"My husband and I had a lovely stay at Micco's cottage! We loved watching the birds from the lanai, and listening to the rain which always stopped miraculously by the time we were ready to head to the beach. :) We also loved the close walk to Hanalei bay. We stayed for 2 weeks and our first week we used for hiking/Kalalau and exploring - this is a wonderful place for a home base if you're exploring the island! Our second week we took advantage of how close our cottage was to the ocean and surfed/swam the beautiful bay every day.
The cottage is simple but has all the amenities you need - we cooked many nights in the kitchenette. We had a few visitors (ants) but Micco dealt with it so quickly, there was someone by to begin dealing with the issue within 24 hours, and they were gone soon after. One can expect a visitor or two in a tropical climate! :)
I would very much recommend staying here. It was a perfect place for a relaxing, simple honeymoon, or a jump off point for surfing and adventure. Thanks for the great stay!!"

"We wanted very nice, comfortable, affordable lodging in one of the world's most beautiful spots ... and we found it here. The blurb and the photos do not do justice to how large the living space is and how well furnished it is. The closest beach is less than 5 minutes' walk. Tunnels Beach - the most spectacular - is less than a mile away. The area is wonderfully remote - only one small resort in Haena. Bit of a hike to Hanalei for meals, supplies, activities other than beach related. Acacia was very helpful to deal with. If you want an exceptional meal in Hanalei, book early for Bar-acuda."

"We have two seniors graduating from high school this year so we wanted to plan a special family vacation together. We did a ton of research and decided that Hanalei Bay was the best spot for a vacation where we could unplug the kids from their electronics and spend some family time together away from work and team sports. I read the reviews that people had left for Joan's home and we decided that it sounded perfect for our large family of 6.
I have to say that the reviews didn't come close to matching how awesome this house is. The beds were comfortable, the living room furniture was comfortable, and the high end kitchen had all the hardware that we needed to cook and make cocktails. There were even cooking spices in the pantry for us.
The location is perfect. Short walk to the beach and to the Village for groceries and happy hour. All the toys that you need for the beach including coolers and umbrellas and beach chairs.
We would love to stay again!! I highly recommend this great house in the middle of paradise."

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
We had an amazing week at Ka Makana. The house is spacious, clean and very well located (2 min walk from the beach and 2 min drive from the city center)! The only downside is that there are no curtains on the windows!!"
