  • Can't wait to go back!

"We stayed at Duane's condo in June for 5 days. The condo was clean and well-equipped. Both bedrooms had an air conditioner which made sleeping very comfortable. There was plenty of space in the general living areas & the view from the lanai was great. Having access to the resort pools and restaurants make this an ideal location & we will definitely be back!"

  • Convenient location!

"Great location, less than 15 minutes to the airport and convenient, equi-distant location in terms of other activities on the island. We didn't want to stay in Princeville because it would have been too far from Waimea Canyon, and we didn't want to stay in Poipu because it would have been too far from the North Shore...voila! Kailua Beach Resort. Room was a standard hotel room, clean, and had a fantastic view of the pool/palm trees/landscaping. Mini fridge came in handy. Beach is unswimmable (which we knew) and lots of little kids at the pool. If you are looking for a quiet resort experience and plan to stay on the grounds the whole time, then this would NOT be the place for you. However, if you just need a comfortable and convenient base camp (like we did), then it fits the bill perfectly. Resort had more amenities than I thought (gym, restaurants), but we didn't take advantage of them since we were always out doing other things. Actually, I take that back; we did have Happy Hour one day from 5-7pm at the lobby restaurant, Shutters. Quick drive to Walmart to pick up necessities (7 mins) as well as to Kapaa for awesome breakfast at Java Kai. Kapaa in general was such a cute town a little drive away - two favorite restaurants were Verde (fish tacos) and Hukilau Lanai (fresh, local, original food). All in all, this hotel room suited our needs well."

  • Pictures don't do it justice.

"This place exceeded our expectations. Being able to to stay at this beautiful place and also being able to use the Marriotts amenities made it the best of both worlds."
