As Wonderful as We Remembered It
"Used our 25th Anniversary and two college graduations as the excuse to return to Hanalei Bay Resort, where we spent a week of our honeymoon. (Also returned to the south side of the island at Kiahuna Plantation and highly recommend trying to do both sides in the same trip, with at least four days for each.) Really is as wonderful a place as we remember it, even with our 20-something kids in tow this time. David was extremely helpful in setting up the reservations and providing advice on the area. The condo (two separate units with a connecting door) was perfect for us. Each side has its own mini-kitchen, bath and lanai. No interior living/dining area, but the larger lanai served that purpose for us and the view from there was so spectacular that we used it often. Perfect location within the complex. Beach is indeed a bit of a pleasant hike down a hill, but definitely worth it and there's a resort phone at the bottom is you want a golf cart ride back up. Suggest booking excursions through the resort concierge, which has special deals and provides good advice. We had an absolutely marvelous stay here."

"Our stay here was fantastic. The condo was just like all of the reviews stated. It was well stocked with many of the at home conveniences. The condo was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We left all of the windows open at night and minimized the A/C use during the day, so we could breathe the fresh Kauai air. We loved the condo and the location and couldn't ask for a better vacation rental home away from home. We didn't want to leave!"

"The unit is well equipped with your starter needs (soaps, trash bags etc). Was very clean and although there is no AC, with the fans and open windows to catch the ocean breeze, it was a comfortable stay. As other's have said the more private entrance is nice. My only complaints is that the description lacks the correct definition for the upstairs bedroom. IT IS NOT A BEDROOM, it is a loft. So if you need complete privacy, then this unit may not be for you. Since we were a single family it worked out well. I would highly recommend this unit to others."

"Once we opened the door to this condo we couldn't believe the view!!! It was stunning! That was the best seller for sure. The condo was equipped with, a small but full kitchen, which was great to make breakfasts in the morning. This was great way to save $, and to eat on the lanai with that great view!
Each morning we were greeted with some NeNe (Hawaii's state bird) They were so cute! This prompted me to look up everything I could on the internet to find out more about them during my stay. lol. The bathroom was huge and had a Jacuzzi tub. Tons of towels, and in the closet a boogie board and an umbrella to take to the beach. We also made use of the washer and dryer in the condo since we were in Hawaii for 10 days, and ran out of underwear!
The resort was great too. The only draw back was that the restaurant was under renovation, and if you wanted a quick bite it was a small drive away. They supply you with beach towels at the front desk when you check in. There is fresh coffee out in the lobby everyday at 7 am.
We picked up breakfast food and snacks at the local grocery store in Princeville. I didn't realize it until 2 days later that there was a rewards card on the key chain to the room key that would have been helpful in getting a store discount, since the items were a bit pricey. The clerk did ask me my phone number for a discount, which I thought was strange since I wasn't from there, but it took 30 bucks off the bill!
I would definitely stay there again!! Like tomorrow, no really, the view was THAT awesome!"
