  • Great location - easy, professional transaction!

"The location of this home is unbeatable. We walked many times down through Hanalei Bay Resorts to get to the beach at Puu Poa Point (and even hitched a ride for my 75 yr old dad on their shuttle). The beach front here is shared by the St Regis and is spectacularly beautiful and calm. Princeville, while a bit pricey, is a great place to rest your head and plan your next day's adventure. The kitchen in the Mountain View home is very well stocked and so is the beach gear shelf. We had every tool we needed to cook 2-3 meals a day. Next in line for house favorites is the view. It's just you and that gorgeous mountain morning, noon and night. For the size, this home was a fantastic value and we loved it. The transaction was easy breezy and the communication was plentiful. Thanks for a fantastic week-long adventure in paradise for our family of 5 (ages 2-75) !!"

  • Perfect Home Base for Family Trip to Kauai

"We loved the location and set-up of this house. It was the perfect home base for our family gathering on the North Shore of Kauai - my family of 5, my brother's family of 4 and our parents. The sleeping options worked well, it was a quiet street, the landscaping made the house feel very private and with the windows open for the wonderful breezes we did not miss A/C. The kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked in several nights. The extra fridge in the garage was helpful. We made great use of the beach towels and the washer/dryer too. We enjoyed the den and TV/movies and also the back patio and pool table in the pool room. We had two large rental cars, which fit (just barely) in the drive way. The location of the house was great for our short day (or half-day) trips to places like: Hanalei Bay (surfing, boogie boarding, food and shopping), Queen's Bath, Hideaways Beach, Sealodge Beach, Secret Beach, Anini Beach, Tunnels Beach, etc. The house was also very convenient to the Food Land grocery store, where we made several trips. The take out pizza from the gas station/convenience store near Food Land was surprisingly good. Also, working out the logistics for the house with Lori was a breeze. We would definitely recommend renting this house."

  • Honeymooning in Paradise

"The first night of our honeymoon was spent at Hanalei Bay Resort. The view of Hanalei Bay is spectacular from the private balcony. Mountains with flowing waterfalls and ocean waves. We watched our first sunset together as husband and wife. So romantic. The room was clean, furniture (King bed very comfortable) and fixtures were like new, and the little kitchenette was perfect. We made coffee each morning, sat on the balcony and just took in the view. So very peaceful. Included in the room were all the makings for a fun day at the beach (picnic basket, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, etc.). The staff was kind and helpful. Really nice and welcoming. Lots of activities going on daily for all ages. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well kept. The pool is amazing! The owner of the condo is a gem. Such a sweetheart. Greatest lady. She was always available for any questions we had. She suggested places to visit, things to do, where to shop. VERY helpful! The grocery store, shops and restaurants near by were visited often by us. We recommend HBR to everyone we talk to about our stay on the Island. Recommendations would be Jo Jo's Shaved Ice Shack in Hanalei Bay.... we were there twice... gotta have it. Little Thai food place in the complex were Foodland is. Yummy. Rent a car (or jeep as we did) and drive north up the coast. Beautiful swimable beaches. Take a helicopter tour. Worth it! Go see the HBR concierge at the beginning of your stay, she/he will arrange all your activities. The pictures and description for this listing don't do justice. We can't wait to go back!"

  • Perfect place

"We prefer to do things ourselves when we travel, avoiding resorts and hotels etc and this place was close to everything we love about Kauai, the North Shore! Kids loved it...so close to so many great beaches. Our favorites were Secret Beach and Tunnels, and of course Anini. We grilled down by the beautiful pool and swam there every night. Breakfast on the balcony every am. Aloha. for some reason the stars wont let me post...5 for sure."
