  • Family friendly Heaven

"The view is not the only absolutely perfect thing about this 3 bedroom Princeville vacation rental. It is close by, but far enough away from the stunning resort pool, the almost private beach, tennis courts and car park to make it very convenient and private. The island style furniture was very comfortable, the beds especially, and we all slept wonderfully. The care and efforts of the owner, rental company and especially the resort to look after us even checking back on us after our arrival was appreciated. The resort was very accommodating and not once did we feel like we were treated any differently to their other guests, as has been our experience in VRBO rentals in the past. This condo is spacious, clean and well stocked, we had everything we needed for our big family of 9. The resort was still undergoing pretty dramatic renovations (Jun/Jul 14) but these were only really obvious to us when sitting by the pool, which we did only a few times as the beach was so close. I would be back tomorrow if I could and can recommend wholeheartedly this vacation rental for big family's & family's with older children especially."

  • Perfect combo of a home + resort

"This condo is a fantastic and very reasonably priced place to stay. The view of the mountain is gorgeous. An ocean view is obviously great, but this one is almost as good and makes you feel like you're in a really special place. You're very close to the pool, coffee, the future gym/restaurant, and parking. You're a bit far from the beach but the golf cart service takes care of that quite easily. You get the best of both worlds here because you have a condo with a kitchen to save money on breakfast, lunch, and even dinner if you want but you also have the service and amenities of a resort (the pool is excellent and the staff is super friendly) The owner is also very responsive and helpful. She was readily available in advance via email with helpful tips about the island and during the trip via text to help with settling in. She also returned the deposit very promptly."

  • GREAT Value

"We just returned from our 4th stay in these units at Hanalei Bay Resort and cannot recommend them highly enough. The resort has the most gorgeous pool, with a 2nd pool as well. The hot tub, water falls, stonework are wonderful. The resort now has an exercise room, business center, and extremely helpful concierge service. (If you're staying long enough....I'd recommend going to the orientation by them. I've twice won raffles that included kayaking and a marine snorkeling trip.) The lobby of the resort is brand new and there will soon be a restaurant and bar. The units themselves have gorgeous views and have everything you need to be comfortable. We tended to be out most of the day but always returned to catch the sunsets on the overlook that has a firepit...huge sectional and other seating. For the price, you cannot beat this value. The resort is one of the older ones and has beautiful and mature landscaping. The beach is shared with the St Regis Resort (think The Descendents). The owner is so easy to work with and wants you to come back. We always will! Aloha!"

  • Comfortable Living

"My husband and I stayed in the studio apartment for 6 nights and enjoyed our stay. The apt was easily accessible and nicely furnished. The Murphy bed was quite comfortable. We enjoyed the view as we had our coffee on the lanai in the mornings. The resort itself is gorgeous, and the staff there was friendly and helpful. There are laundry facilities close to the building as well. If you are looking for a place on north shore, I highly recommend this unit. We enjoyed being off the main roads in Princeville, but the central location to north shore attractions. We spent a day shopping in Hanalei and loved eating at Bar Acuda! Hanalei has a great farmer's market on Saturdays also. We spent another day in Kilauea visiting the lighthouse and hiking the Wai Koa loop. It is a 5 mile, low stress hike to the stone dam. The view there is amazing and a must see! Fish Market made for a fantastic lunch there. Also stop in Kauai Nut Roasters for some delicious samples. On the rainy days we didn't mind the drive down to the South side of the island. Find the Fresh Shave shave ice, and you will not be disappointed! The property managers are easy to communicate with and respond promptly. Hopefully we will be making return trips to Kauai with our whole family, and we will definitely consider renting both units."
