"Stayed here for 5 nights and loved every minute of it - highly recommend this place. Stunning views, nice feel about the resort, and the condo has everything you would need. Short walk to the beach and beach bar of the Regis, I could have spent hours here if there was not so much to do on the island. The condo is really nicely decorated and has a great modern homely feel from books and DVDs and CDs to the most comfy outside lounges I have ever laid on. Pool area beautiful and we wiled away several hours in the sand bottomed spa with a red wine surrounded by tropical plants - bliss! Joyce was helpful the whole way through, and made it so easy for us to stay another night when we decided we couldn't leave! Only down points didn't really affect us at all. There is construction going on on site, but the condo is so far away you don't hear anything, and only see the odd thing down that end of the resort. Also the resort staff were not so friendly at the reception desk (the activities guy was sooo dismissive) but this is not a reflection of this condo - you can arrange everything yourself and after checkin there is no real reason to have anything do with the resort staff anyway. As an island Kauai is more than worth the visit - Na Pali coast walk, the Canyon, and Hanalei are highlights (and if you haven't taken a helicopter ride, do it!) - and now having been there, I don't think there's a question of which side of the island to stay on - this is it. I really hope I'll be back one day."

  • Fantastic owner and unit

"This is not our first trip to Kauai, but our first in staying at a condo and through VRBO. My husband and I were at Paul's condo for 5 nights early December and we had a wonderful experience. First off, Paul is responsive and accommodating. Second, his unit is definitely nicer in person than shown in the pictures, opposite to what one might expect. Even though I will recommend this condo to anyone, this should be an 'Absolute Gem' for families or couples traveling together. With the bedrooms at opposite ends of the unit, staying at Paul's place represents major savings without sacrificing privacy. We did not take full advantage of the well stocked kitchen and do any real cooking while there, but we fully appreciate having sparkling clean kitchen counters and floor. Paul's place is only 6-7 minutes drive away from Hanalei, a little town where you can actually find good local restaurants that are neither hole-in-the-wall with great food nor over priced establishments, a tendency we experienced in Hawaii in general. We like Baracuda as recommended by one of Paul's guest. As others have mentioned, one should not leave Princeville without either having breakfast or visiting the bar at the St. Regis, which is very close by the condo. A light sleeper, I was a little hesitant with staying on a ground floor unit because of potential noise from upstairs but that was never an issue. The King size mattress is excellent in quality, firm but not hard. Having AC in the condo turned out to be a bonus when we were back in the afternoon. With the ceiling fan set to hi, the AC efficiently cools off the unit in 20-30 minutes. As we understand electricity is very expensive in Hawaii, we tried to keep its use to a minimum plus we prefer fresh air over AC. The bedroom is also never hot in the evening with the windows open and the fan set on low. Being from Seattle, we like that Paul's unit offers some recycling (bin inside the garage) as well. Our last day was spent on the beach at Hanalei Bay using the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler that you can find in the garage. Paul, we feel fortunate to find your condo in our last minute trip to Kauai. Its overall cleanliness, a top priority for travelers, exceeds our expectation ! Thank you."

  • Elizabeth san francisco

"My husband and I stayed here for three restful weeks in november 2014. Hardys Happy Hula Hut was just perfect for us in an incredible location, with a panaramic view of the ocean from each window. It was quiet, with the ocean waves lulling us to sleep at night. The little lanai was a great place to have coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night. The condo was spotlessly clean and fully equiped. The bed was comfortable, kitchen easy to use,and I loved sitting in the window bench reading a book from the extensive library. One small thing, the beach walk we were told was too dangerous for us to hike down too but I did see younger folks using the trail. You do have to hire a car to get about . It was a great spot for our vacation and I really reccomend it. It even had snorkeling gear and a cooler for picnics. Thank you Janna for all the careful planning for your clients. I wholeheartedly reccomend your condo for a great vacation spot."

  • Spacious, comfortable condo in great location

"We had 4 adults staying in this condo and it was perfect. It was clean, spacious, airy, and the air conditioning works great. The outdoor space was very nice to enjoy drinks and snacks after a long day of outdoor activities. Short drive to all the things to do in Hanalei. And dinner at the nearby St. Regis hotel Princeville was AMAZING. Owner is very responsive and pleasant. Beach towels are provided, you don't have to bring your own! Would love to stay here again. Only one car parking allowed, which worked for us since we rented just one car for the 4 of us. The condo is on the second floor and you have to take stairs to get up there (no elevator)."
