"HAPPY new year! We stayed a an amazing week with our 9 and 19 year old sons. This is a very beautiful and special place. We couldn't believe we had this entire estate all to our selves. Kept wishing we had brought more friends/family to enjoy this fairytale place. It is totally private, you have the pool and hot tub all to your self. The grounds are beautiful with Hawaiian landscaping and Balinese statues, art and style. The home is lovely and obviously owned by an artist. Vintage decor, lamps, prints, furniture, hand painted tile - The entire grounds and home are pure LOVE. Family dinners on the lanai and evening hot tub visits under the stars - the BEST! You can walk to sweet and uncrowded beach at Moloaa Bay. Cheryl and Mike are excellent hosts and we look forward to another stay here during our next trip to Kauai."

"My fiancée and I have traveled extensively. Moments after checking in, my fiancé thanked me for booking "the best vacation rental." Kauai is magical and Moloa'a Bay is no exception. Ocean views from the house are spectacular, particularly during sunrise, but the real lure of this house is it's unmatched character. The interior design is beautiful: entirely wooden architecture, vaulted ceilings, stained glass and unique detail one might categorize as 'retro,' only this house is the real deal. It is bright, airy and filled with the sound of the surf. We loved the seclusion. The house is situated amongst a cluster of homes at the end of a dirt road, 10 minutes from the main road, but the location is still conveniently 20 mins from Princeville/ Hanalei Bay in the north, as well as Kapa'a town in the east.
Our Kauai vacation consisted of three locations and this one was by far the best. We loved wandering on the beach and exploring beyond. I will add the owner was always available and helpful with questions I had about the property/surrounding area. I only wish the second floor were available for a group of friends to bring back!"

"Our family stayed at Skippers and had a great experience! Skippers is located in a beautiful valley, within walking distance to Moloaa Beach. The home was very clean and charming with the "Skipper" theme decorations. The home was well-stocked with everything we needed. My wife commented that having a washer/dryer and beach gear (beach umbrella, chairs, beach towels, snorkeling gear, and boogie boards) made staying here so much better than a hotel. I agreed! We had fresh fruit from the yard every day. It is obvious that the house is newer as well, because the whole house (including bathrooms!) feels new, clean, and fresh. Every evening we watched a few episodes of Gilligan's Island with our kids, who had never seen it before. There are many good DVD options available in the home. I also felt that the location was great. It was an easy drive north to the Hanalei Bay area or an easy drive south to Kapaa, Lihue, and Poipu. After a few days, staying here felt like home. This is the perfect location for a family!"

"My husband and I stayed here for the last stop of our honeymoon. Although Kauai was not our favorite of the islands, this cottage was great. Except for the roosters. They literally started crowing at 2am one night, and didn't stop til the next day. But you're going to get the roosters no matter where you stay in Kauai. The owner said it would take a couple nights to get used to them and he was right. By the third night, I was starting to sleep through them. Other than the roosters, this was a wonderful place. Definitely away from the touristy areas, but not a long drive. The beach is just down the hill. We saw turtles from the shore. The cottage itself was just the right size for the two of us and had a nice outdoor shower. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. Lots of dvd's and books to chose from in the cottage. Enjoyed some good old Gilligan's Island episodes :) Snorkeling gear provided as well! A great way to end our honeymoon. Thanks so much!"
