  • Good value

"This was a decent value. The condo is well equipped - towels, kitchenware, furnishings, etc. The location is great - in Princeville located on a bluff over the ocean. This unit has some partial ocean views and feels very private. Parking is good. The unit has no A/C - has a couple standing fans and a ceiling fan but because of the configuration of the unit, it gets very little cross-breeze through the room and therefore - when it's muggy and hot - stays muggy and hot. However, the place is quite nice, good furnishings and lots of details. I would probably stay here again."

  • Perfect Home Base for Family Trip to Kauai

"We loved the location and set-up of this house. It was the perfect home base for our family gathering on the North Shore of Kauai - my family of 5, my brother's family of 4 and our parents. The sleeping options worked well, it was a quiet street, the landscaping made the house feel very private and with the windows open for the wonderful breezes we did not miss A/C. The kitchen was well-stocked and we cooked in several nights. The extra fridge in the garage was helpful. We made great use of the beach towels and the washer/dryer too. We enjoyed the den and TV/movies and also the back patio and pool table in the pool room. We had two large rental cars, which fit (just barely) in the drive way. The location of the house was great for our short day (or half-day) trips to places like: Hanalei Bay (surfing, boogie boarding, food and shopping), Queen's Bath, Hideaways Beach, Sealodge Beach, Secret Beach, Anini Beach, Tunnels Beach, etc. The house was also very convenient to the Food Land grocery store, where we made several trips. The take out pizza from the gas station/convenience store near Food Land was surprisingly good. Also, working out the logistics for the house with Lori was a breeze. We would definitely recommend renting this house."

  • Really a nice place to stay!

"We really enjoyed our stay here! The premises are impeccable, and VERY comfortable. Wonderful kitchen This was our first trip, so I wasn't sure where on Kauai to stay and had a hard time choosing. And didn't want to pay "beachfront" prices. But this location was central and perfect. It was great to be so close to a nice beach (Anini, where snorkeling was wonderful, and we saw lots of turtles); a market (in Princeville); a fun "tourist town" (Hanalei); and the Kilauea wildlife refuge as well. We also went over to Waimea one day - so worth the drive to see the jaw-dropping canyons. I would recommend this vacation rental to just about anyone who just wanted a nice, clean, reasonably priced, and non-resorty place to stay on Kauai. Oh also - very important - the owners are really easy to contact, and respond readily to questions."

  • Rainbows over the ocean!

"This was a nice, somewhat worn but comfortable condo with expansive, ocean views. It is a second story of three and that means it can get noisy above at night. Condo was clean and had everything we needed for cooking. The ceiling fans did the trick in the tropical weather. Roosters were the morning alarm clock which was fine because we are early risers.Take a 30 second walk and you are looking at a breathtaking, tropical shoreline scene. If you like a good value, this is it. If you are picky, not for you."
