"My husband and I loved celebrating our 30th anniversary in this beautiful cottage. This was our first visit ever to the Hawaiian islands. The cottage exceeded our expectations. We loved the open feel of the cottage and yet the seclusion of the location off the beaten path. We felt we were able to experience the beautiful Hawaiian natural setting without the crowds. The cottage was very well stocked from the gourmet kitchen to the beach chairs. We loved the lanai! We shared a morning cup of coffee and watched the sun rise and we grilled fresh fish on the grill and ate dinner out there as well. We enjoyed snorkeling at Tunnels Beach, hiking the Hanalei 'Okolehao trail and the Kalalau trail to the Hanakai'ai Falls, a great boat ride to see the Na Pali coast, shave ice in Hanalai, and a day-long excursion down south to the Waimea Canyons with a late afternoon visit to the blow hole and a romantic sunset dinner at the Beach House restaurant. I loved waking up in the morning to roosters, the sounds of the waves, and the gentle showers that gave way to sunshine and rainbows when we were organized to set out on the day's excursion. We are hoping to come back with our children and grandchildren sometime soon. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!"

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
We had a wonderful time in the five bedroom home Ka Wai Aloha. The property easily handled the ten of us including 7 adults and 3 children. Having the large yard to run off what little energy the kids had was a plus. We made a Costco run upon arrival on the island and took advantage of the large kitchen and BBQ."

"We just came home after a 2 week vacation on Kauai. This time we decided to split the trip up and spend 6 nights on the south shore and 4 nights on the north shore. I can't tell you how happy I am that we found this house! I have to say, I was a little nervous. We had a fabulous house in Koloa and I wasn't sure this house would compare. Well - let me tell you, it blew me away! First, the location. It is perfect if you really want to experience the north shore. It's quiet and secluded. When they say you can walk to Tunnels, you really can! I timed it and it took us exactly 10 minutes and it's a lovely walk. If you turn left out of the house and walk 5 minutes up the road, there is a great coffee shop located in an art shop. Wonderful location! Now, the house itself...I was really impressed with the upgrades. Really nice cabinets and appliances and every kitchen amenity you could possibly need. We cooked out almost every night here using the grill and we had everything we could possibly need. The hard wood floors in the master bedroom were gorgeous and the bed was so comfortable. We had our 3 kids stay in the bunk house and it worked so well. I was a little nervous about this at first bc the bunk house is actually separate from the main house. Basically when you open the front door, the door to the bunk house is less than 10 feet away. We had the kids sleep with the door shut but windows open and we could easily hear them if they needed us. It's no further away than their own bedrooms are from our room at home. The bunk house has a queen bed and 2 doubles and was super spacious. The entire house was nice and cool with many fans to keep the air circulating. We had rain showers almost every night and it was awesome to fall asleep to that. I noticed the constant cry of roosters was not as noticeable at this house vs our last - all I could hear was the birds chirping. The other thing I was initially worried about was the fact that there is another rental on the same property called that Treehouse. This was not an issue at all. Other than seeing our neighbors as they came in and out occasionally, we still felt we had total privacy. The main house is situated so that you almost don't even notice the other house. It's no closer than your neighbors on either side.
All in all, a wonderful property that was exactly as it was described! We will definitely be back and are so happy we got this chance to really experience the north shore! Thank you!!"

"We have been choosing Kauai and the Love Shack for two years in a row for our summer vacation. The house is perfectly situated in the most beautiful slice of heaven. The house is a perfect fit for myself, husband and our two little ones. It has everything you need to hideaway and enjoy the beauty all around. Christine, the property manager, is amazing. She makes certain all your requests are attended to once you arrive. The island is full of breathtaking views and outdoor activities. The boys even had personal surf lessons right outside our door of the Love Shack. I highly recommend this vacation house. The house location is even more breathtaking than seen in the photos on Vrbo. Christine, thank you for another great vacation and see you next year! Many Mahalos!"
