"I stayed at this beautiful home in Moloaa Bay for 9 nights with wife, daughter, and mother. The stay was perfect with no complaints at all except I wish my stay never ended. The grounds around the house were perfect for my daughter to play and the beach across the street was the best on Kauai. No crowds and perfect for swimming. Super nice trail to the left and perfect swimming to the right. Looking forward to coming back."

"This was my 4th trip to Shangril La and I continue to be more and more delighted with each stay. This is a truly remarkable home, so much so that every time I want to go to Hawaii, it's hard to imagine staying anywhere else.
- It's a short walk to an incredible, kid friendly beach that is always empty
- It's super private and is on an 10+ acres of immaculately maintained land with flowers, trees, a hot tub, a pool with a waterfall
- The house is super comfortable, nicely decorated and has a ton of covered outdoor deck space
- It's in a beautiful, peaceful area that's convenient to both the North and the East shores
If you are looking for a peaceful place to get away that's walking distance to a beach, you will be hard pressed to find a better one at any price in Hawaii. Can't say enough good things about the home."

Please adopt us, Susie, we want to come back home.
"Our wonderful adventure took place the end of July, 2014. Four of us ladies, little girls at heart, discovered this sanctuary and so began the best vacation ever! With a little planning, we kept groceries sufficient in our sand castle for the amount of cooking we were willing to do. We ended up eating out only a few times, saving money for our treasures and keepsakes. The nearby gardens were lovely, the beaches were clean and beautiful, the flora was luscious. The outside shower should NOT be overlooked! In the heat of the day, the back of the house was quite warm; the downstairs shower was a luxury! Our beds were so comfortable we slept long and well. The morning and evening breezes prompted long and happy visits...the television soon stayed completely off. Views from the lanai inspired an artistic revival and watercolors soon flowed like the waves on the shore. We enjoyed the beach here and some days did not venture from this location. Oh, to hear the constant rhythm of the surf and the gentle percussion of the rain lulling us to sleep and calling to us again each new day! Thank you, Susie, for allowing us this visit with you."

"We stayed for two weeks. It was our second stay in two years.
It offers you a real sense of living on Kauai. Better then a condo or hotel, for sure. It rained every day but two. It a 'nice rain' that doesn't last all day.
Remote location. No close neighbors.
10 minute walk to a virtually empty beach. Drive there. Few places to park, but we had no problem.
Beautiful, quiet grounds.
Cheryl and Mike are very accommodating.
Would be better with a full kitchen
Remote location. Not close to any shopping which is about a 20 minutes car ride. You can only walk to the beach (which ain't bad).
No washer/dryer. Use the sink.
Load up groceries at Safeway on your way from the airport or you'll be driving to Foodland in Princeville everyday. And that gets old fast.
Leave your Hawaiian shirts, shoes, long pants at home. You won't wear any of it. Cook on the outside grill. Because of high prices, we suggest chicken, scrimp, perhaps pork. Stay away from Steaks, processed food, diary products. They are all priced too high. We spent about $300 on food for the 2 of us.
Bring bug spray!
Dining out: Drink your cocktails at home if you don't want to spend $10++ for a drink. My average 'eating out' bill was always $100+ for dinner, and about $50 for lunch (nice places). The St Regis hotel in Princeville will set you back over $200++ for 2 (we had 50% off, so not so bad).
Use the farmer's market in Hanalai."
