  • Fantastic home for exploring Kauai

"My 16 year old daughter and I enjoyed 6 nights in early April in Sunrise cottage. We loved every minute of it. The cottage and beautiful surroundings create such a feeling of well being that set the tone for our vacation from the moment we arrived. We loved waking up in the morning to tropical birds(ok the occasional rooster but you're not going to escape that in Kauai unless you barricade yourself in a hotel and keep all your windows closed)and sitting outside with coffee, admiring the gorgeous flowers which surround the cottage. Many, many beaches are within minutes drive so it's easy to go for a few hours, come back to relax and read and go out to the beach late afternoon again. An extremely well stocked, large supermarket is in Princeville which makes cooking in the cottage very easy. Several good places to eat within very easy driving distance and the bird and whale watching at 5 minute away Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge is terrific. This was our first time to Kauai and I wouldn't stay any other place than the North Shore. The beauty is just overwhelming and our stay in the cottage was perfect!!"

  • Everything we wanted and more!

"We arrived the Hunts' home depleted from a very heavy year of work. From the moment we arrived we were able to relax and unwind. The home was very comfortable and beautifully appointed. The expansive grounds were a delight to look out at, dine in, and explore through each day. Such a treat to pick fresh fruit as we went! Steve was most gracious and attentive and completely available for guidance as we desired. We were looking for a place to relax, that would facilitate family time, and which was removed from standard tourist fare. We got just that and then also were able to take advantage of all the great restaurants and beaches in the near vicinity at our own pace. A truly fantastic experience!"

  • Best Place for A family Gathering

"Our first day was a day of flooding rain, but we hiked anyway and enjoyed the spacious home for gathering and games. There were 15 of us, parents, children and grandchildren(ages 4 to 16) coming together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and 70th birthdays. It was a perfect place to gather. The weather got better and we enjoyed hikes to the water fall and leaping into the water from the rope swing, using the pool, water slide and hot tub, feeding the goats, pigs, and peacocks, kayak trips, one guided by Duane to a special waterfall, beach time at Anini and other beaches, playing air hockey and ping pong and other games, throwing the ball for the dog Tux, watching movies all together on the big screen, bicycling on the trail at Kapaa, a laua in Luhie, beachtime at Poipu, ice cream at Lamberts, taking a helipcopter over the Island, and hiking lots of great hikes. We especially enjoyed having space in the house, a great kitchen to cook in and being able to gather everyone around the dining room table for dinners. Duane was always available to guide or give us information about where to go. He is a welcoming host and added so much to our visit. Our 4 year old loved to ride on all the animals to sit on around the property..from Dinosaurs to frogs. The 7 year old and 4 teenagers spent a lot of time on the water slide..even though the water was a little chilly..the hot tub afterwards was great. We were there 12 days with no hiccups about the fun house or among ourselves. An amazing way to gather where everyone could enjoy what they liked best and them come together in the evenings to eat and share the days activities. Having 4 cars really helped to create the needed flexibility. And the putt putt golf so close by with beautiful gardens was an amazing treat. You will definitely have fun at the Fun House. It was truly a blessing to be there with all our family.."

  • Mahalo nui loa

"We enjoyed a wonderful week staying with these gracious hosts. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and spacious. We liked having our breakfast outdoors with the lovely views as well as walks through the peaceful, beautiful country neighborhood. It was especially nice being out of town a bit, yet a short drive to gorgeous beaches, hikes, and great cafes. Mahalo Chanti and Mike!"
