  • Amazing cottage with breath taking views!!

"We were so blown away with all of the extra touches you guys added to this place. Nothing was needed, everything we needed was supplied. First of all the view are breath taking. Right when we walked in, the Hawaiian music was playing and the gift basket on the table with local treats was perfect! This place was more than we ever dreamed. It's a cute cottage with everything you need. Christine was so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. We hope to come back again one day. Thank you for letting us stay!"

  • Can't wait to come back

"We loved our week in the Mermaid house and felt right at home. After a busy week of adventuring on the South/West side of the island we sunk right in to the cozy North. The beaches are amazing and we swam with the magical turtles every day whether it was at Tunnels or right out front at Haena Beach (which has AMAZING snorkeling when the waves calm themselves). Our kids (12 and 6) loved lounging on the couches and looking at all the treasures in the house. My youngest talked about Peggy as if they were long friends. If you are up for it a three hour ramble will take you to the foot of the Napali and back. Sunrise is the perfect time to do this so you can watch the surfers waking up and snaking out across the reefs to get to their morning waves. The local birds are more than happy to ensure you wake up in time to greet the sun :). We didn't go into town much so can't speak to the civilization in the area but the people we met on the beach were always so lovely and happy to share a story or two! We hiked the Napali Trail to the first beach then turned inland to find the waterfall. It was BEAUTIFUL. Our kids are seasoned backcountry hikers so managed very well but its a tougher trail with many stream crossings and challenging trail in places. We will definitely be back to this lovely home and island!"

  • Awesome Haena Beach Bungalow

"We had never been to Kauai before but will definitely be going back. Thank you Alicia for all your help and allowing us to share in the beautiful lifestyle and adventure of the north shore of Kauai. The home was everything we needed, well appointed, clean and conveniently located for our needs. Absolutely perfect! (even arrived home to Australia 2 weeks later to find our deposit refund in the mail )"

  • peaceful and relaxing

"We had a really nice time in this comfortable home near a lovely beach. The snorkeling was great, and we were lucky to see a monk seal on the sand one day. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well supplied. The location was convenient to Ke'e beach with great hiking, but a long drive to other sites of interest. We went to Hanalei Bay several times. The staff was helpful and easy to reach. One thing you should know is that there are wild roosters all over Kauai, and there was one living in the garden of Keiki Leo, crowing loudly for hours, starting at 4:30 AM. Some mornings were worse than others, but it woke all of us up every morning. I thought roosters crowed once at dawn then stopped-- I was wrong. they start before dawn, then keep crowing intermittently for hours, very loudly. I'm not sure what can be done about this issue, since there are so many roosters and they are protected, but if you are a light sleeper, I recommend bringing earplugs."
