"My husband and I absolutely loved staying at the Sunrise cottage. From the very first time I spoke with Catherine, she was super enthusiastic and helpful in guiding us to the perfect stay. The Sunrise is very spacious (even bigger than the picture seems), with a lovely living room/bedroom on the top floor. I really liked the skylights/windows in the ceiling and full wall of windows looking out to pure green paradise. The kitchen is better stocked than any cottage I've stayed at (even has garlic press & potato peeler). They have nice touches, like a library of videos and books (Kauai guides too) and fresh fruit, chocolate and tea. The grounds are lovely, with horses, a vegetable garden and friendly pets (1 dog, 2 cats). Staying there made us feel like we were visiting friends, but without the pressure to hang out with those friends. It was in a great location - close to Kilauea (nice bakery, fish market, natural foods market), Princeville (Queen's bath) and Hannalei (Java Kai). Yet, the island is so small, it was convenient to the South shore and Waimea when we needed a bit more sun. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Kauai and are thankful to Catherine and Allan for their impeccable hospitality!"Guest: Sara D. "This is a special rental for people not interested in frills, but interested in quiet and a great location on the North Shore. Close to great beaches. Close to Kilaeua town--decent food, take a zodiac trip along the Napali coast with North Shore trips from Kilaeua. Suggest chairs for the porch to enjoy the evening and lighting above the dining table. Nice spot...."Guest: Sweet spot on Kauai Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 1, 2014View listing
"We stayed for 6 days with 7 adults and had a fantastic time. This place is amazing! It is really like having your own private resort. Each bedroom is a private suite and there is ample space in the kitchen and public areas. We enjoyed the pool and waterside, though stayed busy enough that we didn't use them as much as we thought we would. Duane was very attentive and willing to help with any needs. For instance, the projector in the theater room was not working initially, but he got it fixed right away. He also took us to a 'secret' snorkeling spot that we would never have found otherwise. It is hard to imagine how it could have been any better(well, maybe if it was less money;-)). With all that was there, we would not have gotten bored for a long time and wished we could have stayed longer. We also wished that the grand kids were there to enjoy it. Maybe next time! Would definitely recommend it."Guest: Duane N. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 28, 2014View listing
"My adult son and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Nautical Nights cottage. The other reviews above are absolutely correct! Tony and Diane are very friendly and helpful, and it is obvious they work hard on their property keeping the cottages well-maintained and keeping the grounds and orchards in great condition. We were only there 2 days (we had a longer reservation elsewhere on the island) but felt quite at home during our stay. It is quite a testament to a host’s care for his guests when Tony greeted us cheerfully at 3 am! (Our flight had been delayed by several hours.) We were so thankful for the fresh fruit and fruit bread that awaited us. I enjoyed a 30 minute visit one morning with Diane in the macadamia orchard. The location of Green Acres is perfect with easy access to both the North and South shores. We have stayed several different places on Kauai during our numerous visits; Green Acres is an excellent value and an excellent place to stay!"Guest: Debbie Date of Stay: December 2011 Review Submitted: January 16, 2012View listing
