  • Perfection

"We were so delighted with everything about this home! Not only is it exquisitely appointed, with lovely furniture, FULLY-equipped kitchen (for once I didn't have to buy a new pan or a grater or something), huge walk-in showers, gorgeous individual vanities in the bathrooms, etc., etc., but it also has a huge backyard w/fruit trees and beautiful flowers and a vine-covered gazebo. The place was IMMACULATE, too; their cleaning crew are top-notch -- not a speck of dirt anywhere, and the floors gleamed. What I especially appreciated as well was the ample supplies of t.p., dish soap, laundry soap, all the stuff you usually have to buy after being in a place for just a couple of days. The showers even had huge bottles of body wash! That might not sound that important, but it was indicative of how thoughtful the owners are, and how homey yet elegant they've made their home. The pictures really don't do it justice: it's huge. We never wanted to leave! P.S. The rec room downstairs with the huge flat screen and state-of-the-art entertainment center was really a plus!"

  • Stunning

"One of the finest locations on the HLBR property with breathtaking views of Bali Hai & Hanalei Bay, this condo is immediately adjacent to a bird sanctuary, providing you with solitude, serenity and a true sense of being in the tropics. Tastefully appointed and decorated, with a spacious Lanai, it will quickly become your home- away-from-home that you never want to leave. The beds were comfortable and the convenience of a full kitchen and washer/dryer should not be underestimated in a locale where snorkeling and hiking is often a daily event. The nearby BBQ cabana almost always has an open grill for those dining in. Steve was a pleasure to work with and, in the one instance where we needed something, his on-island contact Zina swiftly provided us with what we needed. The staff at HLBR was unfailingly professional, attentive and friendly. There are so many fun things to see and do on the island that you'll likely spend much of your time elsewhere, but returning to this little slice of heaven is the perfect capstone to every day's adventure in paradise."

  • Excellent

"We just returned from Kauai. Our stay in this unit and our interactions with Paul exceeded our expectations. All you need to do is pick up the basics at the grocery store and you will be all set for your stay. The cabinets are full of anything you need for cooking and there are plenty of supplies for the beach. We left a cooler behind for the beach which should come in handy. I could write a long review but will spare us both the time. You will like this place and the location is perfect. We had 0.0 issues and were impressed with everything about the unit. The view is amazing and the sound of the waves will cover the sounds of the roosters in the morning."

  • Perfect Home Base for Family Trip to Kauai

"We loved the location and set-up of this house. It was the perfect home base for our family gathering on the North Shore of Kauai - my family of 5, my brother's family of 4 and our parents. The sleeping options worked well, it was a quiet street, the landscaping made the house feel very private and with the windows open for the wonderful breezes we did not miss A/C. The kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked in several nights. The extra fridge in the garage was helpful. We made great use of the beach towels and the washer/dryer too. We enjoyed the den and TV/movies and also the back patio and pool table in the pool room. We had two large rental cars, which fit (just barely) in the drive way. The location of the house was great for our short day (or half-day) trips to places like: Hanalei Bay (surfing, boogie boarding, food and shopping), Queen's Bath, Hideaways Beach, Sealodge Beach, Secret Beach, Anini Beach, Tunnels Beach, etc. The house was also very convenient to the Food Land grocery store, where we made several trips. The take out pizza from the gas station/convenience store near Food Land was surprisingly good. Also, working out the logistics for the house with Lori was a breeze. We would definitely recommend renting this house."
