  • Nice Room

"This rental is a nice hotel room and the resort is lovely. The additional fees when you arrive here however are substantial and if you want housekeeping services and fresh towels that is pricey. Also had difficulty reaching the owner with a minor problem. I probably would rent directly from the resort next time."

  • Best location and resort on the island

"My family has been coming to Kauai yearly for 15 years. We have stayed all over the island, in hotels, homes, condos, resorts, etc. The Marriott Kauai Beach club is by far the most convenient location for getting around the island and the resort itself is outstanding. The rooms are spacious enough for what we need, are updated, clean and maintained. The timeshares are convenient with kithenettes, irons, etc. BBQ grills are available right outside. The resort is beautiful. Kalapaki beach is a great all around beach with paddleboard, surfboard, kayak, etc. rentals right on the beach. Kukui's, Dukes and Café Portofino are outstanding restaurants within walking distance. More casual fare: Kalapaki Joe's, Feral Pig, Mariachi's, Bamboo Grill and others are a short walk. The resort offers many activities, a nice gym, beautiful walking trails nearby, golf courses, too much to name. The entire resort including pool, spas, gardens, Koi pond are immaculately kept. The resort is a gem and the rooms are comfortable. This is the best location if you want to head north to Princeville/ Hanalei or South to Koloa/Poipu or West to Waimea Canyon. You are never too far from anything."

  • Our stay in Kauai

"We liked the condo a lot, very nicely equipped with a great location - close to everything and yet private and quiet enough. We did not want the feeling of staying in a huge commercialized resort and this was very much what we found. The pools at the other accommodations at the hotel were really nice, very nice to simply be able to walk over and use them. We even got a 10% discount in the hotel restaurants. The beach directly outside the condo and hotel is not swimmable but just next door on the shore is. But as other reviews state - there are so many other awesome beaches and sights that you really should go out and travel and see them rather than staying put. We toured the canyon, the north-shore at Haena was particularly beautiful. We found good food in the Poipu area as well as enjoying the simplicity of the Kilauea Fish Market near the Kilauea light-house. But next time we'd probably opt to buy steaks at Safeway and do some barbequeing. We had an unusual and exceptionally hot week in Kauai in early October. There are a/c units only in the bedrooms. Leaving them on with the doors open to the living rooms worked well enough to keep us comfortable. Unfortunately the clothes dryer isn't vented outside so we couldn't use it while we were there, instead we air-dryed our clothes on the lanai without a problem. The condo is very nice and we'd surely go back and rent again. We liked being on the second floor for privacy aspects. Parking was plentiful and convenient and the condo was quiet and tranquil especially sitting out on the lanai at night listening to the surf and sipping a glass of wine."
