"This cottage is not about luxury, it is about comfort, relaxation and a very reasonable rate. The house is very clean and stocked with everything you'll need and more. Snorkeling, swimming, spear fishing, paddle boarding and beach combing are excellent here and just steps away. Very little effort is needed to negotiate the sea wall to access beach. We spent our first week in my time share and explored the island everyday. However, once we arrived at the cottage we only left twice to get fresh food. I was planning to propose to my love mid-week but was so inspired by the feeling I got 30 minutes into our stay I pulled out the ring and dropped to a knee. She had little option but to say yes as she had the same feeling. Mahalo Nui Loa for making this our most romantic and best Kauai vacation ever! We'll definitely stay here again."

"If you are visiting Kauai, Kapa'a is a great area to stay in. And the Pono Kai is located in one of the best parts of Kapa'a. This was my third time staying in D-308. In my opinion it is located in the best part of the complex and has what I think one of the best views in the complex. The unit is more than adequately equipped regardless if you are staying for a few days or a month. You will find just about everything you need for your stay, like a well equipped kitchen, beach chairs, boggie boards, umbrella, ice cooler, beach towels, etc. All for a very reasonable cost."

  • Dream Spot

"Our family of 4 (including 2 college age students) had a dream vacation here. The condo is beautifully situated on the east coast of Kauai, conveniently to great restaurants and attractions both north and south. And the view from the living room and balcony is even under-stated on the description-greeting us every morning was a gorgeous beach with the soft sound of waves and a beautiful breeze. The furnishings were modern and beautiful, with every convenience possible (one exception is no air conditioning, but that turned out to be a plus as the ocean breeze was more than enough to keep us cool and feeling tropical!). In addition, the owner was incredibly responsive-I received a cheerful response within an hour of my email. Couldn't recommend this condo more highly-we definitely plan to return. It was our first experience with VRBO, and a huge success in every way."

  • Closest Thing to Heaven on Earth!

"Our family of 10 had the most heavenly vacation we have ever experienced at Hale Aliomanu. Everything was perfect and perfectly beautiful; the grounds, house, porches, beach and water. Since there is a reef off the coast, the water is gentle enough for ocean kayaking, snorkeling and swimming right there off the backyard. The house was supplied with the kayaks, water shoes, and lots of other sports equipment. The perfectly manicured lawn was well used by our five teenagers for playing croquet and stargazing. Soooo relaxing. The grandparents were extremely happy in their somewhat separate and equally luxurious spaces. Thanks to Jude, the house manager, we were perfectly pampered in every way. Definitely plan to return if we are ever blessed enough to get back to this gorgeous island!"

Coconut Coast Travel Tips

East Kauai Vacation Rentals Are Where You Can Make a Splash on the Garden Isle

Kauai, Hawaii is known as the Garden Isle for its spectacular natural beauty and amazing East Kauai vacation rentals. As soon as you check into your Kauai lodging, you will immediately want to explore the gorgeous fauna and flora surrounding you. From hiking in paradise to taking a whale-watching cruise, there are certainly plenty of options for exploring the unique natural beauty that is Kauai, all conveniently located near Kauai condos.

East Kauai Vacation Rentals Allow You to Get in Touch with Nature

Kauai condos provide you with the perfect opportunity to explore one of the most famous hiking trails in this region of the world, Kalalau Trail. Not intended for the faint of heart, this 11-mile trail will provide you with unparalleled views of the sea cliffs that comprise the coast. For an even more beautiful hike situated not far from Kauai lodging, consider taking the two-mile Ke'e Beach hike. After viewing exceptional coastline views, the trail will take you through ohia, kuki and bamboo tree groves before concluding at a cozy little beach nestled near a sea cave.

Kauai Condos to Relax in Seclusion

If you are looking for a quiet place to get away and enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle, East Kauai vacation rentals are also located near one of the most attractive and secluded beaches on the island. Ke'e Beach is considered to be at its best by many early in the morning, providing the opportunity to explore the reef located just offshore. You can also enjoy a calm lagoon and a host of different sea life, such as barracuda and turtles, if you feel up to snorkeling. Just make sure you leave your Kauai lodging early enough to beat the crowds.

Take a Whale-watching Cruise near Kauai Lodging

If you plan to time your vacation in Kauai condos during humpback whale season, which runs from December through April, then you will certainly be in for a treat. During this time, these gentle giants come specifically to the beaches of Kauai to give birth. Take a whale-watching cruise and enjoy the opportunity to view whales as close as 50 yards from your boat. Cruises depart not far from East Kauai vacation rentals.
