"This is an amazing location. The best place to be on Kauai if you prefer natural and less developed beaches. The condo was spotless and had all of the needed kitchen utensils. It has two bedrooms separated by a living room and dining room. The garage comes equipped with four bikes (two helmets, I believe) snorkeling equipment, coolers, boogie boards and more. There are also water shoes of various sizes and beach bags. It was pretty awesome. Robin and Pat were great to work with and answered all questions promptly.
There is a pretty glass table with four chairs on the patio. We ate out there almost every evening. There's also a private electric grill just for your use. And, two nice lounge chairs perfect for watching the impressive stars at night or taking a nap! The pool in the development has a great hot tub and a waterfall. If you find time to use it, it's very nice.
Princeville is located close enough to Tunnels Beach for excellent snorkeling. Hideaway Beach right in Princeville can be reached on bikes from the condo. Steep cliff trail. There's a public beach called Princeville Beach at the Regis just down the road a few miles that is gently sloping and is great for kids. Swimming and Boogie boarding great at Hanalei Bay beach and there are lifeguards.
This condo is close to Queen's Bath. If you are going to drive, arrive early as parking is very limited. We took the bikes with backpacks. Hike down the trail and sea turtles can be seen all along the shore right in the foaming water where they feed. To reach Queen's Bath, go to the end of the trail from the parking lot and turn left. Walk 5-8 minutes over the black rocks. If you want to swim in the bath, be careful and observe the ocean before getting in. We saw people get hurt at the bath. If large waves are crashing over the sides of the bath, don't get in.
This condo is also close to hiking trails. The Okolehao Trail is very pretty. Also, the waterfall hike called Hanakapiai Falls is gorgeous. It's a tough hike; 8 miles round trip. Take a raincoat! The Pihea Trail to the Alaka'i Swamp Trail at Waimea Canyon is beautiful. Like a botanical garden. Even in the fog if you can't see the overlook at the end, the large ferns, moss and bog are something to behold. Bring rain gear!
Amazing home made coconut ice cream just outside of the development near Food Land grocery store. Lapperts Ice Cream. Costco near airport great for groceries. Aloha!"

"The Banana Cabana was an incredible place to stay. Doug was very accommodating and amenable. We stayed for a week and wish we could have stayed longer. The garage definitely had all that you needed, and the location was fantastic. We will definitely stay here on our next Kauai trip. Thanks again!"

"The condo was absolutely gorgeous, well appointed and clean and in a great location! The owners have the place well stocked with beach chairs, towels, snorkeling gear and boogie boards. The kitchen is also well equipped making the place a wonderful stay for families who'd like to enjoy some meals in. I can't think of anything that may have been missing. The decor is very tasteful and the beds are comfy. The sofa sleeper is one that you'd expect, I don't think there are any that are of exceptional comfort! The sofa sleeper is more suitable for younger children under the age of twelve. My son is nineteen, although he didn't complain it was clearly visible that he was too tall for the bed. Another option is to add a twin to the second bedroom offering an alternative to the sofa sleeper and making use of this spacious bedroom. My daughter slept in the queen bed in the second bedroom and wasn't about to share her bed with her older brother. My only complaint is that the dishwasher wasn't working properly. Upon opening I noticed that there was lots of soap residue on the door and decided to fill it anyway. When I used it and added soap, the dishes were still dirty with additional soap residue on the door from our load. We decided to run the cycle again without adding soap and the dishes were still dirty and with the original soap residue on the door. So we had to wash all the dishes by hand, dry and restock in the cabinets since there were so many. It was no big deal since we discovered this early on in our trip. Overall the place was a fantastic choice for our stay and I will absolutely recommend it to all my family and friends. The owners have thought off everything which had exceeded our expectations. Stunning condo in paradise!!!"

"The location of this condo at The Plantations in Princeville was great. Best stocked condo we've ever stayed in, including a rice cooker, crockpot, good knives - everything you would need to prepare meals and enjoy them on the lanai. It is really nice to just drive into the garage and then walk into the kitchen. Our car was always nice and cool when we got in to go anywhere. Beach equipment was also appreciated - so nice to have beach chairs. Not the best snorkeling weather, so we didn't use that equipment, but it was there! The owners were very helpful with any questions we had. Princeville is the ideal location to get to many wonderful beaches and trails and this condo is located in a great Princeville neighborhood. Having the laundry facilities right in the unit is so convenient. We can't wait for our next visit to Kauai and to stay at this wonderfully peaceful and relaxing condo again, but next time we would stay longer than one week. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family who might be visiting Kauai."
