"My granddaughter and I stayed at the resort in March of 2015. It was the very best vacation ever! I want to come back and stay longer next time. 2 weeks wasn't enough of this beautiful place. We rented a car for a few days to check out other parts of the island. Easy to get around with very friendly locals. The beaches are unbelievably clean and beautiful. I can't wait to visit again!"

"My husband and I just spent a week at this condo. It was a beautiful place to be. The condo worked out very well for us. The view was beautiful. It is located next door to Lydgate Park. There is a paved walkway/road between the property and the ocean. It was great for walking daily. The Park also has two pools formed in the ocean by lava rocks. The beautiful flower arrangement appeared the morning of our first full day. It was beautiful. The property has beautiful flowers all around.
We enjoyed driving from west to the far North. We drove to the Waimea Canyon in the west to Kee Beach in the north. The Kee beach was beautiful. The Smith Family Luau was very good. We also enjoyed the Fern Grotto boat ride.
The owner was great! The condo was in great shape. The owner went of her way to allow us to stay later since our flight leaving was at night. You could stay at the condo and have full access to the ocean/swimming pool and stay busy.
Thank you for helping us have a great vacation!"

"I returned yesterday from a marvelous vacation in Hawaii. I picked this area to stay in due to the location on the island and picked this room based on price. I was just looking for a place to sleep and didn't really care very much about any amenities. BUT the pictures on VRBO and trip advisor don't do Kauai Beach Resort justice (I was not expecting much). I was very pleasantly surprised, it is a very beautiful resort! And the room was more than just a place to sleep each night. The bed was very comfortable, the location in the resort couldn't be beat, nor could the view! View of the pool and a bit of the ocean. I have friends that also rented here through VRBO, but for an increased price and my view and room was much better. She even commented that they didn't have a play station in their room and my lanai view, size and table and chairs were better. (I didn't use the play station or even turn the tv on, but it was nice to have if needed). Everyone at the resort was super friendly. It is nice to have a resort that has pool/hot tub hours till 10pm, movies to watch, and music at night because Kauai tends to shut down after 8pm. The only complaint I have was that my cellular reception (and internet) wasn't good anywhere but on the lanai...so to talk on my phone, I had to go sit on the lanai and take in the beautiful view as I talked with people back home dealing with snow. There are worse problems to have! And the reception on every island was spotty. I disagree with the earlier peoples comment about kids- I think it's probably hit or miss if you are there when kids are. I think I saw maybe 10 kids the whole time I was there- 5 days...but I didn't just stay at the resort, I was gone most mornings by 9 and didn't usually return till 8 or 9pm. There's so much to see while on Kauai, I don't know why anyone would stay just at the resort. Thank you do much for sharing your little slice of heaven with me!"

"Just finished my stay at this property. It was everything that was advertised. You walk into the main room and you are taken away with the beautiful views of Kalapaki Beach. They you walk into the two bedrooms and you have the same beautiful views. Imagine going to sleep and waking up to waves crashing into the rocks below the home. Slept like a baby! Spent the majority of our time at the Marriott pool. Beach a stones throw from the pool. Walk to the pool and beach less than five minutes from the home. Never minded the walk because I knew I wouldn't be confined to a hotel room. My wife and I were able to use the jogging trials throughout the property and the golf course. Rented vehicle to get around Kauai. No problems with parking next to the home. Poipu and other kid friend beaches within 1/2 and hour from home. Good food at Dukes and Feral Pig. My trip ended on 4/10/15, and I still can't get the beautiful views out of my mind. Planning trip for next year. Thank you Steve for the use of your beautiful home!"
