"My wife and I spent five days in this remarkable and wonderful Sealodge condo unit. The unit is located at the same level as the parking lot, which is reached through a bridge walkway with several steps. The first impression on entering was very pleasing to the eyes and it was furnished like a model home, everything looked new and sparkling clean. Even though it seemed to be small, it was well planned and designed. The other surprise was the welcome package with an assortment of cookies, bottled water, and above all, the canvas shopping bag and a foldable, personal cooler. The view in lawn overlooking the ocean was breathtaking. We spent the next morning taking sunrise photography in the park bench on the right. This is located on a hill to the right and invisible from the bench on the left, where there is a steep path to the beach, where some reviews say is a good place for snorkeling. I would like to commend and applaud the staff at Kauai Vacations Rentals for their constant communication and caring before, during and after our stay."

"Our stay at Puamana consisted of seven of us - ages 7 to 67 - for 10 days. One word we could all agree on to describe the condo was "Awesome". Not only had the owner allowed us to use their beautiful home, they had also supplied many amenities. Need something for the beach... It was there, but possibly the biggest plus was that a tropical storm happened to make us housebound for an evening - what to do! The owner had us covered... With. More than 100 DVD titles... We ended up having a movie night.
What about location? You are within walking distance of Starbucks... Need we say more? The hike to the local beach is a bit of a climb, but quite doable. Also, we walked to the Princeville shopping centres many times... Just a bit far to carry groceries though.
Now for the negatives... I got nothin' - remember it's "Awesome""

"This was our 4th trip to Kauai and we've always stayed in Poipu. We decided to stay in Princeville (north shore) this year so we had better access to the beaches and hikes on this side of the island. We couldn't have picked a better place for our family. The condo is literally on the cliff a couple hundred feet above the Pacific --we saw sea turtles from the kitchen window... amazing. The condo has everything you need from a fully stocked kitchen to all the water activity gear (boogie boards, snorkels, fins, beach canopy tent, etc.). The place even had a nice set of binoculars. The unit is very light and has numerous floor to ceiling windows that afford incredible 'postcard' views. This is an end unit which is a plus too. Really loved it!!!"

"We spent a very nice week in Kauai, and this condo was a good home base.
I would echo what Nancy wrote in her review: The condo has a number of amenities, but everything is pretty well-worn, especially the beach gear (although it is nice to have since you don't have to pack or rent it). Also, it does get very warm in the unit. The fans helped, but there are only a couple windows since most of the condo is sliding doors -- nice during the day, but we closed them overnight rather than leave the place wide open.
That said, the rate is fair for a large place to spread out, a good view and a good location. Princeville didn't seem to have too much beyond condos and golf courses, but there's a nice little coffee shop to start the day. Hanalei is just a 15 minute drive west, with a bunch of shops and restaurants and a great beach. Anini Beach is also very nice, just 15 minutes east. But Kauai is small enough that even Waimea Canyon can be reached in just a couple hours, considering you essentially need to drive all the way around the island.
Lastly, I'll say that communication with the owner was generally responsive, but we put that to the test the night we arrived when we needed to locate and access the unit. We avoided a problem, but it was close. A reminder message to or from the owner a few days before your stay, making sure you have all the information, would be a good idea."
