  • Paradise Found

"My wife and I have visited Kauai for 20 years and wanted to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary with a more unique experience. Our expectations were high, but Mia Huna far exceeded them. The appointments of the home are first class and complete. You want for nothing. Whether sitting on the pool deck, in one of the two jacuzzis, the lanai, or in the house, the views are breathtaking and serene. Fall asleep each night to the waves crashing on the shore right below. We felt like we were at our own private resort the seclusion and privacy was so complete. The personal tour of the property upon arrival is a nice touch that makes you feel more comfortable with all the home has to offer, and it has A LOT! From how to operate the TV's to all the light switches, how to operate the jacuzzis or where all the pool toys are kept, it was nice having someone who knows the property walk us through it. It was the perfect place to celebrate!"

  • Kauai Paradise Farm is truly a paradise!

"We have stayed in many wonderful places that we found on VRBO, but Kauai Paradise Farm is by far the best yet. From the moment we drove up the driveway lined with beautiful foliage and interesting birds until we stepped into the beautiful house, we knew this was the place for us. Each minute after that just got better and better. The 2 BR 2 BA house was spotless and very well stocked. Paper products, bath soap, beach towels and beach chairs were provided. Every cooking pan and utensil we needed was there. Fresh fruit was on the counter and fresh eggs in the fridge as well as a great assortment of condiments. Ellen kept us in fresh eggs the whole time we were there and we picked fresh fruit as we needed to restock. The papaya was especially sweet! Ellen even came by with fresh made Lilikoi ice cream and a Citrus Hibiscus/Roselle drink for us to enjoy. Wonderful! Be sure to visit the Kauai Paradise Farm Facebook page for more info and lots of photos of the fruits and veggies grown there. As others have mentioned, we were concerned about privacy with the owners right next door, but it was never an issue. The hosts were as available as we wanted. When we had questions, Ellen was happy to help, and when we wanted peace and quiet, we had it. Every morning we sat out on the back patio watching the birds and enjoying the views. The gazebo room is fantastic, but we rarely used it preferring to be outside on one of the many patios. We would usually head out for the day after breakfast (fresh eggs and fresh fruit from the farm, yum!) to the nearby ocean beaches, the Kilauea Lighthouse NWR (where Red-footed Boobys, White and Red-tailed tropicbirds, and Shearwaters were easily viewed), or Princeville and Hanalei for restaurants and shopping. The farm is very secluded and quiet. You will need a rental car to get around, but the peace and beauty are worth the short drives to tourist activities."

  • The Texas Gals

"We are a group that travels together several times a year and we usually rent a home. This home was spacious and homey, and yet provided enough space for all of us to easily get ready for the day. The amenities are very nice. As others have said you are in a local neighborhood, but the plus side of that is that you can escape the hustle and bustle. This area provides you a calm escape from everyday life. The neighbors are friendly and a pleasure to be around. One even provided paddle board lessons at a very reasonable rate. A caution for those less than athletic, it is a little tricky to get up and down the levels of terrain getting to the river and at this time the year the current can be a little strong in the river. The water is also quite cold when you fall off the paddle board the first time. We just enjoy our time together laughing and catching up, even if we get a little loud. Thank you for adding this home to have in our memories together!!"

  • WOW!

"This setting was even better than we imagined. Peaceful, gorgeous views of the mountains and ocean, birds singing in the mornings, rainbows, the occasional but brief rain shower. We were thoroughly enchanted. Bruce and Susan are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome. They had beach towels, snorkel gear, and beach chairs for us to use, plus all the normal amenities in the cottage. The outdoor shower is perfect after a long hike or swim in the ocean. We were a little surprised to find the kitchen didn't have a dishwasher or stove (just a hotplate), but we cooked on the outside BBQ which was fun, and washing dishes by hand wasn't a problem. We would stay here again in an instant."
