  • LOVED THE ROOM AND RESORT!

"I cannot say enough about our stay in Kauai! It was amazing! When we arrived we were met with smiling faces and helpful hands. Check in was easy and smooth! The room was nice, comfortable and functional. The real treat is the view from the balcony! WOW!!!! It was so great! My sister, two nephews (7 and 6) and I spent a lot of time just sitting out on the balcony enjoying the view. The pictures on here really don't do it justice, it was a beautiful view! The resort was clean, friendly and well maintained. They have a laundry room on site, valet, walking paths, WI FI all around the lounge, entry area, patio, etc. They have a cute lil' coffee shop, coffee was really good!!! The beach at the resort is good, not great but it was nice. Good for walking, watching sunrise and relaxing. Not the best for kiddos to play BUT the pools are AWESOME! We spent a lot of our time hopping from one pool to the next! My nephews LOVED the resort! It was very family friendly. We found the resort to be in a pretty ideal location. It was literally right down the road from the airport (No noise problems at all. Very quiet!) Great location for exploring the island. We did the Napali sightseeing boat tour thru Holo Holo Charters. It was awesome! Got to see dolphins and sea turtles! Not to mention the Napali coast! AMAZING! Staff is great! Donna was great! Quick responses, helpful and nice. Everything ran smooth! THANK YOU for sharing your beautiful room with us, we had a great time!!! Sincerely, The Keith's."

  • Accurate Photos--Nice Conda

"We enjoyed our stay. The pictures and information are 100% accurate. The resort is 10 minutes from the airport. The grounds & staff were nice. You will want to drive into Kapaa or Lihue if you are looking for a restaurant other than the one on the property."

  • Convenient location!

"Great location, less than 15 minutes to the airport and convenient, equi-distant location in terms of other activities on the island. We didn't want to stay in Princeville because it would have been too far from Waimea Canyon, and we didn't want to stay in Poipu because it would have been too far from the North Shore...voila! Kailua Beach Resort. Room was a standard hotel room, clean, and had a fantastic view of the pool/palm trees/landscaping. Mini fridge came in handy. Beach is unswimmable (which we knew) and lots of little kids at the pool. If you are looking for a quiet resort experience and plan to stay on the grounds the whole time, then this would NOT be the place for you. However, if you just need a comfortable and convenient base camp (like we did), then it fits the bill perfectly. Resort had more amenities than I thought (gym, restaurants), but we didn't take advantage of them since we were always out doing other things. Actually, I take that back; we did have Happy Hour one day from 5-7pm at the lobby restaurant, Shutters. Quick drive to Walmart to pick up necessities (7 mins) as well as to Kapaa for awesome breakfast at Java Kai. Kapaa in general was such a cute town a little drive away - two favorite restaurants were Verde (fish tacos) and Hukilau Lanai (fresh, local, original food). All in all, this hotel room suited our needs well."

  • Great Vacation

"We spent a week at KauaiDawn and had a great time. Place was very clean, great propane BBQ that we used a lot, great beach equipment so did not have to buy or rent. Dawn was a great hostess, welcoming us late at night after our flight arrived at 10pm and checking in a few days later as well. With the washer and dryer we were able to arrive with fairly empty suitaces and bring back lots of souvenirs. My wife is usually pretty picky and I check places out fairly well before reserving but I hit a home run this time. She says she thinks she belongs at KauaiDawn's. It's not a question of if we will be back but when. Mahalo, Ken and Heather"

Lihue Travel Tips

Lihue Vacation Rentals Provide Access to Kauai

When you stay at Lihue vacation rentals, you are staying in the county seat of the garden island. Served by Lihue Airport, the area is a great place to stay if you want the convenience of commerce with the opportunity to explore undisturbed nature. In town you'll find big-box retailers like Wal-Mart and Costco, making it easy to buy the things you forgot to pack. Day trips to the surrounding areas let you escape the bustle of the industrial center, and you can enjoy secluded white beaches, mountain trails, and river tours.

Lihue Beach Rentals Let You Live Like a Local

Why spend your time cramped in a hotel room at a crowded beach when you can enjoy the local life? With Lihue beach rentals, you get more space, multiple bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, and all the amenities of home. Depending on the property, you can enjoy flat-panel TVs, DVD players, Jacuzzi tubs, private decks, balconies, and on-site washers and dryers. Vacation rentals make it easy to travel with families because kids can have a separate room. Enjoy grilling on the lanai while the kids take their morning naps. At night, consider a sunset sail or a dinner cruise.

Explore History With Kauai Travel

Through Kauai travel, you'll find many places to explore, including historical attractions. Lihue developed as a result of the sugar industry, and the island still hosts several operational plantations. You can tour the Kilohana plantation by horse-drawn carriage or the narrow gauge railroad installed for tourists before feasting at a traditional Hawaiian luau. In town you'll find the Kuaui Museum, a place filled with the rich cultural history of the island. If you're traveling with kids, plan a trip to one of the ancient Hawaiian temples in the nearby surrounding areas.
