Great space to relax in
"The Mullen's managed to arrange comfortable beds, furniture, art and handy items in a way that made so easy for two mature, hard-working friends to relax and lean into the island lifestyle. No, we are not campers so having this beautiful condo as a homebase was just lovely. Even managed to get two 50-pound luggages up and down the stairs...darn those great stores in the area. Thank you so much. I will have to bring the hubby next time."

"We have traveled to Kauai many times, but we have never stayed on the North Shore. We will now come back to Princeville. Condo was very well equipped and had beautiful decor and furnishings. Location was very convenient to all north shore activities and shopping. Owners provided great beach chairs, lots of coolers, and umbrella available for use. The complex is a mix of year round residents and some vacation rentals. We found everyone to be very friendly and inviting. This unit is right across from the pool which is really nice. The BBQ is located by the pool, so it was very convenient. We would definitely recommend this unit."

"This is a two-story small house on the property of the main house. It is THE closest house to the famous Hanalei Beach pier. This was perfect for a novice surfer because the best beginner and intermediate waves (October) are immediately to the right of the pier and further out beyond the break.(The other quality waves are far far left on the other side of the bay). I carried my board from the house, through the yard to the beach and right there is the pier. BOOM!
Accomodations are nice, clean, stylish, and updated. Their is an a/c unit upstairs in the master which was essential.
Internet is hardwired. That's great for laptops there was no WiFi which isn't ideal for smart phone use. But our carrier reception was fine.
Noise: ALL of the houses on the single street that run parallel to the beach near the pier have mild road traffic noise from surfers driving to the public beach 2 lots over. However, not once did it disturb us while we were sleeping or trying to sleep. Why? Because most people don't surf at night or early in the morning. During the day? Who cares. We were never home! We were in the water, hiking, boating...anything but staying home inside. Once or twice we took a daytime nap and the wind in the palm fronds or a/c unit pleasantly drowns out most of the road noise.
Some nice features are an outdoor hot water shower and spigot near the front door to wash sand off your feet. Sounds simple but not all homes have this and it's realllllllllly nice. Ie, we'd come off the ocean and beach, quickly rinse down, and then hop in our Jeep to grab some lunch or groceries.
Town's infrastructure is about a 2 minute drive away. Nice.
The owners are very nice and responsive to our needs. The blender (making smoothies) was broken and they replaced it the same day we notified them. Our deposit was promptly refunded. Quality folks."

"This was my overall favorite place to stay out of all the islands we visited!! We were here for a week and felt right at home. Beautiful view: lots of plants behind you and the golf course and you can see the ocean in the distance. Its a short walk to cliff overlooking the ocean where we spent many a night watching the sunset!! its a great location for any activity or destination on the north side of the island. The layout of the condo is perfect. Plenty of room to spread out and lots of privacy. It was only 2 of us but 4 could stay here easily with the 2 full bathrooms and pull-out sofa. Up to date appliances and washer/dryer. Had everything we needed in the kitchen and plenty of room for our own items. Even had nice soaps and shampoos for the bathroom. Only issue we had was not having the trade winds bring some coolness into the condo. We love to cook our own food and of course the oven can make the kitchen hot. There is no a/c in the family are and with no winds to blow through it would get quite hot. The a/c in the bedroom worked (although very loud, I think a bearing is shot??) but its not big enough nor recommended to cool the entire unit. Customer Service with the Parrish Management Company was also excellent. I would highly recommend this place and I hope to come back in the future. One thing I would note though, if you are planning on doing a lot on the south side of the island, you may want to stay on that side (split up your stay). Since there is only one road north and south traffic can get backed-up and you spend a good portion of your day driving. There is so much to see on the whole island so don't cheat yourself on a short stay!"
