but no disposal or dishwasher. Audre could cook comfortably in this space and the kitchen was outfitted well enough. So she was happy. Dimitri got his beach house on the sand in a quiet, old-fashioned Hawaiian neighborhood (with good wi-fi and cable) so he was happy. Essie was a very good landlady. If ever there was a problem, we would e-mail her and she would fix it herself or send someone. She made sure that we were happy. Essie had a man come to spray for bugs and the apartment was fairly bug-free. We had geckos, of course. The sound of the waves at the shoreline on our Aliomanu Beach was a constant, calming sound."

  • The condo is wonderful !

"We were 8 nights at this condo, 2 adults and 2 children (6 -8) and the condo is wonderful, better than expected and better than the photos ! The condos has beach toys, boogie board, lifejackets for young kids, 2 coolers, spices, ricecooker, , foil, Saran wrap, Tupperware boxes, Kauai guidebook etc. The guidebook is very useful, we found several beaches to visit. The pool is not cold at this period of time. The kids love the slide ! Finaly, we booked 2 tours operators instead of booking with the concierge. We called directly Kauai Sea tours (snorkeling trip - Napali Coast) and it was cheaper. Also we called directly the Luau Kamalaku at Kilohana Plantation and the price was cheaper. About the snorkeling trip, the main attraction is the Napali Coast, the corals are not healthy and they are fishes but only around the boat. The Napali Coast is incredible ! It was our first time to a Luau, so it was a fantastic experience ! The dancers are amazing ! Overall, our 8 nights at this condo was amazing. It is very beautiful. The condo is not facing the beach, but we were very close to the Safeway, just crossing the street ! You will not regret this condo ! We didn't swim on Waipouli beach, the water is not calm. Instead, we went to several beaches on the north."
