Luxury and location
"The pictures don't do it justice. This unit has been spectacularly remodeled with great attention given to every detail. It is very spacious and feels more like a house than a condo. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and there are plenty of towels. We felt right at home. My husband, four kids and myself were very comfortable. Being on the first floor is nice, as it is great to walk out onto the soft green lawn and get pictures of the sunset from every angle. The ocean view is stunning from inside the home. The two minute walk to the hotel for cocktails and live music is a plus.
The beach below the condo is wonderful: very few people, plenty of soft sand, sun and shade, and the best snorkelling we experienced on the island. Getting down there is, quite frankly, treacherous. But my six year old managed it several times.
We have stayed in many properties all over the islands over the years, and we are very impressed with the value of this property. Many condos are smaller and not as nice for more money. We highly recommend this condo."

"My husband and I were looking for luxurious accommodations for our dream vacation to Kauai to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. We found this beautiful condo for our stay in an internet search. The owners were very helpful to answer any and all questions we had about our stay in the condo. After setting things up for a stay in the condo with the owners, we were more than pleased with the luxurious and comfortable location of the condo. First, the condo itself was located in a very quiet area on the North Shore of Princeville. There was gorgeous landscaping and flowers around the condo. Upon entering the condo, we were impressed immediately with how clean and well-kept it was. The bedrooms were spacious, it had a nice living room with wicker furniture and a leather recliner----all of which were extremely comfortable. Off of the living room is a good-sized balcony. I believe in Kauai, a balcony is known as a "lanai". On the lanai there were 2 really nice patio chairs and a small table to relax and read, or just soak in the beautiful view from the lanai. From the lanai, we could see the ocean through a parting of the trees, and the sweet aroma around us of the flowers and beautiful landscape. Back inside the condo, there is a really nice kitchen, fully equipped with cooking ware, coffee pot, microwave, stove, huge refrigerator, and lots of counter space to prepare any meals with our time at the condo. There was also free Wi-Fi included at the condo. There is a swimming pool across from the condo used by residents in this area. We were able to go for a nice swim there towards the end of our stay. You can tell that the owners take great pride in providing a nice place to rest and relax. We stayed for a total of 10 days in the condo, and it was very difficult to leave there after such a wonderful time. We definitely would recommend this particular property to friends and family."

"That is the best word to describe how we felt when we arrived at Pu'u Poa. The pictures do not do it justice! The condo is absolutely beautiful and has everything your could possibly need for your stay. In fact we went to Foodland before checking everything out and bought laundry detergent...it was provided...seriously everything you need! We definitely needed the AC at night in the master bedroom (June), but otherwise the unit cooled nicely with windows and doors open in the evening. We loved the Na Pali Catamaran snorkel trip - definitely a must do! Enjoyed Hanalei Gourmet and Tahiti Nui in Hanalei - great food! Gary was wonderful - answering my questions along the way, providing an informational packet with travel tips, activity and restaurant recommendations, etc. and checking in after arrival to make sure we were happy with the unit - great customer service! We will be returning and will recommend to anyone we know who will be visiting Kauai."

"We spent three weeks at #16 from late July into August, and absolutely loved it. The view from the lanai is amazing. The day after Hurricane Iselle came blowing by, the mountains were just teeming with waterfalls. The house was nice and clean. Short walk to the St. Regis Hotel's beach, and Hideaways was right across the street. The only downside was that we had some noisy neighbors during our last week. If/when we return to Kauai, we will look to rent this property again."
