"We liked the condo a lot, very nicely equipped with a great location - close to everything and yet private and quiet enough. We did not want the feeling of staying in a huge commercialized resort and this was very much what we found. The pools at the other accommodations at the hotel were really nice, very nice to simply be able to walk over and use them. We even got a 10% discount in the hotel restaurants.
The beach directly outside the condo and hotel is not swimmable but just next door on the shore is. But as other reviews state - there are so many other awesome beaches and sights that you really should go out and travel and see them rather than staying put. We toured the canyon, the north-shore at Haena was particularly beautiful. We found good food in the Poipu area as well as enjoying the simplicity of the Kilauea Fish Market near the Kilauea light-house. But next time we'd probably opt to buy steaks at Safeway and do some barbequeing.
We had an unusual and exceptionally hot week in Kauai in early October. There are a/c units only in the bedrooms. Leaving them on with the doors open to the living rooms worked well enough to keep us comfortable. Unfortunately the clothes dryer isn't vented outside so we couldn't use it while we were there, instead we air-dryed our clothes on the lanai without a problem.
The condo is very nice and we'd surely go back and rent again. We liked being on the second floor for privacy aspects. Parking was plentiful and convenient and the condo was quiet and tranquil especially sitting out on the lanai at night listening to the surf and sipping a glass of wine."

"Let's see, what did we love about this place? Everything. Lovely pools and hot tub, view of the pools and of the beach from the nice lanai. The beach was one of a kind. Because of the reef you could wade out in the ocean some distance without any worries of getting washed out to sea, and the beach is so beautiful, and never was crowded, in fact we walked up north on the beach for a mile or two and saw only 3 other peolpe. Very beautiful. There was a great selection of movies to watch although we did not make time for movies on this trip. The room has a good strong air conditioner, comfy bed, luxurious pillows, and is so clean!! (found out this place use to be the Hilton by the way) The resort is in a perfect location where there are no noisy roads or businesses in the vicinity. Once a week they have a hawaiian band come and perform down by the pools, and that was one of the highlights of the whole vacation. The owner bends over backwards to make sure everything is perfect, and the price was delightfully low too. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer."

Nice Resort and Room - Great location for Exploring the Island on your own
"The Resort is nice and staff are very friendly. The pools are great with a sand beach one with a slide, one with a volley ball net, and the other for swimming. 2 hot tubs on either side of the grotto are nice as well. Seems like pools in Hawaii close at 10pm though just FYI. You get a towel card that you exchange for a towel and can change towels out for fresh ones whenever you want, but make sure you exchange for the card back when you check out so they don't charge you for the towels (This also seems pretty standard at Hawaii hotels). We only ate at the Bar once, the food is kinda pricey, but what we got (fish sandwich and burger) we pretty good. There are a lot of great food options on the island as well, plus when you are exploring you mainly eat where you are at. (Tip Top and Keoki's are great local Hawaiian food places and close to the Resort) They have pretty good happy hour specials though at the Pool bar and the one in the main lobby ($6 Mai Tai's).
The room was very comfortable with a great view of the ocean from the porch. The bathrooms are clean and very nice. You do have the option to have your room taken care of every day, but you will have to pay for that. The room has a safe, small fridge, hair dryer, and iron. We got Hawaiian Ahi & mussel poke at the local grocery store that was awesome and stored it in the fridge.
The pictures are accurate so go by those to help make your decision. Was really happy with choosing this option since we were driving all around the Island (all the way to the West for Wimea Canyon Look out - to the North for Hanalei Bay). It's not a 5-star hotel, but a for the price and location a 5-star experience. Had a great time with my wife here, would definitely recommend."

"This is a great rental on a great location. It is central to everything on the island. The rental is well appointed and clean. You have a great view of the pool and the ocean from your room. You have nightly activities at the property to keep you entertained, should you need it. Great pool for adult and kids, but the chairs and towels are not the best choice. The ocean in front of the hotel is not ideal for swimming, but you can take a short drive up the coast and access several beaches that offer you some of the best swimming spots on the island. Let me also add that this is not a 4 or 5 star property, so if you are looking for more luxury and refinement, you should look into other major brands (Marriott, Sheraton, Hyatt and St. Regis)."
