Hard to leave
"We loved our time here! The house was perfect for two families with three young kids. Having two bedrooms with twin beds downstairs was great for the little ones, and allowed for some nice separation for the adults upstairs. The lush garden really provided amazing privacy and the kids enjoyed playing out there for hours. We loved the outdoor shower, and I noticed that the owner added towel hooks in response to the previous review. We cooked all of our meals, and the kitchen was great--the only improvement would be some sharper knives. We made good use of the beach supplies, which included boogie boards, snorkels/fins, sun umbrella, mats, and plenty of sand toys for the kids. The location is idyllic with outstanding beaches super close by (we hit a different beach every day without needing to drive more than 5 miles). My wife and I enjoyed taking turns running the Nepali coast trail, which is about a three minute drive from the house. It was also nice to be able to walk a couple hundred yards down the road (or beach) to the coffee shop at the Hanalei Colony Resort. We would definitely stay here again!"

"What an absolutely exquisite retreat on the very edge of the sea! The sound of the surf lulls you to sleep after you have luxuriated on the rooftop deck under a sparkling night sky full of stars. You can have your morning coffee while gazing down at the sea, watching turtles swimming across the bay and sometimes rare monk seals sunning themselves on the sand. It's literally steps to the beautiful secluded beach, which rarely has more than a handful of people. It's easy to imagine that you are on a deserted island. In fact, the enchanting Maloaa lagoon was once the filming location for part of the famed "Gilligan's Island" series. Both Peter and Sharon are attentive and engaging hosts who have truly thought of everything. From the comfortably appointed bedrooms and kitchen, the jacuzzi bathtub, the outdoor shower, beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc., there is literally no reason to leave this magical place. But if you want to venture forth it's only a short drive to the nearest towns, the charming Hanalei (of Puff the Magic Dragon renown) and the extraordinary Na Pali coast trail. If you really like the idea of getting away from it all, this is absolutely an outstanding spot!
I know I will return again....and again."

"This home was absolutely fantastic! The accommodations are spotless and amazingly comfortable. Large spacious kitchen, family room and dining room made it easy for a party of eight. The kitchen was so well-equipped and the beds very comfortable. There was beach towels, snorkel equipment, water socks and beach chairs all available to us. All you need to pack is a couple of bathing suits, a couple pairs of shorts and a cover-up. You are good to go!
The kids were so happy. The family room came equipped with large flatscreen TV, cable and PlayStation. Not that you'll be using them much because There's so much to do on this island. But it was very nice to have when we had some downtime.
This location is fabulous! Close to some of the best beaches on Kawai. Even the beaches that are on the other side of the island are not that far away. Close to horseback riding zip lining and some of the best hiking on the island. We were so happy with this location. Last time we came to Kawai are accommodations were not nearly as luxurious. It was so nice to have wonderful accommodations.
If you're a golfer you will love it here.
Best place ever!!!"

"What a fabulous week. This is our third trip to this particular unit at Pali Ke Kua.
As usual, spectacular. All the comforts of home but of course with the million dollar view. We were so lucky with the weather this Feb...hot hot hot. I'm watching the whales jump as I write this review-right from the breakfast window. Thank you to the owners for sharing their piece of bliss.
As I've mentioned in reviews before, you can't beat this unit because it is a corner unit with a view of both ocean and mountains.
Tip... Do the M, W sunrise yoga class at the Makai golf a few blocks down the street. Mahalo"
