"From the moment you drive through the gate this property does not disappoint. The yard is lush and spacious, loads of room for all to run around. I can only imagine what it is like when flowers are in season. The house is open concept and very roomy. Having two separate bedroom wings is beneficial. Favorite shower? The outdoor one was a HUGE hit with everyone! Upper & lower decks were a bonus. So many beach toys, chairs & mats provided. Steps to a fantastic beach. We even managed to snorkel there in the winter. The waves & riptides had the lifeguards close the beaches for swimming on a few days but the house and grounds were so lovely we didn't care. We would highly recommend this property especially in the warmer months."

  • Very Pleasant Experience

"This place is all about location: right on the ocean; somewhat isolated on the North Shore of Kauai, with very little beach activity close by. It's perfect for sitting on the sand and contemplating the waves and crabs scuttling back and forth. You may or may not be able to swim in the ocean right outside (the shack provides some beach toys and chairs), depends on the conditions. The furnishings are perfectly fine and abundant and as advertised; the WIFI worked properly; there were plenty of portable fans in case it got hot; and the washer and dryer are good quality; the bed was comfortable and the towels were good quality, including beach towels. The property was well maintained and clean, especially when you consider you're right on the ocean. The contact was responsive and very pleasant during the booking process, but we had no reason to contact anyone during our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to get away from it all. We enjoyed dining in Hanalei (about 10 minutes south) and the beach park a few miles north. There's also a coffee shop within walking distance, although we normally had our own. I would recommend stocking up on food in Kapa'a (Safeway or Foodland) since it's less expensive and better selection; but there are stores (including a natural food store) in Hanalei. I would give five starts if it weren't so expensive."

  • Loved it!

"This is a very nicely maintained home that is a bit off the beaten path from the "touristy" areas of the island. The access to Tunnels beach is very nice and is a very short walk from the home. The beach itself is beautiful to say the least and it's also was a perfect setting for my surprise marriage proposal. The home was equipped with everything we needed except for a few extra blankets as the weather turned very cool but we're quickly provided upon request. I think the only slight negative was an ant infestation but there was spray available and were eradicated fairly quickly. My guess is that the ants are probably an island wide issue and not from lack of attention by the owners. The view from the lanai was awesome, the bed was a bit too hard for my liking but we adjusted over time. The drive back to the home from Hanalei can be a little freaky when it's dark so just be careful and plan your day trips to adjust to that if you deem necessary. As an additional surprise to my fiancé, her parents flew out for the occasion and found the fold out couch to be comfortable and there was sufficient room for the 4 of us. The owners were very nice and accommodating and I would recommend this property to anyone. If we return to Kauai, we will book this property without hesitation!"

  • Paradise in Kauai

"Beautiful home and location. Very clean. The porch was the best part about this house and we spent many hours on it enjoying the gorgeous view. The kitchen was well stocked. Beach chairs, umbrellas and toys also available. Three king beds were perfect for our three couples. The property manager, Julie, was close by and extremely attentive. We hired a private chef, Aurora Rosin, and that was one of the highlights of our trip. Don't hesitate to lease this home."
