  • Kauai Getaway

"My husband and I stayed here for a week and had a great time. The Studio looks just like the pictures and everything was very neat and clean when we arrived. It's perfect for 2 people. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We loved having all the beach equipment and used it almost every day, including beach chairs, towels and umbrella, boogie boards, very good snorkeling gear, cooler. We highly recommend using the kayak. Don't know how anyone could have more fun for only $25. We had a little trouble with the grill one night but Dawn fixed in a minute and we had no trouble after that. Dawn was always available if we had questions or needed suggestions and she was always glad to help. We found the location to be very convenient and the yard is lush with a little landscaped stream running near the deck. It was nice coming back in the evenings and being greeted by the tiki torches lighting our way to the door. It was sad to leave and we will come back."

  • Great condo

"We traveled to Kauai as a group for 12 days and were very happy with this condo. It is on a 2nd floor with no ramp or elevator so you need to be able to handle stairs if you stay here. It was exactly as pictured, clean, had a nice kitchen stocked with plenty of pots, pans, dishes including a dishwasher & garbage disposal. Toilets were low flow & slow to flush but had no issues with them & showers worked great. The condo is missing chairs & beach items that would have been nice to have. Access to all the pools at the hotel was very nice but swimming in the ocean was fantastic too. Location is central on the island so it's easy to go north or south depending on your plans for the day. A car is definitely needed to get around. All in all a great place to stay with an amazing view of the ocean which was priceless! Mahalo"

  • Comfortable, convenient, affordable lodging.

"I was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful condo for such a great price. The unit was spacious enough for the 3 of us and could easily accommodate more. These owners were so thoughtful providing everything we needed for a home away from home. There was a grill right outside our door which we put to use. This unit is walking distance from great places to eat and a beautiful beach. Kauai is a beautiful island and when i return i will definitely stay here again."

  • Awesome Accommodations!

"Originally we were looking at staying at the Marriott Resort when we stumbled upon the VRBO website and Andrea's private rental. Wow! What an awesome place! It's definitely larger and nicer than a hotel room, less expensive, and right on the water! It's the perfect accommodations for a couple, very private and roomy with nice amenities and a modern touch. It was very clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy our week! The location is just right too. With it being in the middle of the island, you can go south one day and north the next without a lot of drive time. We enjoyed hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, exploring, and learning about the history of the island, and never ran out of things to do. In fact, we easily could have stayed busy for another week! Andrea was kind enough to supply snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs and towels so we didn't have to supply or rent them. Another plus over staying at the hotel! I would highly recommend staying here based on our experience. Andrea and Gary were great hosts, and made it a smooth process. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Kelly and Melinda"

Lihue Travel Tips

Lihue Vacation Rentals Provide Access to Kauai

When you stay at Lihue vacation rentals, you are staying in the county seat of the garden island. Served by Lihue Airport, the area is a great place to stay if you want the convenience of commerce with the opportunity to explore undisturbed nature. In town you'll find big-box retailers like Wal-Mart and Costco, making it easy to buy the things you forgot to pack. Day trips to the surrounding areas let you escape the bustle of the industrial center, and you can enjoy secluded white beaches, mountain trails, and river tours.

Lihue Beach Rentals Let You Live Like a Local

Why spend your time cramped in a hotel room at a crowded beach when you can enjoy the local life? With Lihue beach rentals, you get more space, multiple bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, and all the amenities of home. Depending on the property, you can enjoy flat-panel TVs, DVD players, Jacuzzi tubs, private decks, balconies, and on-site washers and dryers. Vacation rentals make it easy to travel with families because kids can have a separate room. Enjoy grilling on the lanai while the kids take their morning naps. At night, consider a sunset sail or a dinner cruise.

Explore History With Kauai Travel

Through Kauai travel, you'll find many places to explore, including historical attractions. Lihue developed as a result of the sugar industry, and the island still hosts several operational plantations. You can tour the Kilohana plantation by horse-drawn carriage or the narrow gauge railroad installed for tourists before feasting at a traditional Hawaiian luau. In town you'll find the Kuaui Museum, a place filled with the rich cultural history of the island. If you're traveling with kids, plan a trip to one of the ancient Hawaiian temples in the nearby surrounding areas.
