"Great location, great lawn area for the kids, not to mention the beach! Far enough away from the crowded tunnels access, but a very short walk to tunnels...better yet, just enjoy the beach/snorkeling in front without anyone around!"

"We just got back from staying at this house. The location on the North Shore was great and the house was pristine. It is well stocked and the supply room has chairs, snorkeling equipment, boogie boards and shoes to walk on the lava flats. My only negative comment and the reason why I could not give the location five stars is that the internet was horrendous. The speed was less than .25 MB/sec. I could not remotely access my office. Living on the east coast, one of the reasons why I like to vacation west is that the time change allows me to get up very early and work several hours before I start the day. This was impossible and unfortunately, like most people, my business requires a few hours of work per day. What was interesting is that the house had Cable TV. I called the cable company and they stated that they offered speeds of up to 50 MB/sec. I found it odd that a multi-million dollar house would have such terrible internet in this day and age.
We were at the house for one week and we had 4 good days of weather. I would come back in the early summer for better weather. The water temperature was about 75 degrees when we snorkeled."

...probably "THE BEST" place on Kauai's north shore
"Our family stayed at this wonderful beach estate for 10 days in March. It couldn't have been more perfect. The setting is stunning, with a huge beautiful yard and palm trees next to the ocean. Also with a shear towering mountain (including a sideways waterfall) as a back drop seeming to rise almost directly out of the property. It is a short distance away but still feels like being in Tahiti or the south pacific somewhere. We couldn't keep our eyes off of the views. The privacy is particularly nice and you feel almost alone on your own private island after entering the gate.
The house itself is nicely architected to enhance its spectacular setting to the max. It is very inviting with everything clean, comfortable and all you could want available. The main living space is on the second level high above the yard, very open and conducive to conversation, family activities and just watching the world drift by. We loved the spectacular views from every part of the house and yard. We ate almost all our meals from the upstairs lanai and could watch the surfers, whales and fantastic sunsets right from the table.
The property sits on the left corner of Tunnels beach, just step off the lawn and jump in, swim, surf, snorkel or just walk the beautiful sandy beach listening to the sea. We saw the monk seals dozing in the sand and sea turtles swimming nearby everyday. We all loved the warm relaxing outdoors shower afterwards. It's also very close to the trailhead for spectacular hikes along the Na Pali coast wilderness park trail.
We very much intend to come back again. Diane made our vacation very enjoyable with her great communications, preparations and ideas. She is the best! Thank you Diane!!"

"This was the trip we had been dreaming of for a long time, and am only grateful that we waited until this rental was available. The house was absolutely everything we could have hoped for, and the quiet and peaceful location was the perfect backdrop for our little island retreat. Waking up to the sound of singing birds we rolled out of bed and stumbled down to the beach at the end of the road to watch the rising sun. Getting caught in a shower storm on the way back only added to the excitement of island living. With our picnic packed and our snorkel gear in tow we rode our bikes (all gear provided) down to tunnels beach for a magical day frolicking in the sand and surf. Dinner was fresh fish and an abundant collection of fruit and veggies from the local farmers market which just added the the light and airy experience of this incredible and healing vacation. The proximity to all things necessary is extremely convenient, with Hanalei being only a 10 minute drive, and yet when you are in the home you feel like you really are off the map. I cannot say enough of this beautiful home, it's owner and property manager. All correspondence was very timely and helpful. This is now our number one getaway...and we will be back. The only thing that will be different is that we will make sure that we stay longer!"
