"My husband, his sister, brother in law and I had a weeks stay at this lovely home right on the beach in Hale September of 2013. It was for sure the most memorable vacation we have ever taken. The spot is just amazing! The views and privacy is just what we were looking for. Just a few feet to the water, lounging & just plain relaxing with a few that can't be beat. Snorkeling just up the beach...beautiful sunsets...the trip of a lifetime. Just loved it! Can't wait to take our grown children next time! I highly recommend."

"We had a really nice time in this comfortable home near a lovely beach. The snorkeling was great, and we were lucky to see a monk seal on the sand one day. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well supplied.
The location was convenient to Ke'e beach with great hiking, but a long drive to other sites of interest. We went to Hanalei Bay several times. The staff was helpful and easy to reach.
One thing you should know is that there are wild roosters all over Kauai, and there was one living in the garden of Keiki Leo, crowing loudly for hours, starting at 4:30 AM. Some mornings were worse than others, but it woke all of us up every morning. I thought roosters crowed once at dawn then stopped-- I was wrong. they start before dawn, then keep crowing intermittently for hours, very loudly. I'm not sure what can be done about this issue, since there are so many roosters and they are protected, but if you are a light sleeper, I recommend bringing earplugs."

"My sisters and brother spent a wonderful 8 nights from May 9-16 at Hale O'Pulelehu'a. This is a perfect house in a perfect location. The house is open and spacious with a very large well supplied kitchen. We enjoyed grilling almost every night on the propane grill downstairs. From any room you can hear the surf, the rain, the wind and birdsong. As other reviewers have noted, the beach is right across the street. You are only about 2 miles from the famous Kalalau Trail (go early to miss the crowds), Tunnels Beach is 1/2 mile away(great snorkeling, but a bit of a slog in deep sand), and Hanalei is about a 10 minute drive. The house was so comfortable and relaxing we spent a lot of time on the lanai. Hope to be back someday."

"My sister and I and our spouses stayed in this house for a week. We are senior citizens so I can attest to the comfort of this house. You will have to carry your suitcases to the 2nd floor if you are staying up there, but there are 2 BRs on the bottom floor as well. Being from Mississippi, we were worried about no A/C, but we opened the windows and turned on the fans and we were fine. We liked having our own bathroom and I must say that all of the bathrooms were really first class. Kitchen was top notch. Only thing missing was an electric hand mixer but we made do with what they had. This house is close to Ke'e beach -- 2 miles down the road. It is the best beach for snorkeling -- but get there early. We left the house at 8:15 and were there just in the nick of time to get a parking place in the lot, but still a walk to the beach. The house is a 30 second walk to the Kapuhi beach. We would set out our chairs at night on the sand and watch the sunsets. It was beautiful."
