"Our family had a FABULOUS family vacation here. The location is perfect. Gorgeous ocean and mountain views and easy access to Queen's Bath. Also, within walking distance (20 minutes) to Hideaways Beach (a lovely place to go snorkeling), or just get dropped off by a family member. Quick drive to Foodland for groceries. Jiletta is very personable and provides great customer service! We highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable family gathering."

  • a perfect house in Princeville

"We spent 10 days at this ideal house. It is exactly how it appears on the pictures, even better. The bedrooms are bright and airy, the beds comfortable, the bathroom/toilets complex is cleverly designed, giving privacy and making good use of the space, the outside shower adding to the options. The common space is pleasant, spacious, especially with the adjacent lanai. The kitchen has lots of cooking tools. Bring your own spices. Overall the whole place is decorated with care and taste. The 2 yards give you a chance to catch the sun or the shade at any time of day. The DVD collection is impressive. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and friendly. Food shopping is next door. Good snorkeling, beautiful beaches within easy reach. Thank you for sharing such a gem."

  • The Best Rental Ever

"My husband and I are accustomed to looking at cars online and have come to expect things not to be exactly as they appear when seen in person. As such, we were not expecting Spindrift to be as beautiful as it appeared in the VRBO listing. Boy, were we surprised!!! It was every bit of the beauty it showed in the ad and then some. The location is spectacular, the home is large, comfortable and beautifully appointed and it is by far the most well equipped rental you could ever imagine. We would not hesitate to stay at Spindrift again and would suggest that anyone planning a stay on Kauai consider this property even if it seems more than you want to spend. It's worth every penny!"

"We stocked up at Costco in Lihue, then were very pleased when we arrived at the house. You never really know till you get there. Our group consisted of four couples, one of whom had three young children. The downstairs master worked well for their family. The four and five year olds slept happily on the floor, and the one year old slept in the pack 'n play in the roomy walk-in-closet. Each of the other couples had a bedroom, although the second upstairs bedroom has a double bed and shares the master bathroom. The upstairs master bathroom has absolutely no doors, so there is no privacy, which may be important when you are sharing the bath with another couple. But it is a very nice bathroom and plenty roomy. The location was wonderful, backing up to a gorgeous golf course. Just know that the grounds people start very early in the morning. It seemed only the upstairs master bedroom couple heard them though. The kitchen has everything you could need for cooking, and the garage has lots of beach equipment from chairs and mats to bikes to snorkeling gear. They have coolers so you can take lunch with you. There is no A/C but the house is designed with louvered windows and doors for wonderful ventilation. It did take a day or two for our little one to adjust to the humidity. Be sure to drink lots of water. The only down side was the refrigerator. It did not cool down enough so we never had ice and had to put the milk in the freezer side for it to get cold. There was a working refrigerator in the garage, but that was not very convenient. We called the manager, and he responded quickly. He was aware of the problem, so we were surprised that nothing had been said about that. A note on the counter would have been nice as we could have put the milk and frozen items in the garage fridge that first evening had we known. The manager did bring us a bag of ice, but ice trays would have worked much better. But we made do, and he said the fridge would be repaired or replaced after we left. Hopefully, that has been done. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay and very close to Hanalei Bay, which was perfect for the kids with gentle waves and a soft, sandy beach. We hiked down to Queens bath, which is very close, and the guys took the hike at the end of the road. We enjoyed a helicopter ride, the Smith Family Luau and lunch and the train ride at the Kilohana Plantation. We also took the river barge up the Wailua River to the Fern Grotto. We would rent this home again!"

Private Homes Travel Tips

Princeville Vacation Rentals are Fit for Royalty

Princeville is an area situated on the North Shore of the island of Kauai in Hawaii. Many travelers and travel experts consider Princeville as one of the most beautiful vacation destinations in the country and possibly the world. With Waimea Canyon, Hanalei Bay and Napali, Princeville offers a variety of activities, day trips or ways to relax during your Kauai travel.

Royal Princeville Vacation Rentals

The royal treatment awaits when you rent Princeville vacation rentals. Princeville beach rentals offer Oceanside rooms, ocean views and the sounds of the tides rolling in while you sleep in your private bedroom or have a homemade meal that you've prepared in your vacation rental kitchen. Fully-equipped and furnished condominium rentals allows visitors to feel like royalty vacationing in paradise while also providing the comforts of home while you're away. Some units house washers and dryers, while others have facilities in the condominium resort, which makes doing a load of laundry convenient since you can toss it in the dryer and relax on the beach until it's time to fold.

Plenty to Do in Princeville

Golfers can play a round of golf on one of the two major golf courses in the area. According to Golf Digest, the Prince Course is "Hawaii's No.1 Golf Course." The other course is the Makai Course, which is home to three nine-hole golf courses catering to golfing abilities that range from novice to professional. If golfing is a bit too strenuous for you, you can always take in a treatment or spend a full day of pampering at the Princeville Spa, which offers an exclusive line of Kauai spa treatments including massages and facials with locally made products. Waterfalls, shopping, dining and the beach are but a few of the additional activities to take in while outside of Princeville vacation rentals.
