  • Wow

"Stayed here for 5 nights and loved every minute of it - highly recommend this place. Stunning views, nice feel about the resort, and the condo has everything you would need. Short walk to the beach and beach bar of the Regis, I could have spent hours here if there was not so much to do on the island. The condo is really nicely decorated and has a great modern homely feel from books and DVDs and CDs to the most comfy outside lounges I have ever laid on. Pool area beautiful and we wiled away several hours in the sand bottomed spa with a red wine surrounded by tropical plants - bliss! Joyce was helpful the whole way through, and made it so easy for us to stay another night when we decided we couldn't leave! Only down points didn't really affect us at all. There is construction going on on site, but the condo is so far away you don't hear anything, and only see the odd thing down that end of the resort. Also the resort staff were not so friendly at the reception desk (the activities guy was sooo dismissive) but this is not a reflection of this condo - you can arrange everything yourself and after checkin there is no real reason to have anything do with the resort staff anyway. As an island Kauai is more than worth the visit - Na Pali coast walk, the Canyon, and Hanalei are highlights (and if you haven't taken a helicopter ride, do it!) - and now having been there, I don't think there's a question of which side of the island to stay on - this is it. I really hope I'll be back one day."

  • High Quality details in the most private setting!

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We LOVED Ka Makana. It just feels like home and the first thought I had upon entering was I want to come back to this house next year, and the year after....The open kitchen/living/dining room is large and works very well for large and small groups, cooking, eating, relaxing, etc. The HUGE wrap around Lanai is HEAVENLY. And so practical since all 3 bedrooms have doors to the lanai, along with the big sliding doors off the living/kitchen room. The windows and fans everywhere are great for cross ventilation and to take advantage of the trades. The owner has impeccable, high quality taste: All Clad pots & pans, Wustoff knives, Sereny & Lily linens throughout. Overstuffed beds with tons of pillows, high quality oversized furniture just right indoors and out. And there's even a pingpong table downstairs in the garage, and kayaks, boogie boards and snorkeling equipment. The property is at the dead end of Weke Rd, so very quiet and it feels secluded and away. the two larger bedrooms and rear portions of the lanai have beautiful views of the stream and mountains. GREAT morning views! This house works for friends or family of any ages. Lastly, the Bali Hai Realty team is FABULOUS. Super friendly and full of Aloha, complimentary lei greeting IN PERSON with house walk-through, no-fee concierge services including activities bookings at a discounted price, etc. We rented a larger, very expensive house the previous week from another mgmt agent and they charged for everything, never showed up in person once and the house rules were written by Atilla the Hun. Not Bali Hai. Super friendly, accomodating and ALL ABOUT US! Mahalo a hui hou!"

  • Perfect stay in Princeville!

"This is a beautiful, central place to stay on the North Shore! The home is spacious, nicely decorated and has great amenities to play on the beach, eat in, and make this your home--away-from-home in Kauai. We stayed half of our trip in Poipu but next time we will just come spend our whole time here!"

  • Spectacular, comfy, and literally right at the waterfall!

"It's true. The pictures don't do this home justice. We are Kauai regulars and if we could design our perfect Kauai home, it would be this. The waterfall is spectacular -- beautiful and soothing. There's even a light to illuminate it at night. And the big floor to ceiling windows in the living room take full advantage of this unique location. We thought we'd use the screened porch next to the living room more but when we were relaxing at home we were mesmerized by the falls and wanted to sit in the living room to enjoy the view and the music of the falls. But it's not just about the falls. Location: we have stayed in many vacation rentals on Kauai's North Shore, typically in Hanalei. We love Hanalei, but we wanted to explore staying in other locations. This location is convenient with easy access to the main road but you feel completely secluded. It's a 10 minute drive to Anini and 20 to Hanalei, our two favorite beaches. Plus right across from the entrance to the driveway are a couple of businesses that suited us perfectly -- The Healthy Hut (natural food store, great smoothies) and a few food trucks with great grub (Chef George of Da Jungle, Pacos Tacos, and Shave Ice Tege Tege). Too blessed out to drive to dinner after a beautiful day of surf, sun and hiking? No problem. Initially we were a little concerned about not staying right at the beach, but really it's easier to drive a short ways to the beach thank hike out to some remote waterfall. It's lovely here. The House: Wow. I have dreamed of what a house I would design in Kauai would look like and this is pretty much it. Only I wouldn't have dreamed on being able to be right on a waterfall 😊! It starts with the enchanting waterfall front room. Lots of wood and one of my favorite Hawaiian hoome features -- lots of screened louvred windows. Lots of living space, the home is extremely comfortable. You may be tempted just to settle in here, but you really should head out to the beach and the lighthouse at least. The kitchen is well-equipped. And this vacation home has the best assortment of beach accessories of any home we've stayed at -- chairs (you know, the ubiquitous Tommy Bahama beach chairs), umbrellas, boogie boards. Great. There's also a nice (but open) outdoor shower a nice big deck outside and a little deck off pretty much every room. This house knows how to take advantage of its particular surroundings and the things that make Kauai so special."

North Shore Travel Tips

Kauai North Shore Vacation Rentals Offer Beautiful Scenery and Plenty of Opportunity

Whenever the subject of visiting Hawaii arises, you’re sure to hear of the amazing North Shore of Kauai. Kauai North Shore vacation rentals give you breathtaking views, access to local historical villages, and plenty to see and do during your stay here.

Spectacular Scenery near Kauai North Shore Vacation Rentals

Among the renowned natural surroundings on Kauai’s North Shore is the Na Pali Coast. Cliffs along this coast tower 4,000 above sea level and provide great photo opportunities.

When staying in Kauai condos, you may be lucky enough to find a spot along Lumahai Beach, known for the many movies filmed there and beautiful sands many only dream of. The historical settlement of Hanalei is also found in this area, most often a short drive from many Kauai lodging options.

Stay in Kauai Condos and Experience the Na Pali Coast

Many Kauai North Shore vacation rentals are located on the Na Pali coast, which can provide perfect scenery for both a destination beach wedding and a memorable honeymoon. Movie fans love to visit the Honopu Valley, where parts of the famous “King Kong” were filmed. Afterward, you can curl up on the couch in your choice of Kauai condos to watch the original 1976 blockbuster. For a taste of true hula dancing, book your Kauai lodging near Ke ahu a laka Heiau: the site of a famous hula school where many dancers still come to practice their craft.

Step Back in Time at Kauai Lodging in Hanalei

Anyone visiting the original settlement area of Hanalei feels as if they’ve taken a trip back in time. Many Kauai North Shore vacation rentals are found in or near the area, giving you easy access to the surrounding sights and activities available.

You may venture from the Kauai condos to tour one of the wet or dry caves in Hanalei, or even simply visit local shops to find your needed souvenirs. Kauai lodging also gives easy access to Hanalei Bay, Lumahai Beach, Makana Peak, Kee Beach and Waioli Mission House.
