"I cannot imagine why anyone would stay anywhere else in Princeville. Even if you only need a single bedroom (we were just a couple) treat yourself to this condo. The owner is easy to deal with, and treats you fairly. The condo is better than advertised so you expectations will be met or exceeded. The unit is superbly equipped. Please note, all condos in Puu Poa are NOT equal, no matter how nice they seem. Only four are end units with views both in front and to the side. In 212, you get the perfect Bali Hi view, as well as a view from the side (big windows!) out to the ocean. Hope for at least a little rain, the rainbows are fantastic. Tihs was our third, and by no means our last visit."Guest: Kevin P. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 3, 2014View listing
"My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks in September 2014. We went through VRBO but had to actually book(pay) through Kauai Vacation Rentals and all communication from that point on was with them. For lack of space I will list the Pros and Cons: The Pros: Having condo keys at the car rental agency upon arrival, well stocked kitchen (could use some potholders), great Lanai's, cooler and ice packs for beach lunches, fantastic pool, cloth shopping bags (plastic bags are banned), lots of hangers, washer and dryer, plenty of towels, travel books to use. The Cons: No air conditioning, stained bedroom carpet (gross), stained bathtubs, no cleaning service during our 2 weeks stay, toilet paper that lasted only 1 week, broken beach chairs (we rented our own), jute area rug that killed your feet when you walked on it, not enough small fans, having to return the condo keys to Kauai Vacation rentals in Lihue (inconvenient). When we dropped the keys off we told them about the carpets, asked why they did not supply cleaning service, or enough supply of toilet paper. We were told they only give enough to start you out, that we didn't get cleaning service because we went through the owner but yet we had more communication with Kauai Vacation Rental than with the owners. Over all the place was OK but the location was great. However, when we return to visit the Island again we will choose a condo that has air conditioning as the ceiling fans were not enough for our liking. Tips: Grocery shopping will give you sticker shock, be prepared. Go to local farmers market, go early to the beaches because they get crowded quickly, try the Princeville Zipline (what a rush), tubing the old sugar flumes was great fun, see the Napali coast on a Zodiac for an awesome adventure, snorkel at Hideaway, Ka'a, Tunnels, and Poipu beaches (amazing), and hike the Nalalau Trail. Bottom line: You're in Hawaii... don't let the little things dictate how you enjoy you're vacation and learn to hang loose! Aloha!!!!"Guest: cakerkid Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 11, 2014View listing
"I stayed in this unit for just under a week. I would have moved in if I could have. It was absolutely beautiful. All amenities in the unit were brand new and gorgeous. I was the third wheel in the group so I got to sleep on the pull-out couch. Let me just say I've slept on numerous pull-outs in my time and this was hands down the most comfortable, by far. The owner provides a memory foam mattress pad that helps out even more. The other two guests loved the bedroom they stayed in. I'm guessing that the kitchen and bathroom were just recently renovated because everything was pristine. The washer and dryer in the unit really was a really nice amenity, it came in handy. Also, the grills they have available for guests to use were practically right out of the box Weber grills... very very nice. The view from this unit is breathtakingly beautiful. Every morning I woke up I was more amazed than the last at the view...and if you are in the room for the sunset....prepared to be blown away. The sun sets almost directly in front of the balcony right to the left of the west point of Hanalei Bay (If I'm not mistaken). The staff were very friendly and accomodating. I felt like I was "Norm" in the TV series "Cheers" every time I came back to the resort from being out and about on the island. I cannot wait to go back! I will be sure to book this unit again. After hearing from other vacationers who were staying in HBR as well, unfortunately for them, they did not have the same exquisite room that we did. So please take it from me...stay here...you will not be sorry!"Guest: Kieran M. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: October 7, 2014View listing
"This unit was everything we wanted and more. It accommodated me and two other guests very comfortably. It was in a great location, for we really enjoyed the north shore of the island. We will definitely be coming back!"Guest: mags Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 24, 2014View listing
