  • Awesome Vacation !

"What an absolutely exquisite retreat on the very edge of the sea! The sound of the surf lulls you to sleep after you have luxuriated on the rooftop deck under a sparkling night sky full of stars. You can have your morning coffee while gazing down at the sea, watching turtles swimming across the bay and sometimes rare monk seals sunning themselves on the sand. It's literally steps to the beautiful secluded beach, which rarely has more than a handful of people. It's easy to imagine that you are on a deserted island. In fact, the enchanting Maloaa lagoon was once the filming location for part of the famed "Gilligan's Island" series. Both Peter and Sharon are attentive and engaging hosts who have truly thought of everything. From the comfortably appointed bedrooms and kitchen, the jacuzzi bathtub, the outdoor shower, beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc., there is literally no reason to leave this magical place. But if you want to venture forth it's only a short drive to the nearest towns, the charming Hanalei (of Puff the Magic Dragon renown) and the extraordinary Na Pali coast trail. If you really like the idea of getting away from it all, this is absolutely an outstanding spot! I know I will return again....and again."

  • Paradise at Gilligans

"My husband and I recently spent a week at Gilligans! We absolutely LOVED it! What a perfect fit for us!! Cute, quaint, cozy, homey, beautiful and peaceful are just a few ways to describe it! The beach at Moloaa Bay is perfect! The water was wonderful, the beach peaceful! I'm so glad that we chose to stay here and we will definitely be back again. If you are a resort type of a person then this probably wouldn't be a good choice for you! But if you want non touristy and privacy then please choose Gilligans! We felt as if we were at home there! Can't say enough! Aloha!"

  • A Wonderful Experience!!

"Our family stayed at Skippers and had a great experience! Skippers is located in a beautiful valley, within walking distance to Moloaa Beach. The home was very clean and charming with the "Skipper" theme decorations. The home was well-stocked with everything we needed. My wife commented that having a washer/dryer and beach gear (beach umbrella, chairs, beach towels, snorkeling gear, and boogie boards) made staying here so much better than a hotel. I agreed! We had fresh fruit from the yard every day. It is obvious that the house is newer as well, because the whole house (including bathrooms!) feels new, clean, and fresh. Every evening we watched a few episodes of Gilligan's Island with our kids, who had never seen it before. There are many good DVD options available in the home. I also felt that the location was great. It was an easy drive north to the Hanalei Bay area or an easy drive south to Kapaa, Lihue, and Poipu. After a few days, staying here felt like home. This is the perfect location for a family!"

  • A Dreamy Little Cottage - Can't Wait to Come Back!

"We stayed a full week at the Honeymoon cottage with our 1.5 yr old son. The house is SO dreamy! Cheryl was very thoughtful and caring. Mike was equally as nice. The house is nestled away in a peaceful corner of their property and is situated perfectly so that the gentle Hawaiian breeze enters the bedroom. You can hear the ocean crashing in the distance and lulls you to sleep. We had all the necessities for our stay and found ourselves walking around the coconut grove in the morning and grilling on the deck in the evening. The beach is a quick 5 minute walk from the house, a beach with few visitors and the most perfect, silky sand. We can't wait to return! Thank you so much Cheryl and Mike! Our time at Shangri-la will be remembered for lifetimes to come."
