"My husband and I stayed at the Orchid Room during our honeymoon. This was our second trip to Kauai and we thought the Orchid Room was a wonderful place to stay. The room fit our needs perfectly after doing a backpacking trip on the Napali Coast. It was nice to have a clean, spacious room with a small fridge and a comfortable bed to stay in. The location is also close to a lot of the places we were interested in visiting without being in a really tourist-y place (we are not hotel/tourist type vacationers). We visited Queen's bath, Tunnels Beach, Secret Beach, and day hiked in the Waimea Canyon (this one was a little farther of a drive). Mahalo for a great place!"Guest: Cait Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 12, 2014View listing
"Our family loved Kauai and this home. My husband who loves to cook, was very happy with every part of the kitchen. The lanai was beautiful; breeze, view and comfort. Our children and my mother stayed upstairs and we had the downstairs which was almost like a private getaway in itself! The bikes and boards were awesome. We were able to get some good surf at a time when there usually isn't too much and the boards were great! We surf in northern California and to surf in warm waters and perfect little waves was an extra treat! Everything is so close too, we walked to town for shopping, shave ice and some Bubba Burgers. Sunsets are perfect for grabbing that Mai Tai and walking around the corner to enjoy it all. I could go on, but I really just wanted to say thank you for adding to our "perfect" vacation! Hope to come back soon!!"Guest: Karyn S. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 31, 2014View listing
"My husband and I were looking for luxurious accommodations for our dream vacation to Kauai to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. We found this beautiful condo for our stay in an internet search. The owners were very helpful to answer any and all questions we had about our stay in the condo. After setting things up for a stay in the condo with the owners, we were more than pleased with the luxurious and comfortable location of the condo. First, the condo itself was located in a very quiet area on the North Shore of Princeville. There was gorgeous landscaping and flowers around the condo. Upon entering the condo, we were impressed immediately with how clean and well-kept it was. The bedrooms were spacious, it had a nice living room with wicker furniture and a leather recliner----all of which were extremely comfortable. Off of the living room is a good-sized balcony. I believe in Kauai, a balcony is known as a "lanai". On the lanai there were 2 really nice patio chairs and a small table to relax and read, or just soak in the beautiful view from the lanai. From the lanai, we could see the ocean through a parting of the trees, and the sweet aroma around us of the flowers and beautiful landscape. Back inside the condo, there is a really nice kitchen, fully equipped with cooking ware, coffee pot, microwave, stove, huge refrigerator, and lots of counter space to prepare any meals with our time at the condo. There was also free Wi-Fi included at the condo. There is a swimming pool across from the condo used by residents in this area. We were able to go for a nice swim there towards the end of our stay. You can tell that the owners take great pride in providing a nice place to rest and relax. We stayed for a total of 10 days in the condo, and it was very difficult to leave there after such a wonderful time. We definitely would recommend this particular property to friends and family."Guest: Stacy Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 17, 2014View listing
"My sister and I and our spouses stayed in this house for a week. We are senior citizens so I can attest to the comfort of this house. You will have to carry your suitcases to the 2nd floor if you are staying up there, but there are 2 BRs on the bottom floor as well. Being from Mississippi, we were worried about no A/C, but we opened the windows and turned on the fans and we were fine. We liked having our own bathroom and I must say that all of the bathrooms were really first class. Kitchen was top notch. Only thing missing was an electric hand mixer but we made do with what they had. This house is close to Ke'e beach -- 2 miles down the road. It is the best beach for snorkeling -- but get there early. We left the house at 8:15 and were there just in the nick of time to get a parking place in the lot, but still a walk to the beach. The house is a 30 second walk to the Kapuhi beach. We would set out our chairs at night on the sand and watch the sunsets. It was beautiful."Guest: Judy S.
