  • Roomy, Private, Ideal Location

"A great property owner to work with; a very clean, spacious and well-decorated condo with a ton of privacy and an ideal location right above Hideaway Beach, a short walk to the St. Regis beach and a short drive to Hanalei town. Puu Pu'a is ideal and this is a great choice within it. Thanks!"

  • Truly magnificent property - exactly what we were looking for!

"Where do I start? This house is just as advertised...but better! The location is outstanding....we enjoyed almost every meal outside on the lanai and spent a lot of time relaxing on the lanai and watching the waves and palm trees. Almost every room in the house has jalousie windows and oscillating or ceiling fans so the air flow throughout the house keeps things very comfortable. This is a true family cabin....not fancy but cozy and oozing with charm. The appliances in the kitchen are older but they worked fine. There is a public beach access along the property line but a thick hedge shields the house from the very few people who walked to and from the beach. The other side of the property is similarly thickly hedged. Although there is large house behind the property, it doesn't really create any privacy issues since all the Hale Kilo I'a rooms are oriented toward the beach and there was a tall hedge shielding Hale Kilo I'a from the house behind. The beach is beautiful and walkable. It is close to several fantastic swimming and snorkeling locations, although the waves and currents can be pretty strong on the north end of the island during the winter, so we found that the south end beaches were a bit more conducive to swimming and snorkeling while we were there. The house had puzzles, movies, games (indoor and out), beach equipment, and lots more to help you take maximum advantage of the location. The house felt very secure. There were dead bolts on the doors and an additional secure location inside for valuables. The master bedroom was very comfortable and the linens were of high quality. The cell service and the password-protected wi-fi worked perfectly, as did the electronic equipment in the house. The only sounds we heard most of the time were the trees and the waves....it was perfect. The property is located at the north end of the island, so it is at least 2 hrs drive around to Polihale State Park or Waimea Canyon. We explored the entire island pretty thoroughly during our stay. We particularly enjoyed the drive up to and beyond Waimea Canyon State Park, Kipu Ranch (ATV adventure), snorkeling at Poipu Beach Park, exploring Anini Beach and Polihale State Park, Grove Farm Museum in Lihue, Kilauea Lighthouse, Limahuli Gardens, Spouting Horn, etc. We had a helicopter tour scheduled for our last day but it was unfortunately cancelled due to wind, so that is on the top of our list for our next trip to Kauai. We would stay at this house again in a heartbeat!"

  • Beautiful and relaxing

"This condo is absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend staying here. The views are incredible as is the resort. You will not be disappointed. We stayed for 6 days with my family of three girls and brought our babysitter. The condo is spacious and comfortable. Our sitter stayed in her own unit, which is attached, via a door. She had her own bathroom, lanai, and entry. The condo was recently remodeled and looks fantastic. The beds are comfortable. The master bedroom has a Tempur Pedic mattress and a gorgeous view. My two older daughters loved sleeping in the loft, which they accessed via a cool spiral staircase. Kristin at Aloha condos was kind enough to arrange for a pack n’ play for our youngest daughter and a high chair to be delivered. The condo is well stocked and we even found sand toys, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, tennis rackets, tennis balls, and many different sized coolers in the closet. This was great for taking on hikes and to the beach. Hanalei Bay Resorts has a beautiful pool and outdoor hot tub. My kids loved it! The pool is on the colder side but this did not stop us from jumping in. The staff at the resort is very helpful and friendly. Check the resort activity calendar when you check in as they have activities for kids and adults at the resort or nearby in Princeville, like lei making, hula classes, yoga, and scuba diving lessons. The beach is a five minute walk—very accessible and the path is right next to this condo. Hanalei is a quick 10 minute drive. There are jogging and walking paths around the different resorts. Princeville town center is right near the resort with a grocery store. You can also walk to dinner or a bar at one of the nearby resort/hotels. I agree that it will be nice when the Hanalei Bay restaurant is finished. We will definitely come back here!"

Kalihiwai Travel Tips

Feel the Breeze with Kalihiwai Condos

Looking out over that vast blue expanse, positioned on the corner of Kalihiwai Bay, you may think to yourself, "Why didn't I come here sooner?" That strong ocean breeze runs over your neck. Your family, back at the Kalihiwai condo you have rented, is cooking dinner. You spent the entire day on the beach; running, swimming, diving, and snorkeling. Tomorrow, you and your family plan to take a day trip to the Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge and walk under waterfalls and smell the tropical aromas. Life is good. Just one question lies ahead: Why didn't you take this vacation sooner?

Fun for the Whole Family

Always wanted to take a Hawaiian vacation but the check-out times and continental breakfasts have you thinking twice? Don't worry. You'll be back. With Kauai vacation rentals you'll be playing golf, swimming, and enjoying the Pacific sunset in no time.
