"We stayed at Hula Hale at the end of June with our daughter and son-in-law. The home is charming, fully stocked, and private. The location is lovely for walks and beach access. I read three books sitting on the large wrap-around deck. The drive to the small village of Hanalei is about 15-20 minutes. We had numerous adventures by helicopter, catamaran, and kayak - all readily available near Hula Hale, a paradise in paradise."

"Spent 9 days with this lovely cottage as my husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. We had all these plans to do things outside of Hanalie but once at the cottage it was hard to leave the north shore. So we didn't. The cottage offers a low key local experience to being on the north shore, it's cozy and intimate and allows for disconnection from the world, it's not a resort experience, thank goodness. The outdoor shower was awesome, day and night, my favorite and now I want one at home. Cross the two lane road out front and your on the beach, head up the beach to get your coffee in the morning at the small resort, just up the road is Ke'e and Tunnels, snorkeling and swimming at its best. The farmers markets are great for local items and fruit, yum. Waves in the background in the morning and night, roosters, bird song and so green. We'll be back for sure. Also, Doug and Beverly are amazing people, just the best."

  • One of a kind home only minutes from Ke'e Beach and Tunnels Beach

"My wife and I stayed at this house last week and had a great time. The house has a very unique tree house design and contained everything we needed for our stay. The outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach. It was a great location for us because of its closeness to our favorite beach (Ke'e), the beach where we were married (Tunnels) and our favorite restaurant (Med. Gourmet). One things I should mention is that light sleepers could have an issue with the open windows. As as with most houses in this location, there is no need for air conditioning because of the breeze from the trade winds. However, to obtain the favorable breeze, we needed to keep all of the windows open (with screens). Since there are so many windows, and the ocean is far enough away that you cannot hear the waves crashing, we heard the noises of the geckos and other insects. This was not a problem for us, other than one night when we woke up due to one particularly loud croak. However if you are a light sleeper, it could wake you up. It was not a problem for us."

  • King Hale Kauai

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group consisted of three persons from AU and four persons from US. The house and amenities were everything we hoped it would be and the area around the north side of the island was just pristine. Although it is a bit remote for travel, it is justifiable by the beauty and seclusion. We hiked; rode the catamaran around Na Pali Beach; toured the canyons; enjoyed the beach; enjoyed the scenery from the deck of the house and a cool evening with dinner prepared by Chef Megan....hated to leave."
