  • Close to Ke'e Beach

"My sister and I and our spouses stayed in this house for a week. We are senior citizens so I can attest to the comfort of this house. You will have to carry your suitcases to the 2nd floor if you are staying up there, but there are 2 BRs on the bottom floor as well. Being from Mississippi, we were worried about no A/C, but we opened the windows and turned on the fans and we were fine. We liked having our own bathroom and I must say that all of the bathrooms were really first class. Kitchen was top notch. Only thing missing was an electric hand mixer but we made do with what they had. This house is close to Ke'e beach -- 2 miles down the road. It is the best beach for snorkeling -- but get there early. We left the house at 8:15 and were there just in the nick of time to get a parking place in the lot, but still a walk to the beach. The house is a 30 second walk to the Kapuhi beach. We would set out our chairs at night on the sand and watch the sunsets. It was beautiful."

  • Can We Stay Longer?

"This was the trip we had been dreaming of for a long time, and am only grateful that we waited until this rental was available. The house was absolutely everything we could have hoped for, and the quiet and peaceful location was the perfect backdrop for our little island retreat. Waking up to the sound of singing birds we rolled out of bed and stumbled down to the beach at the end of the road to watch the rising sun. Getting caught in a shower storm on the way back only added to the excitement of island living. With our picnic packed and our snorkel gear in tow we rode our bikes (all gear provided) down to tunnels beach for a magical day frolicking in the sand and surf. Dinner was fresh fish and an abundant collection of fruit and veggies from the local farmers market which just added the the light and airy experience of this incredible and healing vacation. The proximity to all things necessary is extremely convenient, with Hanalei being only a 10 minute drive, and yet when you are in the home you feel like you really are off the map. I cannot say enough of this beautiful home, it's owner and property manager. All correspondence was very timely and helpful. This is now our number one getaway...and we will be back. The only thing that will be different is that we will make sure that we stay longer!"

  • Love it!

"We stayed in this house for a week and didn't want to leave. The house is beautiful, clean, and spacious. We especially loved the outdoor tub and sitting outside listening to nature, watching the horses roam, and getting visits from the little black kitty who lives in the area. One word of caution which has absolutely nothing to do with this house.... The roosters located on this part of the island are crazy and crow from about 4 am to sundown. So if you are a light sleeper I recommend ear plugs if you stay on this side of the island. After awhile you get used to the roosters but they are everywhere. We also had the opportunity to meet Beaux who cares for the home. She is a lovely person and very responsive to a minor issue we had with one of the windows during our stay. We also enjoyed some of the beach accessories they supply as the beach is a quick walk down the road. We love this house and highly recommend it!"

  • Could have been perfect

"We just got back from staying at this house. The location on the North Shore was great and the house was pristine. It is well stocked and the supply room has chairs, snorkeling equipment, boogie boards and shoes to walk on the lava flats. My only negative comment and the reason why I could not give the location five stars is that the internet was horrendous. The speed was less than .25 MB/sec. I could not remotely access my office. Living on the east coast, one of the reasons why I like to vacation west is that the time change allows me to get up very early and work several hours before I start the day. This was impossible and unfortunately, like most people, my business requires a few hours of work per day. What was interesting is that the house had Cable TV. I called the cable company and they stated that they offered speeds of up to 50 MB/sec. I found it odd that a multi-million dollar house would have such terrible internet in this day and age. We were at the house for one week and we had 4 good days of weather. I would come back in the early summer for better weather. The water temperature was about 75 degrees when we snorkeled."
