  • Perfect North Shore Get Away

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything about Haena Home was perfect for our family of five. Spacious, comfortable and well organized, we fit right in from the start. The kitchen was well appointed and the beach toys were well stocked. The house was impeccably cleaned and the linens were high quality. The view to the water out back and the mountains out front are stunning. We spent most of our time on the huge Lanai when we were at home enjoying the views, the birds and plant life and grilling local fish. You can easily walk to Tunnels Beach for the best snorkeling (we saw sea turtles on two occasions) or bike to Keé (where you pick up the Napali Coast trail) or to The Coffee Shop at the nearby Hanalei Bay Colony Resort. It is also a short drive to the General Store where you can get beer, wine, snacks and basic supplies. Next door to the store is the SuchiGirl for a perfect beach lunch. The short drive into town is along the beautiful shoreline highway. Despite all the one lane bridges, it is an enjoyable drive. No doubt, we will return to Haena Home. Some Tips: Rent beach bikes from the Bike Doktor Eat at the Dolphin Sushi Bar Don't miss the farmers markets for amazing local produce. Best outing from the North Shore was Wamea Canyon and The Canyon Trail to Waipò Falls."

  • Spacious and comfortable compound

"What a great house for a group of friends . The outdoor areas were a huge plus ... Coffee off the living room deck. Pupus on the larger deck .The big front yard made for a great game of whiffle ball. The outdoor shower was delightful after being at the beach .And the location couldn't be better. There is a fair amount of traffic on the road, but because the house is set back , it's not that much of an issue. The house was very clean and well stocked with nice towels ,sheets , glass wear , and cooking utensils . The beds were comfortable, Having the downstairs area furnished is a nice touch while bar-b-queing . All in all a very relaxing house and we will be returning ."

  • Treehouse Paradise

"My wife and I celebrated our 16 year wedding anniversary at this property. It was a real gem. The facilities were fantastic (great bbq for grilling, full kitchen, great bathroom). I was pleasantly surprised with all the amenities. The view from nearly every window is heaven. Hard not to fall in love with a view from your kitchen table of Bali Hai. The sounds at night and in the morning are like nothing else. It's as if you are staying in the jungle without all the bugs et al. Warning - it does rain a decent amount. Out of our 12 days, it rained about 5 of them. Remember though that the reason it's paradise is because of the mix of rain and sun. The rain forces you to relax and sleep in. We absolutely loved it. Not one complaint."

  • ...probably "THE BEST" place on Kauai's north shore

"Our family stayed at this wonderful beach estate for 10 days in March. It couldn't have been more perfect. The setting is stunning, with a huge beautiful yard and palm trees next to the ocean. Also with a shear towering mountain (including a sideways waterfall) as a back drop seeming to rise almost directly out of the property. It is a short distance away but still feels like being in Tahiti or the south pacific somewhere. We couldn't keep our eyes off of the views. The privacy is particularly nice and you feel almost alone on your own private island after entering the gate. The house itself is nicely architected to enhance its spectacular setting to the max. It is very inviting with everything clean, comfortable and all you could want available. The main living space is on the second level high above the yard, very open and conducive to conversation, family activities and just watching the world drift by. We loved the spectacular views from every part of the house and yard. We ate almost all our meals from the upstairs lanai and could watch the surfers, whales and fantastic sunsets right from the table. The property sits on the left corner of Tunnels beach, just step off the lawn and jump in, swim, surf, snorkel or just walk the beautiful sandy beach listening to the sea. We saw the monk seals dozing in the sand and sea turtles swimming nearby everyday. We all loved the warm relaxing outdoors shower afterwards. It's also very close to the trailhead for spectacular hikes along the Na Pali coast wilderness park trail. We very much intend to come back again. Diane made our vacation very enjoyable with her great communications, preparations and ideas. She is the best! Thank you Diane!!"
