"We just came home after a 2 week vacation on Kauai. This time we decided to split the trip up and spend 6 nights on the south shore and 4 nights on the north shore. I can't tell you how happy I am that we found this house! I have to say, I was a little nervous. We had a fabulous house in Koloa and I wasn't sure this house would compare. Well - let me tell you, it blew me away! First, the location. It is perfect if you really want to experience the north shore. It's quiet and secluded. When they say you can walk to Tunnels, you really can! I timed it and it took us exactly 10 minutes and it's a lovely walk. If you turn left out of the house and walk 5 minutes up the road, there is a great coffee shop located in an art shop. Wonderful location! Now, the house itself...I was really impressed with the upgrades. Really nice cabinets and appliances and every kitchen amenity you could possibly need. We cooked out almost every night here using the grill and we had everything we could possibly need. The hard wood floors in the master bedroom were gorgeous and the bed was so comfortable. We had our 3 kids stay in the bunk house and it worked so well. I was a little nervous about this at first bc the bunk house is actually separate from the main house. Basically when you open the front door, the door to the bunk house is less than 10 feet away. We had the kids sleep with the door shut but windows open and we could easily hear them if they needed us. It's no further away than their own bedrooms are from our room at home. The bunk house has a queen bed and 2 doubles and was super spacious. The entire house was nice and cool with many fans to keep the air circulating. We had rain showers almost every night and it was awesome to fall asleep to that. I noticed the constant cry of roosters was not as noticeable at this house vs our last - all I could hear was the birds chirping. The other thing I was initially worried about was the fact that there is another rental on the same property called that Treehouse. This was not an issue at all. Other than seeing our neighbors as they came in and out occasionally, we still felt we had total privacy. The main house is situated so that you almost don't even notice the other house. It's no closer than your neighbors on either side.
All in all, a wonderful property that was exactly as it was described! We will definitely be back and are so happy we got this chance to really experience the north shore! Thank you!!"

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
A fantastic property in the best part of Ha'ena. It has ac which, although rarely needed, was great as we had some Kona weather and it was pretty hot and humid. The kitchen pans need a little, updating and the rice cooker didn't work, but those were minor issues. Beds were comfortable. Bali Hai was great and let us have a late checkout since no one else was checking in that day. Would rent this property again."

"The Teak Room was the perfect choice for our stay in what we consider the most tropical, lush part of the Island. The room itself is spacious, cozy, clean and well appointed with everything you need. Tastefully decorated with traditional Hawaiian furniture, bedding and wall art. Wonderful jacuzzi tub and outdoor shower! There's a small but fully equipped kitchen to make a meal as well as a bbq. A private front porch in a tropical setting to have your morning coffee. Surrounded by lush vegetation and right across the street from a beautiful secluded beach! This is truly a gem!!"

"My wife and I enjoyed the Treehouse immensely. Everything was as promised. We enjoyed especially the spaciousness of the living area, the lanai in which you sit among tree tops with a splendid view to green volancanic sculptures, the attention to detail in color and decor, high-end appliances, and utter cleanliness. For us it is important to want to return to a place we have rented at the end of days of adventure and exploring and we always enjoyed coming back in the evening to this place. As others have said, the beach is five minutes away and the Tunnels Beach only an additional 10 to 15 minutes. Since some reviewers have expressed worry about noise if the larger house in front were occupied, we can say that a family of four was there during our stay and while we occasionally heard normal family voices there was absolutely no disturbing noise. At bed time, everything was absolutely quiet and it was possible to hear the ocean in the distance. Jacyln was responsive to several questions we had and when, embarrassingly, we lost the key, she was there withing 25 minutes with a replacement. We are both 75+ and although the stairs are formidable, we knew about them in advance (it is a "tree house"!) and had no trouble negotiating them. "Seniors" may want to assess their fitness but for us it was a great place to stay!"
