"My husband and another couple have been vacationing on Kaua'i together since 2003. We love Haena because of its neighborhood feel and because of its proximity to Tunnels and Kepuhi beach. The place we used to stay became too expensive and a friend recommended Hale Alealea. When we arrived we were immediately enchanted by the large common area, open kitchen, and two large en suite bedrooms. The lanai faces the ocean and is delightfully breezy and comfortable. We enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset, and we met and became friendly with the people who own the house across the street. They allowed us to cross their property so we could walk directly to the beach morning and evening, and invited us for pupus towards the end of our stay. It's great to be able to walk to Tunnels, but Kepuhi is our favorite beach because the coral is still very much alive and there's plenty of sea life to see. The house is very comfortable and so relaxing--we found it very easy to spend a lot of time there. We hope to return very soon!"

"GREAT location! This is my third trip and rental on this end of island. The house was very open and airy. Could hear the ocean. The house is older so has vegetation that is mature and provides privacy. The only reason I didn't rate excellent is because it was a little more dated than the others I stayed in but I would say worth it to be off main road. The couch was sunken in and needs replaced but still useable. I own rental property and would probably not change anything but couch and keep price down. I thought reasonable priced for the house. Would definately stay again and appreciated the opportunity to rent at that price! My sister and I took our mom and aunt. There were 6 of us and very comfortable. Might want to take stairs for two bedrooms In consideration if taking elderly but lanai always worth the stairs!!!!aloha!"

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Haena is our favorite place in Hawaii and this home was quite lovely. The outdoor living spaces were really terrific. The master bedroom was very large and had a small view. The furnishings were attractive and comfortable. The kitchen is good for more than one cook and is fairly well furnished. The managers were very attentive to our concerns. They informed us in person when a plumber was coming to work on the outdoor shower and checked back to make sure we had not been disturbed. The beach in Haena is wonderful for long walks, swimming, and snorkeling. We were lucky enough to see Monk seals and many sea turtles. Nearby Hanalei is bustling with tourists but is charming. Our favorite restaurant is Bar Acuda in Hanalei. The Dolphin is great for sushi and their fish market is fabulous for local super-fresh fish."

"This is a wonderful place to stay. It's out of the way of the busy tourist areas, and on an uncrowded beach with excellent snorkeling. We spent most of our time in the house out on the lanai which has amazing views of the beach and mountains, including a waterfall. It rained a little bit every morning, but always cleared up to give us beautiful rainbows over the beach. The house was meticulously clean, and included everything you need for a stay: beach gear, plenty of plates, silverware, spices, etc... I can't imagine coming back to Kawaii and staying anywhere else."
