  • Family friendly Heaven

"The view is not the only absolutely perfect thing about this 3 bedroom Princeville vacation rental. It is close by, but far enough away from the stunning resort pool, the almost private beach, tennis courts and car park to make it very convenient and private. The island style furniture was very comfortable, the beds especially, and we all slept wonderfully. The care and efforts of the owner, rental company and especially the resort to look after us even checking back on us after our arrival was appreciated. The resort was very accommodating and not once did we feel like we were treated any differently to their other guests, as has been our experience in VRBO rentals in the past. This condo is spacious, clean and well stocked, we had everything we needed for our big family of 9. The resort was still undergoing pretty dramatic renovations (Jun/Jul 14) but these were only really obvious to us when sitting by the pool, which we did only a few times as the beach was so close. I would be back tomorrow if I could and can recommend wholeheartedly this vacation rental for big family's & family's with older children especially."

  • Small gem in the middle of Princeville.

"The Hanalei Bay Resort has over 12, 3 floors apartment complex surrounding a large pool, 8 tennis court and wonderful garden located near the Makai golf course and the St. Regis Princeville Resort. Once check in, we walked to studio #1105 (1st floor) which is located in one of the nearest complex to the lobby. The parking is feet away from the front door. We found ourselves in one of the best condo in the resort. Once on the lanai, spectacular view of the mountain, garden, first class seating for the early morning coffee to late night glass of wine watching and listening to birds show all day. The condo was bigger than expected. We decided to leave the murphy's bed down all the time. We made sure to advise the owner that whoever cleaned the condo did an awesome job. The pool located 80 feet from the condo had beautiful falls, small beach area for family, hot tub and more. Small renovation was being done on the northwest part of the pool but we never saw anybody working. The 10 minutes’ walk to the nice beach was great for the nature, view and exercise. This resort is professionally maintained by friendly staff. The experience dealing with the owner (John) was wonderful. We would not hesitate to recommend this resort."

  • Great condo, beautiful property

"We stayed here for four nights - it worked out great for our first trip to Kauai - four nights north, four nights south. As for the condo itself, I agree with everyone else's assessment - the remodel looks fantastic, everything worked flawlessly, and I really don't think we've had a better stay in a VRBO property. Chuck does a great job with the booking process, and providing information on the unit and the property - very responsive. The staff and grounds at HBR were amazing as well - I think they'll be even better once the bar and restaurant are done - it looks like they are making serious progress. The landscaping, pool, tennis courts, everything quite frankly, were in tip top shape. The only thing I would caution people on is taking the word of Google Maps Navigation late at night - it seems it wanted us to go in the back way, which isn't the way to go. Just head north on 56, turn in to the Princeville resort with the big fountain and the guard shack, and you're pretty much there. Chuck provides a TON of info on the island on his website, which was also very helpful. I'd highly suggest checking out the farmer's market in Hanalei town on Saturday morning, and get there before they open - it's a scene."

"Condo reflects Kauai spirit & owners 'personal touches' to make being in their Kauai home extra special. Understand owners are planning some renovations. If so, cannot think anyone could find a more lovely place to stay while visiting Kauai."
